This place is an absolute sham. I had heard such good things in the past so I recommended to a family member. My family member had an AWFUL experience. Really great staff and awesome doctor!! I was always super self-conscious about my crooked teeth, but I didn’t want to wear braces because I wasn’t a teenager anymore and felt as if it would look weird on me. I am a dental hygienist working/living in Vancouver and it was worth the drive to clackamas! I was offered Invisalign, which worked perfect for me because of the cosmetic side of it. I liked that I switched out the trays every week and would only come in about once every 3 months to the office. This office has the best equipment. Not even kidding! I never liked having impressions done on me and turns out that they have a scanner they use to take a “computerized” impression of the teeth! The process was a lot more comfortable for me that way. I would write a whole paragraph about my experience but to sum it up, I would recommend Chapman Smiles to anybody that desires high quality orthodontic care for reasonable costs. We’ve taken three out of our four teenagers to Dr. Chapman and team, because the results we’ve gotten are perfection itself. Sheryl (Gary’s right-hand woman) is the absolute best and has treated our whole family like a member of her own. You guys are the best! We love it here! Started with early intervention and working through braces. Staff is always friendly and Dr. Chapman is very personable. Plus they are always looking at ways to make your experience better.

First of all I want to thank Dr. Chapman and his whole crew for putting up with me for two years to make sure my smile is perfect and I'm satisfied with it. They work with you until you are 100% satisfied and I liked that. They have several financing options that are pretty affordable. I also took both of my kids there and they gave us family discounts. This place is amazing...I was a little taken aback by how modern it was, but they are so friendly, courteous...and I feel like i’m at a resort when we are there. We took our daughter to see Dr Chapman for invisalign and had an experience beyond what we would have expected from an orthodontists office. Dr Chapman and his staff were extremely friendly, they talked to our daughter and not at our daughter and made her feel important. They used a tool that created an image of our daughter's teeth in real time then displayed it on a very large TV screen to show us what we were working with. The rendering was also was how they created molds so she did not have to put any paste in her mouth. They then showed us a rendering of what her teeth would look like after invisalign so we could see before and after photos side by side. It was very high tech but still approachable. We will definitely be switching dentists to also have our teeth cleaned there after today. I don't often write reviews but this experience needed to have a review made. At first this seemed like a great place but once they received their money they no longer care about their patients. I got my braces when I was 14, and when I got my retainers they hurt a lot more than the braces. I came into the office a few times with assistance with this issue but all I received was "get used to them" and at 14 I ended up skipping wearing the retainers a lot and all of my teeth moved again. This was expensive and I have already told everyone that was looking for braces not to go here but to go elsewhere. And after I have voiced my complaint they don't even care. We loved Dr. Chapman and his staff! They were not the closest or most convenient for us to travel to but I felt the plan he had for my son after meeting with two other practices was the best. We are both thrilled with the outcome of his beautiful smile!

I wish I could relate to all these other wonderful experiences these people have had with Chapman orthodontics but I can’t. I started off my treatment with Dr.Chapman when I was 15 years old, he said I didn’t need any teeth pulled and slapped braces on me for 5k which was all payed upfront by my parents. A year or so into my treatment he sells, loses? I have no idea but he was GONE, and all of his patients were basically sold to another orthodontist office without an explanation and now I was having to go see a completely different orthodontist. Well, it’s time for my braces to come off a year later and I’m just so unhappy. To paint a good picture I had a horse mouth. It was obvious my teeth were crowded for my mouth and I needed to get teeth pulled but I was just so tired of braces I forgot about it. They said he really messed up a lot of patients though not just me. Dr.Chapman gave myself and my parents such a false explanation but was so happy to take our money. I’m now 21 years old with braces AGAIN but this time I got not just one or two but FOUR teeth pulled. Thanks for selling out your patients and screwing us over! I would not recommend this “doctor”. I did Invisalign at Chapman Smiles. My teeth weren’t too incredibly uneven in the first place, but I had my top four front teeth that I was unhappy with. I got them straightened up in 9 months and had really great visits every time I went in! Thanks so much!!!

Excellent service and care from the start. Dr Chapman was the only orthodontist, out of four, that showed us the damage our daughter was suffering from her misaligned teeth. Our daughter was a tough case. Due to her teeth grinding, she snapped off several brackets. Dr Chapman fixed each one and came up with a solution to prevent her from snapping off any more brackets. Dr. Chapman is a real artist! Both my daughters now have their braces off, and their smiles are beautiful! Having large teeth in small mouths is a challenge. Dr. Chapman avoided having to pull teeth by using an appliance called a Penguin, which was installed around age 7 when the permanent teeth were all in and created enough room for the teeth to come in. Braces were the second stage. Now at 13 1/2 my daughter has a movie star smile! All Dr. Chapman's staff are professional and pleasant and I feel we got a real value for the amazing smiles he has created. I helped my sister shop around for an Orthodontist. We had several appointments but in the end Dr. Chapman offered the experience we had hoped for. He and his staff are professional and still manage to offer a fun environment. It went so well for my sister that I decided to get braces too. Flash forward a couple years: I've had my braces off for about a week and I LOVE my smile!!! If you are afraid of the pain that comes with braces, give Chapman Smiles a chance. I had braces through ChapmanSmiles quite a few years ago--maybe 7. I just recently went back because I lost a retainer, and they were so kind to set me up with a replacement which "reset" certain teeth that had shifted. Dr. Chapman pointed out the underlying reason behind my tooth-shifting, and made sure to fix the problem even beyond what I had asked. It was so great to see the entire office staff still as welcoming as ever, and Dr. Chapman still as engaging and kind with his patients. Dr. Chapman's office is always very accommodating. I've never had a problem changing an appointment or getting in for quick appointment when a bracket breaks. Also: both my kids play lacrosse. They've always been willing to throw in free mouth guards for them. They even get to pick their color! That's huge in the kids opinion!
