I chose this practice due to Dr Pearce solo and his practice is small and I felt I would get a true eye exam, since I was asking for a 2nd opinion for my glaucoma. I'm not a number at Lake Placid Eye Clinic as I have felt at other big clinics in the past. Dr Pearce took time to explain my glaucoma to me, answer all the questions that my wife and I had. Spent a extreme amount of time with us after the testing was completed. Super clean office, knowledgeable staff. Robert S Sebring

He is pleasant and very professional. He explains everything before doing anything. His office staff is wonderful to work with. Always accommodating and no long wait for appointments.

NEW TO HIGHLANDS COUNTY I FEEL FORTUNATE TO HAVE FOUND DR PEARCE IN THE LOCAL COFFEE NEWS AD. NERVOUS AFTER LOOSING MY OPTHALMOLOGIST IN PENNSYLVANIA I CALLED THE OFFICE WITH LOTS OF QUESTIONS. THE SECRETARY SUGGESTED I SPEAK TO THE TECH ANITA, ANITA WAS HELPFUL AND I FELT COMFORTABLE SCHEDULING MY VISIT. THE OFFICE IS EXTREMELY CLEAN, FRIENDLY AND RELAXING. MET THE STAFF, DUE TO FAMILY HISTORY OF GLAUCOMA THE DOCTOR SUGGESTED I HAVE A TEST. ANITA DID THE TEST AND DR PEARCE DISCOVERED THAT I NEEDED A LASER TREATMENT FOR GLAUCOMA. I RETURNED FOR THE TREATMENT, I CAN NOT BE HAPPIER TO HAVE FOUND SUCH A CARING DOCTOR AND STAFF. SO GLAD I READ THE AD IN THE COFFEE NEWS. I SUGGEST ANYONE WITH A EYE PROBLEM TRY LAKE PLACID EYE CLINIC FIRST.

Back in February 2020, I had cataract surgery, I moved back to Lake Placid and I saw Dr. Pearce. I was having alot of issues with my vision, had to start wearing my glasses more and more, He saw that I needed a YAG (a laser to remove scar tissue). I had my left eye done that day and by the evening I was back to where I was after cataract surgery, I could see clearly, a week later he done my right eye. I'm back to not needing my glasses, if i'm doing alot of reading I do wear readers. Dr. Pearce is a very caring doctor.

hi i recently moved from west palm beach fl and i had problems with my eyes so i have to move to venus florida to find a great eye doctor the staff as well as the doctor is exceptionally great i cannot wait to get my sun glasses my glasses are great all great so far thank you maureen kelly

My experience with Dr Pearce went very well. My Aunt is hard to warm up to individuals. But Dr Pearse well she just loves him.

This practice is the best. Dr. G. Pearse combines expertise and a willingness to listen and discuss. He also an excellent surgeon. Also, the staff is very friendly and professional. I’ve never had to wait more than a few minutes when I arrive on time for an appointment.

I was so happy I chose Lake Placid Eye Clinic and Dr Pearce for my eye doctor. The receptionist Darlene and her assistant were super friendly and helpful. Darlene made me feel at home and answered all my questions. Dr Pearce is fortunate to have her on his team. I was very impressed with Dr Pearce very thorough eye exam. He definitely makes sure you are receiving the most accurate exam. There is a large difference from receiving an eye exam from a certified physician and surgeon like Dr Pearce compared to the discounted eye centers. You will be so pleased with his optical service and very fairly priced eye care. Dr Pearce even took his time to help assist me when I stopped back in when I was unsure how to order my contacts online. I highly recommend the Lake Placid Eye Clinic, you are not treated like just a number and rushed in and out. They are the best, a truly awesome team.

My brother and I recently moved to Lake Placid and are delighted to have found Lake Placid Eye Clinic for our optical needs. The receptionist Darlene helped us get scheduled and was very friendly throughout our visit. I was very impressed with Dr Pearce who informed me during my visit that I had scar tissue from cataract surgery years ago from a different optical center in Michigan. He was the first eye doctor since my cataract surgery to catch this. He explained what was involved in having laser eye treatment and I felt confident with his expertise to go ahead with the procedure. He was able to accommodate me the same day. The quick, painless procedure was over in minutes and I am grateful to him for noticing the problem. I recommend Dr Pearce and his fine, friendly, competent staff for all of your optical needs.

Very dishonest and rude!! I was charged $258 up front. I have insurance and should only have to pay $30. When I inquired about the high charge before even seeing the Dr, I was told they called the insurance company that is the amount my insurance specified that I owe. I immediately went outside and called my insurance. They had no record of any call, and they confirmed that I should only pay the co-pay and the additional amount if a procedure is done. So, the office clerk lied!! The office had not contacted my insurance. I went back inside and told them that I spoke to my insurance and they have no record of a call from the Dr's office and that I should only pay a co-pay. I was told that if I want to be seen that I have to pay $258. When I asked to speak to the office manager, I was given a refund and told to have a nice day. Shame on Dr Pearce's office! If I could give this business less than 1 star I would without hesitation. Taking advantage of someone is unacceptable. Charging someone $60.00 to pick up a prescription paper of what their eye prescription is unacceptable. You took advantage of someone. As a medical provider you should be ashamed of yourselves. You had someone in your office today that paid literally in loose change for a piece of paper with their eye prescription written down on it and they should have received this yesterday when she was in your office for a new patient appointment. This year has been challenging in so many ways especially financially, how dare you take advantage of someone and watch them pay for a piece of paper of their eye prescription in loose change. I am appalled a professional eye providers office would do something like this. When do you ever go to a medical providers office and leave without a prescription that they have diagnosed you with only to go back the next day and be charged $60.00 to pick up the prescription paper. Nice office, and they take all necessary steps to protect you from COVID. The staff--every last one of them--is caring and experienced. Dr. Pearce is an amazing doctor who goes the extra mile to give his patients the care they need. Highly recommended!

I was very impressedwith my first visit to Dr. Pearce. The practice is small and professional in every thing they do. Before moving here I went to a big chain eye doctor where there might be 20-25 patients waiting in the office. It was a real pleasure to find this small old fashioned practice.

Stop in to see what glasses they had meet the doctor for a new prescription and his staff was super friendly doctor ended up getting me the right prescription for my glasses which my other glasses caused me to have bad headache this is the place to go great doctor great staff

Absolutely loved the doctor and staff ! Dr. Pearce is kind , soft spoken and a master at allaying any fears or doubts his patients might have. Lake Placid is truly blessed to have such a superb and knowledgeable 0pthamologist located in their small town .I did not expect to find such top notch eye care here and had made up my mind I would have to go to a much larger city for my eye surgery. My , my ,was I wrong ! I will not even toy with the notion of going elsewhere for my eye care needs . The staff is so kind and caring and they are a pleasure to work with ,I even brought my husband in a week later and he actually stated he had quite an enjoyable experience ,and for him ,that's a huge compliment. Great staff and Doctor. So many frames to choose from, they have tons of designer eyewear and prescription sunglasses!

Dr. Pearce is extremely congenial and a consummate professional. This was my first visit and he was treating me for a problem that my previous Ophthalmologist was unable to resolve. Within a short time Dr. Pearce was able to thoroughly evaluate my condition, prescribe the correct medications and resolve a long standing issue with my insurance company. He never made me feel rushed and went out of his way to make sure I got the care I needed. I am a Snow Bird and only come to FL in the winters. But form now on Dr. Pearce will be doing my annual eye exams. Furthermore, his office staff are just as caring and exceptional. Five Stars Plus!

Dr. Pearce has been my Opthamologist for 35 years! He saved my son's eyesight from an industrial accident 20+ years ago, coming in on a weekend to operate and calling me while I was racing in Wisconsin to tell me. Dr. Pearce also saved my brothers eye several years later when he removed a concrete nail from brothers eye. Both times were on his day off. Dr Pearce, and Donna have been excellent caregivers to me, my family, and friends. I am proud to call him a friend also.
