Doctor Foster was excellent! He answered my questions, made me feel comfortable for the LASIK procedure, and did an excellent job on the surgery. I would highly recommend him!

My experience was brief, but great! And my vision is perfect!

We met virtually to address questions and confirm the procedure. The day of the procedure was exactly as described. But when there was some trouble with the chosen method, he made a decision to change tactics in order to give me the best results possible with the least danger to my eye. He was very knowledgeable.

Everyone with Eye Center of Northern Colorado, from Brinette and Karen to Chris to Dr. Foster and everyone else through the process made this a very positive experience. Everyone was quick to answer any questions and the SMILE procedure was alot more welcoming and faster than I had imagined. I am amazed at how well the procedure worked and still can’t believe I can see without glasses. I wish I had done this sooner. Highly recommend and very grateful for the care provided. Truly lifechanging!

It was great! He was able to answer any of my concerns and inquiries as well as provide detailed explanations throughout the entire process! The staff is amazing as well! They’re all extremely friendly and knowledgeable, able to answer any of my questions while simultaneously providing a fun and caring atmosphere making this one of my favorite places to go!

I was so incredibly happy with my 1st cataract surgery in January this year and my new PanOptix lens that I could not wait for my second eye to be ready for surgery! Immediately after the 1st surgery, my sight improved so much that I felt like I had "superwoman" eyes. Everything seemed brighter and clearer and I could see to the farthest mountaintop and read up close like I haven't done in years. I can already skip my reading glasses except for the most concentrated level of screen time. I am scheduled for my second surgery in about a week. My guess is that those glasses will be a thing of the past. I cannot speak highly enough of Dr. Foster and all the medical and reception staff at the Eye Center of Northern Colorado. Without exception, they have all been professional, kind and thorough in their dealings with me. The surgery itself was a breeze! Recovery quick and easy. Dr. Foster did not explain how horribly bad my near vision would become after my cataract surgery. He offered to also correct my near vision, but told me it would not be permanent fix, so I declined to add to an already expensive procedure. My cataracts were small, and though I understand they will grow and make my far vision worse, I was shocked by how bad my near vision became post surgery...way worse than my far vision was pre-surgery. Also he gave me a price for the laser surgery that was $99 less each eye than the actual cost. Lastly, I am a retired professional. He ended our 15 consultation saying, "Don't worry, I'll take good care of you" in a very patronizing tone. I'm not surprised another patient noted he is not available post surgery. If you didn't realize it before, the day of your surgery you soon see what a $$ surgery mill operation it is.

I had high hopes in Dr. Foster after reading his reviews. I went through the testing and intake process involving several eye scans, and was scheduled for lasik. I took the time off of work and used these expensive eye drops for 2 weeks. The day before my surgery, I received a phone call late in the day to tell me that Dr. Foster was canceling my surgery and to come back in 6 months to a year. When I asked why, the receptionist nor the nurse had answers for me. I came back 6 months later and went through the same process. Was told that Dr. Foster reviewed the scans and was comfortable doing my surgery. It should be noted I have never seen Dr. Foster in person, but 2 other doctors. We schedule it, I take the time off, its postponed to the next day due to a machine malfunction and then 18 hrs before surgery canceled with no reason why. So Now I have lost 3 days of pay, paid for 2 eyedrop prescriptions and no lasik and litterally no explaination why. I had high hopes in Dr. Foster after reading his reviews. Sounds like a trend here, Day-before cancellation for surgery, never been able to meet Foster but went through 4 pre-op appointments, 8 weeks out of contacts, took time off work, purchased medication, and payed for the procedure already. Heard the afternoon beforehand that they are cancelling my appointment. Had to find out from the Centerra reception office who heard from Foster's reception office. No rationale provided, no call, and after the doctor had ostensibly already reviewed the scans. Told to possibly wait 8 months to "stabilize", not sure in or out of contacts, because after all that, I still haven't been able to even meet or talk to Dr. Foster. Still no guarantee there wouldn't be another last-minute cancellation. Edit: Went in to my original appointment time to catch him and was able to sneak in a meeting. While still frustrating that he gave different results from the same chart, it was helpful to actually get answers directly. He referred me to other surgeons. Have diabetes so need to get my eyes checked they are a very professional place all covid regs in place you get in and out

I had both eyes done this fall. The first eye surgery went great. Then I had the second eye surgery which did not go so well for me. Not a good experience!!

I recently had LASIK surgery by Dr. Foster. I could not be happier with the results and can not speak highly enough about Dr. Foster and the rest of the staff. The preliminary appointments were all very simple and everyone I dealt with treated me with courtesy and respect. The day of the procedure I was nervous but Dr. Foster and the staff in the center took care of that. They really helped me relax during the surgery and I could not believe the results. I did research a bunch of Dr.s for LASIK and am extremely happy that I chose Dr. Foster. I recently had LASIK surgery by Dr. Foster. I have been seeing Doctor Foster for many years, one of the most competent MDs I have seen, and he's also very good in working with you. Recently I had cataract surgery (Dr Foster is a leading surgeon in this area, participating in medical trials with new technologies and procedures), and I spent quite a bit of time with Dr Foster discussing all of the various options and technologies (it's amazing what is happening in this area). He was extremely patient with all of my questions, and we spent time working on a solution for me that I am EXTREMELY happy with! If you go to his web page (just google "gary foster md"), you will also be astonished to see what he has done to help prospective patients. He has an AMAZING number of exceptional articles on many areas related to eye surgeries, but what is simply astounding is he answers questions from people and it's all available for anyone to peruse/search. He really cares greatly about what he is doing, and it shows in how he helps people by answering their questions. He's top notch in my book! **My husband had cataract surg by Dr. Foster 2013 and has truly enjoyed the outcome of his vision and amazed at what he can now see !! **My dad had cataract surg by Dr. Foster 2014 and loved the wonderful care and treatment that he received from the staff not to mention the great vision he has now **I myself had eye surg by Dr.Foster in 2015 he did Lasik and the Kamra Inlay on my left eye and I am incredibly ecstatic, amazed and very impressed with what I can see now!!! I recently had LASIK surgery done by Dr. Foster. The entire experience could not have been easier. Dr. Foster and his staff are friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, and courteous. I know several people who have had their LASIK done by him, and all are happy. My eyesight is now better than 20/20, and it's thanks to Dr. Foster and his amazing staff! Dr Foster is an excellent surgeon but if you have problems or need follow-up after the initial surgery, Dr. Foster is not available and you must see another doctor with a six to eight week lead time.
