Dr. George Martin Cole

Dr. Cole was asked to give a second opinion for a work-related injury. He spent maybe 10 minutes "examining" me. He then outright lied on his report and said he evaluated numerous body parts for range of motion and inspected said areas. He did not inspect anything and did not actually measure range of motion in the few upper body areas. Most of the areas he supposedly assessed were not evaluated. He also decided to give an opinion on two other diagnoses related to my injury, which he was not asked to do, and he did not perform any evaluation for either. His opinion was in direct contradiction of five medical doctors, one doctoral level clinician, and on masters level clinician. Oh, and he really does roll his eyes at people. I should have recorded our visit, but he probably wouldn't have allowed me to had I asked.

On January 24, 2022, I saw Dr. Cole for a disability exam scheduled by the V.A. He said he had read my original medical records and wanted for me to give him a summary to remind him. I told him I hurt my back (pinched nerve while serving onboard a Navy ship in 1989/1990 and I have constant pain for years after, requiring surgery in 2004. I further told him I walk with a constant limp, have occasional sciatic pain flare-ups and can't stand on my toes. During the exam, he was very rude and dismissive of my condition and pain, often rolling his eyes. On the exam report, he wrote, "The veteran limps without objective evidence of causation" and, "The subjective complaint of right leg pain is not verified by objective physical findings." He just assumed I was lying! He also falsified he report by stating I said that I currently take ibuprofen to alleviate my pain. I never told him that! I told him that I was treated for my pain by Navy doctors with ibuprofen when I was first injured in 1989. The entire report was riddled with misdiagnoses and lies such as this huge one: "The original weight-lifting injury resolved and there is no medical evidence that correlates a lumbar sprain with a physical impairment." A few days ago, I was seen by another ortho specialist (who wasn't being paid by the V.A.) who examined me and had x-rays taken. He easily diagnosed me with lumbar degenerative disease, even showing me the affected area on the x-ray. It was also obvious to him that I had significant weakness in the lower legs. Do whatever you can to avoid seeing this doctor. He's an embarrassment!

Dr. Cole was very polite and courteous to me when I came in. Very clean and comfortable office with friendly staff. I will always come back.

Very friendly doctor, great staff, and my appointment was brief, but thorough. Would recommend to friends and family
