George Klafter

Dr. Klafter was the on-call doctor when we called the service for my dad. My dad’s urine was orange and we were told not to worry about it. His cold unfriendly behavior made us not trust him. He showed absolutely no empathy. We therefore took him to ER and he has bile duct blockage, jaundice and liver cancer. It’s been over a week and not one person from the office has followed up with my dad. I wouldn’t wish this service on my worst enemy! Dr. Simon is no better because that’s his primary urologist. They don’t care.

As a physician and his patient, I know a good doctor when I see one. Caring, knowledgeable and a good person.

Dr. Klafter impresses as an old fashioned doc out of a Norman Rockwell scene. In an age where many doctor's visits are limited to system reviews and insurance information, Dr. K. listens in an unhurried manner and responds in an economy of understandable language that evokes confidence and trust.

I have been seeing Dr Klafter for over 10 yrs. he saves a lot of patients and is willing to spend as long as he needs with each one so he runs late. I am always willing to wait. He has never done a procedure on me that didn’t need to be done and at times has waited before doing procedures. He always follows thru and I trust him.

Be very careful with these folks. The doctor owns the surgery center and will do anything to get you under the knife. It took them a month to come back with my results, on top of being billed multiple times and was extremely unprofessional and uncommunicative (my wife was left waiting for hours when a half an hour procedure lasted 2-3 hours for unknown reasons). Further, my results from Sloan Kettering contradicted what little I was told ( that there was blockage and a stent was needed)

This guy is NEVER available to make an appointment with. Although he is nice he looks grumpy and acts grumpy. His professionalism is pretty good although his knowledge of thing came be a question mark.
