Dr. Gary Randall Culbertson

Dr. Culbertson performed a sebaceous cyst removal in 2020 after I returned home from Afghanistan. He seem cool at first but then started to get rude with me when I would ask questions. I'm not a doctor. So I don't think it's too much to ask questions to get a better understanding of the situation. I had concerns about the surgery. Whenever I tried to voice those concerns, he kept cutting me off and wouldn't allow me to finish. He also rushed the surgery. The cyst was in the back of my head so I couldn't see anything during the surgery. He claims the cyst was attached to a blood vessel which is what caused the massive bleeding once he removed it. I believe that to be a lie. I believe he was rushing and cut the vessel. I bled a lot!! Blood was spewing out of the back of my head and it ran down my back, shoulders, arms, and spilled all over the floor. His assistant had to get a big towel to wipe it off the floor. Dr. Culbertson panicked and was barking orders at his assistant who grew frustrated with him because he wasn't being very clear. All I could think in that moment was "Figure it out because I'm still bleeding over here." He finally used a tool to cauterize the wound to stop the bleeding and he stitched me up. He freaked out and stated that he couldn't remove the other two cysts because he didn't want this to happen again. He said he didn't have to proper tools to perform this surgery. He wanted to refer me to another doctor (his friend) at a real hospital that would have the proper tools. At this point I didn't trust him anymore and declined. Why would I trust your judgement to see your friend when I can't even trust you?! He never once apologized. His assistant apologized and she was concerned. I appreciate her. I already had PTSD from what I've experienced in Afghanistan, this definitely did not help. I'm sure someone from the clinic will try to blast me or discredit me based on the other negative reviews that I read but I have proof so say whatever you want.

During the consultation everything was thoroughly explained, and all my questions were answered. He didn’t rush the process he advised me to take some time and talk it over with your spouse. I’m 3 weeks Post-Op and I’m LOVING myself! Dr. Culbertson did an amazing job. My recovery was easy and quick but overall I love my new self.

The male front desk receptionist is extremely rude. He has no tact, doesn’t seem to be knowledgeable in what is going on, and has a very unbecoming attitude. Not the face I would want greeting patients - puts off a very bad first impression.

I don't think this doctor is educated on removing dermals. He said he would have to give me a big cut from piercing to piercing to remove it and I had to wait 30 to 60 days for the insurance company. So I went to a piercing shop and they were able to remove it with little to no scar. His service isn't much inviting either. I wouldn't recommend this place. This Dr did a breast reduction on me in 2005 and ruined my breast for life. I contracted a staph infection while in surgery and my breast were busting open and turning green. I had to go to a general surgeon to have them debrised and it took over a year and a half to heal. My scars are awful. I went to him 3 weeks after surgery and he did nothing not even an antibiotic. I tried to call him and his staff told me he wouldnt talk to me because I owed him $380. Well he owes me a new set of breast. My life will never be the same. I'm now having to go through lumps in my breast fearing the worst CANCER but pretty sure its scar tissue from the disaster her created. I wouldnt let him operate on my dogs tie. Dr. Culbertson is a great physician! I had a breast reduction at the age of 60. I was a bit concerned about complications due to my age, but by following Dr. Culbertson’s instructions, I had no problems. From the anesthesiologist to the receptionist, his staff was very helpful and friendly. The morning of my surgery, they calmed my anxiety and my family members felt welcomed. My followup appointments were very thorough with little to no wait time. I love the fact that this doctor is direct and to the point. Dr. Culbertson came highly recommended by my OBGYN and I can see why! I would recommend him to anyone and my only regret is, I wish I’d had this done sooner! I feel wonderful!! Dr Culbertson removed a skin lesion that turned out to be a squamous cell carcinoma. I returned for further excision of the skin around the lesion; he was able to remove all traces of the skin cancer and the repaired skin looks great. I am very pleased with the time he spent with me, care during and post surgery and instructions for followup. Highly recommend Dr. Culbertson!

Absolutely the best experience I could have ever dreamed of. The staff meets beyond expectations. They are courteous and funny which makes things so much easier and enjoyable. Dr. Culbertson is by far the greatest. His knowledge and understanding of each patient’s body/wants/needs to give them the outcome they want is mind-blowing. I THOUGHT I knew what I wanted when I first had my consult because I was fed up and tired, but after multiple informed talks with him, we came to a mutual agreement. THANK THE LORD I didn’t pursue what I, rashly, wanted originally. I got the outcome I invisioned and now I can feel comfortable in my own skin. He is, hands down, an artist when it comes to reconstructive surgery. I’ve never felt this great about myself and it’s all thanks to him and his team. Dr. Gary Culberson is a very wonderful successful experienced doctor, he's very knowledgeable of what he is doing and totally aware of what is needed by just looking at you. When he tells you to follow rules with any surgeries, believe me, follow everything and you will be fine. Dr. Culberson helped me get back to me and I'm loving the outcome. This doctor by far is one of the best I've ever had, his staff is very friendly, they kept me comfortable during my stay and helped with everyone of my needs. Recently saw Dr. Culbertson for some skin cancers on my chest, arms, neck and legs. He did biopsies and found they were basal cell carcinoma which can turn into a more serious cancer if left untreated. He took care of most of them in his office, but one on my chest and one on my right shin had to be scheduled for surgery. They were the type that would go away but come back even worse and deeper. He did the surgery and had to do a skin graft on my shin using skin from my hip. He did an excellent job!!! Removed all of the cancer!!! All I can really say is: Thank you Jesus Christ and thank you Jesus for Dr. Culbertson!!! Not only is he an excellent doctor, but he an excellent plastic surgeon. He knows how to do the surgery leaving the surgery site almost invisible when it heals. He has a wonderful bedside manner that is straight to the point and very informative. I like that about him. After you get to talking with him, you realize that not only is he very knowledgeable, he is also cordial and someone you enjoy relating to. The male that was the front desk is very rude and messes up scheduling just about every time then blames it on you. The doctor is barely in the room. 3/2017 Dear Dr. Culbertson, I have had the privilege of visiting and being your patient on three different occasions over the past 12 years. Even moving 3 hours away --- I never considered anyone but you. The chin/cheek/CO2 Laser procedure you completed on me has already lifted my spirits. I feel as an older woman it is essential to do all we can to care for ourselves and for me that includes a bit of cosmetic surgery ever few years. On each visit to your office ----no matter the questions; you are always content to answer. Your expertise is comforting and your kindness and concerning nature incredible. During the decision making appointment; you give recommendations that are factually sound which has helped to ensure I make the best decisions that will offer the maximum benefits. You go beyond to explain and make sure I know what to expect as well as how to keep the treated areas clean….. “The Solution to Pollution is Dilution”.
