Dr. Dawson is incredibly kind and the best that medicine has to offer. While it can be a bit of a hurdle to get to see him once you do the care is incomparable. He’s willing to think outside the box when the need arises and doesn’t depend on pain medication but will use it when appropriate.

I'm so excited I've found a Treatment Facility in Columbus, Ga. that I wasn't aware of named River City Rehabilitation and Spine Specialist with an Outstanding Pain Management Doctor such as Doctor Gary Dawson. Dr. Dawson is one of a kind. He is so gentle, kind, and caring. I find him VERY through. He isn't one to push Pain pills unless he finds the cause of the pain first. I had Lower Lumbar Injections by him and I'm sorry to say I wish I had known about Dr. Dawson before I struggled along with other doctors in the area. I would definitely recommend him. I have been a patient of Dr Dawson and his staff for over a year. They have treated me very well and helped me with my back problems. I highly recommend Dr. Dawson and I will be seeing him in the future.

I have been a patient of Dr. Dawson's for over 8 years. His staff and Dr. Dawson have always been attentive to my needs and health conditions. Dr. Dawson has always went above and beyond to ensure he provides me with the best appropriate care based on the severity of my flare ups and he listens.

Dr. Dawson has been a God send to my family! He is humble and kind. He actually listens to his patients. He does not to try to talk above or below you but at a level you can understand. He always explains himself and is very thorough in his evaluations. We appreciate him and his diligence in helping our daughter.

Had my records sent over, appointment was scheduled. Received a phone call a couple days later saying oh I'm sorry the other young lady didn't know we do not accept your insurance. However, Dr. Gary Dawson is listed as being in network with my insurance! I mean at least call the insurance company so that patient's don't waste their time doing all this work only to find out the office isn't doing what they are supposed to do with keeping insurance companies updated! I have NEVER! I just moved to Georgia. I am a cancer patient with other health problems that results in constant pain. I have been waiting for someone to call me from this office for A Month. I checked with my Primary that said they have my referral (even though with my insurance, I do not need a referral) I finally had to call them. I've been to too many doctors, due to my illness and I've never been spoken to like I just was. I will NEVER go to this doctor because the office personnel is Rude, Insulting, and Unintelligent. Outstanding physician and staff personnel. Practices with true compassion and understanding for those with chronic pain syndrome. Love their patient portal, as it lists a complete history and is excellent for communication on the weekends. Highly recommend his practice.

Emily, the receptionist at Dr.Dawson’s office has the absolute WORST customer service I have ever seen!! She never greeted us, was very unfriendly and deliberately waited until my family member (who could barely walk) sat down in the lobby and then called them to immediately come right back to the desk to sign paperwork. She laughed and seemed to get enjoyment in my family members pain instead of trying to help and accommodate my family member’s difficulty walking and standing . I Had Sciatica and was bent over on a walker at 43 years old. Dr. Paul from Houghton clinic referred me to Dr. Dawson after 4 epidural injection that gave no relief. After 2 treatments from Dr. Dawson, I was walking upright and off the walker. I still have to get treatment from him because of Arthritis is realy bad. I would love to share a review on Dr. Dawson; however, I could not get past his office staff to set up an appointment. I was given a referral from my primary care physician three weeks ago and my orthopedic surgeon two weeks ago. Never heard back from Dr. Dawson's office. I called and was told they did not receive any referrals on my behalf. I know that is inaccurate as I checked with my primary care physician's office, and they confirmed they had sent it. Dr. Dawson needs to terminate his office staff and hire someone who cares, needs a job, and is efficient. Anyone who has experienced chronic pain ,nerve damage and arthritis knows that it changes your life.Since seeing Dr Dawson and PA Kayla and PA Fallon my life has changed for the better. Somethings do not happen overnight but they work to find a solution to the cause of the pain and give hope .This group of medical professionals are happy and positive .They really care about all of their patients and It is worth the drive.There are more and more options developed every year and they are up to date on all. Lovely Dr. Listens well and provided PRP to a hip that had been painful for over 10 years. All his staff are quite wonderful as well.

Dr. Dawson was very knowledgeable in treating my condition. My recommended treatment is working to improve my pain. I would definitely recommend him to family and friends.

My appointment time with Dr. Dawson was within 15 minutes of arrival. He took time to listen to me about my complaint. Offered solutions and options to help with the pain. Extremely knowledgeable about the medications and drugs that would help me. I'm able to send email when I have questions or concerns. My husband has been in Dr. Dawson's care, and he was able to alleviate his back pain completely!

It took 2 months to get an appointment. Then it took another month to get my next appointment for the procedure. After waiting 3 months in pain the day of my pre op I’m told I need to pay hundreds of dollars and that I was out of network but previously at my first appointment I was told I was in network. Went to Dr Dawson on the 23rd of October for neck & back pain. Took me five different times calling to his office to get rx for the therapy. Once rx was faxed over was only for my neck. Had the therapist who treated for my neck to call and try and get rx for back. No results from getting rx for back. After my 4th call to the office rx was faxed over to me. I have asked for them to have Dr Dawson call me so I can tell him what is going on in his office. As of today no call from him. Trying to get rx's or anything from his staff is TERRIBLE!!!! Pain Dr for my wife for many years; caring and concerned always. Can’t say enough good things about Dr Dawson as a doctor and a person.

Been a patient there for nearly 3 years until today when doors were locked when I came for My monthly medications appointment and I was turned away cause I didn’t have a mask that they made mandatory to be in the building but didn’t have any on hand for those who didn’t have one so they kept me locked out of the building. Dr. Dawson is a great doctor but the staff and way they treat their patients is terrible not to mention the high turn over which is why I’ve had more than 4 nurses aids and only get to see Dr. Dawson once a year if I was lucky. If you can go elsewhere I would recommend it.

Dr. Dawson has treated my wife for some time. She lives with chronic pain. On October 1, 2019, she went to see the doctor. Shots in the knees were recommended to her for her knee pain. She asked about the cost, and was told. She said she would have to get back when we had the funds. Today, October 17, 2019, she called to schedule appointment for the shots. She was informed that she would first have to come in for another office visit in order to schedule the appointment for the shots! That is wrong! Since was there two weeks ago! Since moving to Columbus 20 years ago, I have realize that the “office visit” is what is most important to most of the doctors. Just another way to pad the bottom line.

Customer service was HORRIBLE. Received rude discourteous behavior from the receptionist Monica and the medical assistant Shunn. Gail Fufong worst office manager; fail to respond to my queries; never show when I requested to speak with her twice. They made me wait a long time, lied about someone coming to help me, and used excuses of to why I didn't get seen; and they were able to see another patient with the same dilemma. They are clueless of how to treat a customer. They need training and development. Dr. Dawson needs to hire the right people to represent him. If you don't have a friendly, helpful, problem solver staff, that diminishes the actual service. Worst experience ever!

Doctors and employees are the best in Columbus. I highly recommend Dr. Dawson.

I am his patient for more than 5 years. If you need help for chronic pain, there is no better doctor in 100 miles radius.

From day One, every single visit has been consistent, very scheduled, timely and organized. The staff, Dr. and PAs take time to hear your needs and are very caring. I absolutely LOVE them, its a great peace of mind to keep your health moved in a positive direction.

Dr. Dawson and his staff is wonderful. I also see his PA Mrs. Fallon Lotson. She is amazing, she really listen to your concerns. I have NEVER waited longer 20 mins to be seen. I've been seeing them going on 4 yrs. My name is Priscilla Miles

My mom was referred by her doctor. Her appointment was rescheduled three times before she could even get in to see the doctor. When she finally did make her appoint she was told that she had to reschedule her appointment because it was 15 minutes after her appointment time and she didn't finish her paperwork in time. I have never heard of such a thing. I took off of work to bring her to her appointment. My time is just as valuable as theirs. I would not recommend this place.

SEEK Medical Attention Elsewhere. An hour after my appointment time, I finally got to an exam room. I was supposed to Ae Dr. Dawson but ended up with his PA because he was backed up with patients. The PA, had to leave several times during the exam to go ask Dr. Dawson questions. After the 4th time, I was then removed from the exam room to make room for another patient. A month later, I suffered an injury to my back and called his office Monday morning. Wednesday came and still no call back. I called their office and was once again told they would call back. Friday morning I walked into their office and asked to be released as a patient. I then went to the ER and gotten X-rays. I had a compression fracture in my L4. Dr will give you shots as often as insurance allows but...when they dont work, refuses to manage chronic pain. PAs, good ones, dont stay long. Luck of the draw who you'll get as you only see dr for injections. Latest PA was very demeaning, unprofessional, makes you feel bad for being in pain. Drug tests for alcohol.

Dr Dawson is everything you would hope to find in a physician. The PA's and other doctor's appear to be equally focused on the proper care and needs of each patient. While the entire practice has been spectacular, a devastating problem currently exist with the quality and dedication to care of the nursing staff. It's rather mindboggling when a care plan is made yet the nursing expresses they will not support your plan - implication, it is too much work!! Destructive Nursing Staff!!

The only thing I did not like was reading the statements that was made about my visit. There were things said that was not discussed with me at all that had been written saying it was discussed with me on the day of my visit. Why would a Doctor and PA write that they went over certain things and in fact they did not even discuss it with you. This has happened twice.

Berry good Dr explains everything to u what he will do to help u get through it.I was treated for a high fall onto a conveyor belt.He is a great doctor and the staff treats you as a person not a number.
