I suffer from stage 4 blood cancer and have been in treatment since 2011.I have been treated by doctor T for about two years now and he is very professional and knowledgeable with cancer pain.The staff has always been very kind and caring.I would recommend Arilex Medical to anyone seeking professional care and treatment.

Ok ...I was so scared about leaving my other Dr (after being with him a while ) and going to see Dr T ...changing Dr's is always scary , however it was the VERY BEST decision I have ever made !! Guys when I tell you this Dr .really knows his stuff I mean it !! He is so knowlegable about so many different conditions! I thought it was a loss cause as other Dr's wanted to only treat ONE of several conditions I have at a time, however Dr T is so smart on all of them ! He sat down with me and spoke to me in a manner I could understand and explained in great detail my MRI's as well as a treatment option for them . I walked in scared to death and walked out knowing more about my conditions and how to treat them ! As a middle age women with pelvic issues it's hard to talk to anyone about the issues but Dr T is so easy to talk about any and I mean ANY issues you may be having ! Don't suffer when there is really no reason to ! If ya want your life back , and a Dr that has compassion for his patients and a Dr that is so smart and will truly help you in any issues you may have , call him !!! Extremely disappointing. I was referred to Dr. Theophilis for pelvic nerve pain and was really looking forward to my appointment with him. He provided knowledgeable information on the pelvis and recommended a peripheral nerve block. During our conversation, I asked a valid question- whether or not the block would be image-guided and his reaction was extremely rude and belittling. “Image-guided, really?? You just need to go get treated somewhere else, I’m not going to have someone tell me how to do my job.” The nurse (who was in the room) along with his wife were in shock and apologized to me profusely for the way he acted. The office staff and nurse were extremely kind- I can at least speak highly of them! Arilex pain management acted quickly and responsibly in dealing with a hip injury I got. I would most certainly recommend them for any body that has severe cronic pains.

Dr. G is great and very caring about his patients. He takes the time to hear all of your issues and addresses them accordingly. The staff is great and caring.

Dr T helps me out a lot with my back problem now I’m able to function with all of my daily activities. I’m now able to drive long distances. He was originally with another practice, Ancora. I am so glad he got out of there and made a practice of his own! That place didn’t deserve to be associated with someone as dedicated to patients overall quality of life as Dr.T. Dr. Theofilis completely changed my life. For the last 7 years, I was bounced back and forth between gynecologists and pain managements. I was suffering from debilitating pelvic and back pain, and was being offered no real answers or treatment. From my first visit at Arilex Medical, I knew this would be different. Dr. Theofilis explained my conditions in great detail. I cannot explain the feeling of hearing this wonderful man say that he understood my pain, and how it must be affecting my life! Dr. Theofilis is the best doctor I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. I moved to Georgia over 2 years ago when I first started recovery. I knew I couldn't do it alone and needed professional help so I Googled addiction doctors and his name was at the very top so I called. The doctor himself answered the phone (amazing), he was very kind and worked with me to schedule an appointment that best fit my schedule. I went to my first appointment a few days later and have been seeing him every month since. He treats me like a human being, he doesn't use words I don't understand and if he does he fully explains it to me, and he doesn't treat me like the addict I once was. He is a pain management doctor but he also treats addiction, was an anesthesiologist, and he is very educated in what he does in all aspects. He is a no nonsense type of doctor which is a good thing and he also listens to his patients instead of talking over them. I'd recommend him to anyone for addiction and/or pain management! Dr. Theofilis used to be a great doctor to whom I looked forward to seeing every month for my appointment for my chronic pain conditions. I'm not sure what happened over this past year, but he has been seeing upwards of 90 patients a DAY! One doctor, 90 patients. In ONE day. That is criminal. I have since moved on to a different practice as I feel the quality of care has sharply declined as the level of greed has increased. It's only a matter of time before there is a medical mishap or a forced closure by the medical board and I'd rather not be left having to scramble for a new doctor.

Dr. Gary Theofilis is an outstanding doctor. I was seeing him at another practice before he opened this one and had i known he opened his own practice i would have switced back to him a while ago.This office does not accept insurance..but they will print you off the needed paperwork to mail into your insurance company for re-imbursement..Staff is also very helpful and friendly. Dr. T has been so helpful trying to help me manage my abdominal/pelvic, back and leg nerve pain. I feel like I'm a complicated case having had 5 surgeries in and through my abdomen, and he has always believed he can improve my situation. It's a process, but I can say it is working! I have suffered, as many of you have, incredible back and hip pain. Trying to get out of bed, doing daily activities and just trying to make in from day-to-day is very challenging and disheartening to say the least. How can I even begin to describe in words what this doctor means to my family. Let me start off by saying after 20+ surgeries, 7 gyenecologic, gynecologic oncologists and endometriosis specialists, I was finally referred to Dr. Theofilis. I went into this appointment like I did the many many other appointments I had with the other specialists, I’m going to go in here, they are going to go through all of my records and finally tell me “there’s nothing we can do to help you!” Little did I know this day would be the day that changed my life forever! Dr. Theofilis already had all of my records and had went through every single one of them! When I walked in he started with a very thorough head to toe assessment. Then we sat down and I waited for those words I often heard, instead he not only knew what was going on with all of my vaginal prolapses, but he also picked up on why I was having excruciating pain in my abdomen and my low back!! He has done everything, and I mean everything to get me back to living a normal, pain-free life. I have went from living on a coach daily not able to even walk to the bathroom, to holding a full time job, never missing a day of work, able to keep up with my 10 and 12 year old kids and all of their many sporting events, to traveling the world with my family and not being fearful of the long car rides because of the pain. Dr. Theofilis is a very smart physician that really knows his stuff. I had been in pain for a month and it was increasing very rapidly to the point where I could barely walk. I had been on several medications that were not doing any good. He met me after hours, and after a thorough exam, diagnosed exactly what was going on (which was later confirmed by MRI). He was 100% correct when he told me that any treatment that he would do would not be long term and that I needed to see a neurosurgeon for surgery. Went to this Dr for my neck pains from a injury I sustained due to a motorcycle accident. I explained to him that this pain causes me to have severe headaches and the inability to turn my neck somedays. He refused to look at the scans from my doctor showing the injury he accused me of just wanting pain medicine so I politely got up and went to leave before I could get out the door he threatened to call the cops on me and was trying to take pictures of my tag on my vehicle.

Dr. T is the best at what he does! He relates to you on a personal level and doesn't talk "above your head". He treats me for addiction/recovery and I've never felt more at ease on my road to recovery than I do now with him as my doctor. I would recommend him to anyone!

Dr. T is no doubt good at what he does, but if you are looking for someone who resembles an actual human being, he is not a good choice. His lack of empathy coupled with what must be an ego problem leaves what I considered to be one of the most disrespectful men I have ever come in contact with!

Dr Theofilis is a great pain management doctor taking the time to listen, and you can be honest with him. Wait times are 5-10 mins to see him, and normally waiting room has 1-2 people with plenty of sitting room. Dr. Theofilis will work with you in any way he can, and has personally called me on my cell phone for an update to getting me on a schedule that worked, he went above, and beyond in doing so and made a big impression me. Office is clean, and the bathroom is also clean. If your looking for a good pain management doctor I highly recommend "Dr. T"

Dr. Theofilis is a very professional, compassionate, highly educated physician. He will do everything in his power to find the root cause of your pain. I had had 20+ female surgeries for endometriosis, fibroids, cysts and vaginal prolapse. He figured out what was causing my severe pain, took me from laying on a couch to a life I can now enjoy! I was new to Dawsonville. Coming there with mystery issues basically and Dr. T was compassionate and willing to LISTEN and investigate my issues carefully and came to several conclusions other docs had missed. He has a very pleasant and GENUINE demeanor that allows the patient to feel safe in opening up. I would recommend him to anyone - I have been returning to Georgia to see him specifically even though I have since moved because I have never had a doctor make me feel hope until him. Thanks

Meeting and being treated by Dr. T has been life changing. When I first began to see him I was in so much pain that doing normal things like grocery shopping, walking my dogs and sometimes even walking to the bathroom were impossible. In as little as 2 years I am now able to do normal things but am also able to do extrodinary things my doctors told me would never happen...like having a family, and holding down a job. He is not only a skilled healer who advocates daily for his patients, but he is also compassionate, dedicated and will go above and beyond what normal doctors would do to look out for and help his patients (with whom he considers to be more family than his patients). He takes whatever time necessary to listen, access and help each individual and is always thinking of what he needs to do next, even when his day should be over. Dr Theofilis is the most thorough, caring, ethical, and competent doctor I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. He honestly cares about his patients, treating all with respect and dignity. The staff at Arilex is respectful, experienced, and caring. I am in the healthcare field, and I have seen many physicians not take time with patients and not understand the full picture of each individual. This is not the case at Arilex. Dr Theofilis is an extremely caring and understanding doctor. He goes out of his way to meet his patients needs on a much more personal level than any doctor I have ever been to before. He is very knowledgeable, up to date, honest and personable. I would highly recommend him to anyone I know!

After a year of seeing numerous specialist and being told repeatedly surgery is out of the question, I had no other option but to see a pain specialist. I saw four before finding Dr. Theofilis. He diagnosed me and prescribed a pain medication that does not keep me "high" rather, helps my pain and allows me to continue living a productive life. When first seeing him, I could barely walk in the office and now I live my life, similar to before my pain began. He's been a blessing to me.

My husband & I have both dealt w/ chronic pain & health issues, myself since puberty, & my husband since a debilitating accident in 2001 that lead to his bk amputation 2 yrs ago. That being said, it has always been a ridiculous struggle to find real health CARE. Since beginning to see Dr. T, over 2 yrs ago, we now feel like we have a doc in our corner, someone willing to help us & actually take CARE of us. He's what docs used to be, he is the best doc we've had in our lives. So grateful for him!

Excellent provider experience. Dr. T deliberately runs a small and personalized practice so that the patient receives proper care. I was experiencing non pain related discomfort from a recent surgery late into the night on Dec 23. My surgeon’s office was closed, however, Dr. T was able to get me some relief and “saved Christmas”. I imagine this is how doctors treated patients 50 years ago...where you feel “cared for” and not just rushed through the office visit!

If you want a doctor who is unprofessional, unethical, immature, and not board certified in pain management- he's the doctor for you. I would not recommend him to any friends or family after seeing how he practices.

Not impressed

I seen Dr Theofilis at the John's Creek location for 1 year (2016-2017). Since 1998 I suffered from well documented medical conditions such as severe peripheral motor and sensory neuropathy, back and neck problems. Dr Theofilis is the ONLY doctor who has brought my pain to a tolerable level. He is the most caring and understanding doctor I have ever personally known !!! He cares about the whole you and his knowledge and expertise go far beyond just pain management. I VERY HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM

I've never had a doctor so committed to trying to locate the source of my round-the-clock pelvic pain. We have been trying various routes, and while I still don't have answers for what's causing me problems, I at least have a doctor who's with me trying to find answers as well. I'm very thankful for him.

I was recommended to Dr. Theofilis for pain management. I have a very rare genetic condition that affects one of every 5,000 people - causing issues with the dura, the lining of the spinal cord. Dr. T spent the time to understand my situation and really listened to me and my situation. He immediately understood the reason for my pain, as one of two receptors was not covered under the current cocktail of medications I was taking. He suggested a new protocol and I immediately felt relief.

I love Dr. Theoflis for he really cares about how you are feeling and genuinely does his best to try and resolve your issues rather than just handing out scripts. I have only been under his care for a little over a year after moving back to GA to take care of aging parents but in this short period of time he has helped me more than the doctors I had in AL that had been treating me for 10 yrs. I highly recommend him. He has a great bedside manner and very professional.

I am so blessed to have finally found Dr. Theofilis. Dr. T truly cares about his patients and he is the only doctor that has helped relieve my chronic pain. Dr. T has performed 2 Radio Frequency Ablations in my low back and neck providing me with greater than 65% pain relief.

Dr. Theofilis treats me for my chronic neuropathic pain caused by Dysautonomia. I have always had severe pain, and Dr. theofilis is amazing at helping with pain.

Dr. Theofilis helped me tremendously with female problems that had been chronic pain issues for me for years. I have multiple medical conditions that cause me to have chronic pain. After being referred to Dr. T he was able to identify the cause of my pain and successfully treat my ailments. Dr. Theofilis is one of two doctors in the US, I believe, that can help manage chronic pelvic pain and chronic pain from transvaginal mesh. He listens to everything I have to say and has helped me better manage my pain. He is completely honest with you and works to help find a solution to your chronic pain. He does not over prescribe narcotics--which is good because they scare me! His procedure center is next door so you don't have to go to a different location to get procedures

I have been with Dr. T for a little over 2 years and I have to say he is a great Doctor , he is easy to talk to and makes sure that he takes care of you .. He is best doctor I have. I have Crohns Deisase , IBS and 2 Renal Stints I have had crohns and IBS for 8 years which is very painful and my GI has done everything he can do so I have had no life until Dr. T started doing nerve blocks for my crohns and Renal Stints and it has done so much for me the pain is now barely there and I feel better.

I was devasted when my previous Pain Management Dr merged w another practice and didn't accept my insurance any longer.She had given me parts of my life back through medicine,trigger point injections&dry needling. I was referred to several Dr's who would not even see me but I kept on researching. I am SO glad to have found Dr. Gary Theofilis. He spends time with me & has already made a huge impact on my life in less than 1 month! I just had a dx nerve block. I am SO thankful for him & his staff!

Dr. Gary g theofilis, He is a very naulagable Dr and listens to understand his patients.i have been very pleased with my experience with Dr theofilis and his staff.i would highly recommend him to many of family and friends.

DR Theofilis is a wonderful doctor, since being in his care I have started to have a life again. With the work of medicine and his expertise I am now about to start walking with out a cane. If you want a doctor that is smart, understands the human body then he is your guy. Some doctor's dope you up so much you can't feel the pain but DR. T actually fixes the problem so you can live again.

Dr. Theofilis is the most compassionate and knowledgeable doctor I have found. He cares about his patients and will fight for them harder than any other medical professional I have ever used! I have a rare connective tissue disorder and he was the 1st doctor EVER, I did NOT have to explain my condition too. Dr. T has fought to find me the best treatment and doctors around for all needs. Yes, the paperwork seems massive, every bit of it is necessary to correctly treat you. I will NEVER leave!!!

I was able to get scheduled for my first visit in less than 4 days with Dr. Theofilis. He was extremely informative, explained all of my options, and sent me to a specialist for additional options. I called the office he recommended, I was told I could only see the PA. Dr. T got involved and the other doctor saw me the next day! This is the first time in more than two years my pain has been under control.

Dr. T is the only Physician I could find that treated my pelvic pain. I travel 5hrs from S. Carolina every month. He has treated me with a combination of medication and pudendal nerve blocks.

Has no compassion for patients in pain, his poor listening skills and is not a nice or professional care provider. The amount of paperwork required to have an initial consultation is oppressive to someone suffering from painful conditions. Asked if the paperwork could be filled in with the assistance of a nurse or this doctor, but was denied any kind of help.

Dr. Theofilis has been fantastic. He is very knowledgeable and listens to my concerns and provides me with options to consider rather than trying to force me into a single solution (other doctors have tried). I never have to wait long once I arrive and he will spend as much time as needed to answer all my questions.

I would not recommend this clinic unless your pain can be alleviated with lidocaine injections. If they do not work, then Dr. Theofilis won't continue to see you anyway. Staff is very unhelpful and trying to get your medical records is next to impossible.
