Dr. Murell has order ultrasounds for a thyroid nodule. I have the ultrasound and the hospital tells me he will have the results the next day and he will contact me. Never happens. After waiting several days, I call the office only to be told I will be called back. It has now been over three months and I've yet to hear from them. I'm scheduled with another doctor now.

Dr. Murrell is the best! He is always very prompt, efficient and expects the same thing from his patients. He is an amazing doctor and I felt very comfortable with him performing surgery on me. I had a lot going on and multiple things needed to be done during the procedure. He prepared me so I knew what to expect during recovery. I have no more problems with my sinuses at all… No sinus pressure or pain, I can actually fly on an airplane with a breeze and no pain whatsoever. I honestly cannot be happier with the outcome. I am so glad that I found Dr. Murrell and had the surgery! I have completed all of my follow up appointments and I am 100% satisfied! I would run from this guy, I had him because I had a polyp in my nose that was was blocking air flow through one nostril. My sense of smell and taste were excellent before this guy operated on me. A year after my surgery I had NO taste or smell. He cut a hole in my septum and when I went to get a second opinion from another doctor he was dumbfounded as to what he found. I still had stiches inside my nose that had to be removed over a year later and I had to have revision surgery. Murrell butchered me and I have yet to get any sense of smell back. If you're smart you will not let this guy come anywhere near you!

My husband and I took our then 12 year-old son to get a second opinion from Dr. Murrell regarding his chronic sinusitis. (The first ENT offered no suggestions for his 4-month battle with sinusitis.) Initially, Dr. Murrell was very patient, thorough and detail-oriented. He went over our son’s scans and offered a treatment plan (surgery to clear sinus passages and remove polyps). The morning of the scheduled surgery, Dr. Murrell was very flustered, even angry, because the scans he needed hadn’t been sent to the center. We ended up having to reschedule the surgery a week later. Dr. Murrell performed surgery on our son in June 2020, removing nasal polyps and his adenoids and clearing out his blocked sinus cavities. Post surgery, he told us that things went well, he saw no evidence of fungal rhinitis, and did not need to correct his septum. Fast forward a month and the polyps returned. Dr. Murrell gave a nasal steroid rinse to use twice daily and said it worked in 100% of his patients. With each follow up appointment (and they were weekly for a couple of months), he grew less and less patient with our questions and concerns. He spent about 5 minutes performing a nasal endoscopy every single visit. When I asked about the results of the pathology report from surgery, he snapped at me and said that he didn’t need a pathologist to tell him that he was looking at polyps and fungal rhinitis. He sent nothing off to pathology!! If you recall from the post op conversation, he told us the good news was that he saw no evidence of fungal rhinitis. We spent from June to October seeing Dr. Murrell repeatedly for the same nasal endoscopy and treatment plan to continue the nasal steroid rinses, with no improvement. Finally, in October, he told us he had done all that he could do for our son and we needed to see another professional. Countless office visit copays, meds after meds after meds, repeated nasal endoscopy procedures, and a very painful surgery with NO pain management offered other than Tylenol or ibuprofen...and he washes his hands of the situation. This man is NOT trained for pediatric patients. I’m not even sure he is built to work with any human patient. He is arrogant, snarky, impatient and had 1 small bag of “tricks”. When those don’t work, he sends you off to find help elsewhere. Please save yourself the pain, expense and frustration and cross Dr. George Murrell off your list of options for an ENT!! My son is now facing a second sinus surgery in two weeks with another pediatric specialist who basically has to start from scratch because Dr. Murrell didn’t have a pathology report or surgical notes in my son’s file. ???? At the very first visit, he pinpointed my sinus issues. I had septoplasty, turbinate reduction, FESS: bilateral total ethmoidectomy, and a right concha bullosa resection. Before the surgery, he and his nurse went over all instructions with me. On the day of the surgery, he made sure to greet me and answer any questions I had before I was put under anesthesia. I've had two visits to his office post surgery so that he could check my results, and all is well. To say I am grateful to be breathing much better is an understatement.

He was very dismissive of my questions. I asked him several questions like "why does my ear still hurt?" Or "why is there ringing in my ear and is there anything I can do about it." And his answer to all of these was "I dont know." I realize there isnt much you can do about tinnitus most of the time, but he could have given me a few more details. Just doing some googling I learned a heck of alot more. I learned that tinnitus could in some cases be caused by a tumor, something serious which he did not mention. I got the impression he did not care or that I was wasting his time and he wanted to get me out of there immediately. I do not intend to see him again He was very dismissive of my questions. Plan on over $800 for a first visit.

Excellent care and bedside manner. Outstanding work, professional and compassionate physician. Highly recommend.

Dr. Murrell is honest, professional, and extremely intelligent. He has made me feel comfortable with all of my visits, and I am beyond satisfied with the procedures I've had done. I am so happy that I found him and definitely recommend him!

Dr. Murrell was kind, approachable, down to earth and knowledge. He listened to me and understood my concerns and clearly explained my options. The nurses and office staff were very kind and friendly. It’s refreshing to have such a good experience all around at a doctor’s office.

Dr. Murrell was professional, thorough, personable, and approachable. He took the time to thoroughly explain his recommendations to me, and answered all of my questions in turn. The office staff was wonderful, calling me in for a cancellation as I'd requested when I scheduled my appointment (saving me from taking time off of work). This did result in a longer than usual wait time, but I was not bothered by any means.
