I feel so fortunate to have found Dr. Lyman’s practice. He and Cynthia are warm and welcoming and instantly set my boys (and myself) at ease. I did not feel rushed, both Cynthia and Dr. Lyman took time to build rapport with each of us, and my kids are actually looking forward to their next dental appointment. So so grateful!

Our kids had a good experience at Dr. Lyman's yesterday. Dr. Lyman is very kind & our kids teeth are clean, healthy & beautiful. Receptionist Cynthia is especially warm & was helpful answering our insurance questions.

Dr Lyman is a really great dentist. I love that he has a more conservative approach. My daughters only have great experiences and look forward to their appointments. Highly recommend!

My child has been seeing Dr. Lyman regularly for over 11 years. We really appreciate his gentle approach and calming demeanor. The waiting area has toy and entertainment for smaller children. George Lyman and his front office are amazing in every way! From the nice one welcoming to the end of the visit. He is gentle with his patients and makes each child feel special when they leave. Dr Lyman is the finest pediatric dentist I have ever known, or known of. He is is knowledgeable, friendly, courteous, gentle and kind. He is highly competent, equally adept at diagnosing dental problems as he is at routine exams and cleaning. He runs a covid-safe practice, and appointments usually do not overlap since the pandemic began. He has been providing excellent dental care to our fiesty, squirmy 6 year old son, who thanks Dr Lyman every time for the toy he receives at the end of each exam visit. Excellent visit. Staff is so kind and professional. They take the time to get to know each one of my 5 children. Dr. Lyman is very patient with kids and always takes his time. My children have been seeing Dr. Lyman since they were toddlers. We appreciate him and his excellent care.

Dr. Lyman is very patient with the kids. He knows they have a little attention span so he works fast but is still both thorough and caring. I have been taking my daughter to Dr. Lyman for the past 6 years or so-right as soon as she started getting teeth. When I changed jobs and got new insurance, I was thrilled I was able to continue having her treated by Dr Lyman. The only thing I worry about is when he retires, trying to find another dentist for her. I highly recommend him for any little patient with teeth, he's great. Dr. Lyman is very patient with the kids. Excellent and thoughtful care! I have referred many here, especially those with very young children or children with special needs. Dr. Lyman's calm demeanor and care for his patients is unparallel to anything I have experienced.

My son has a huge fear of examinations. Dr. Lyman is wonderful and keeps him calm.

Dr Lyman is such a sweet man. He’s patient and makes my daughter feel at ease. I would definitely recommend him.

Very warm receptionist and my kids both love Dr. Lyman. The prize cabinet after is the only reason my youngest (age 3) will sit still for her cleaning!

Fantastic atmosphere, wonderfully patient staff. My son is autistic, and this is the only dentist he can tolerate visiting.

A kind dentist to my toddlers. Easy to get an appointment with the receptionist and thoroughness with paperwork.

Our kids have always felt very comfortable with Dr Lyman. They always look forward to getting gum or trinkets from the treasure box after their visit.

Dr. Lyman is so gentle, caring and experienced! He was recommended to us by another dentist who takes his own children to Dr. Lyman.

Dr. Lyman is very patient and professional. He takes time to answer questions or concerns. Office staff is very friendly. We are very happy with the dental care and service that we have received and very much recommend Dr. Lyman.

My child has visited Dr. Lyman's office several times now and has always been seen promptly and left with a smile. Last time he walked to Dr. Lyman office without hesitation and without holding my hand because he felt safe and supported. My questions were answered and my insurance billed without hassle.

I've been taking my son (special needs) to Dr Lyman since he was 3 years old. Dr Lyman is kind, gentle, and he explains everything that's going on with my son's teeth. We are very pleased with Dr Lyman and don't plan on changing dentists anytime soon.

My family loves Dr Lyman. He is very caring & kind with his patients. Our oldest son - who has autism - trusts his explanations that accompany every procedure. My other two kids have enjoyed the prize cabinet & new toothbrush after every visit for 15 years! :)

We love going to Dr Lyman’s office. It is calming and clean and they run efficiently. He is so sweet with all 3 of my children: ages 5, 8, & 11. I appreciate the honest consultation after each visit. Dr. Lyman is super kind and my kids always have a great visit with him.

We love Dr Lyman. He’s great with our kid, who has gotten comfortable quickly with “going to the dentist”.

We love Dr lyman and his staff. We have been going there since my kids were babies and they are 9 and 11 now. We won't go anywhere else! Dr lyman is very patient and always makes the visits like fun when they go. Also listens to the parents and is explains everything! I would highly recommend him to everyone!

We always have a positive experience visiting Dr. Lyman. My son is 3 and Dr. Lyman does a great job walking him through his appointments in a gentle, easy manner. He’s very knowledgeable and full of info for any questions/concerns we’ve brought up.

It is a rarity to receive such a home-feel, warm welcome when going in for a medical check up. Today was my kids' first-ever visit with a dentist. Dr. Lyman is at ease with kids. He has a gentle, approachable and kind nature to him. His expertise in this specialized field of dentistry is immediately evident when he addressed all of the questions my kids asked, as well as when he sat me down to review his findings from my kids' physical examination. He took time to discuss the findings and thoroughly explained his suggested treatment options for my kids, and why. There was a real sense that for our first visit he wanted to establish a positive relationship between our family and him and his practice. He does things old-school, in that he jots his findings via paper and pen, sends out information by snail mail and does not have a fancy video monitor that shows patient's a close up view of their teeth. But I have no doubt my kids received top-notch dental care today.

I took my two children to see Dr. Lyman for the first time and had the best experience. For the first appointment, he makes more time for you to talk about your children's health and answer any questions you have. His office is beautiful with a cabana playhouse and toys for the kids. Dr. Lyman has such a calm, reassuring demeanor - he's the Mr. Rogers of dentistry! You can tell he really enjoys children with all their quirks and personalities. One of my children is generally more anxious about new situations and he shed a few tears, but Dr. Lyman knew exactly how to calm him down and complete the exam. It was awesome to watch. Dr. Lyman met us on a Sunday evening with a dental emergency for our 18 month old son who had fallen and cracked his front tooth. Dr. Lyman was wonderful. He was calm, patient and very thorough during a highly emotional time. Not only was he the only pediatric dentist in Santa Barbara who responded to our weekend emergency, but he was willing to go the extra mile to support us and give us all of the information and options available. We found Dr. Lyman through an online search and our daughter has been seeing him for two years since we moved into the area. He is accessible and very quick to respond for emergencies, and extremely calm, patient, and fun to visit for regular checkups and cleaning.
