Dr. Galen G Van Wyhe

My father is a long time patient of Dr VanWyhe. Dad had a cardiac defibrillator implanted a few years ago and it has shocked him a number of times. If it wasn’t for Dr Van Wyhe my dad would not be alive today

Dr Van Whye is a gift to patients and families who are blessed enough to be under his care. His bedside manner is second to none. He could express how serious a situation was without paralyzing you w fear. Confident diagnosis and plan put us at ease. He and Erin were accessible to us anytime and without complaint. He remembers us and details of our lives and makes us feel like family. Dr Van Why saved OUR lives. God sent him to my husband’s hospital room and we are thankful every day. Thank you!

Where do I start, he walked into my hospital room and his presence saved my life ! The ER doctor told me I was inches from dying and now I’m great ! Not only was the surgery a success but his team was the best in the business. Doc and Erin are always a phone call away even though my surgery was 3 years ago . My surgery was in Oct of 2015 and I was dressed as a Storm Trooper rooting on the St Jude marathon runners in December of the same year. This Doctor saved my life ! Thank you, Bobby Smith

Dr. Van Whye, and his nurse Erin, provided excellent care to my father. He was available to spend time with us as a family and always willing to answer questions. I will always be grateful for his compassionate care.

?In December 2017, my mother's newly diagnosed cardiac abnormalities were addressed, corrected, and managed promptly and professionally due to the excellent care given by Dr. Van Whye and his team. Because of his expertise and attention to detail, my mother continues to enjoy a full and productive life- for this, I cannot thank him enough. As a physician, I am very capable of recognizing those who are outstanding and Dr. Van Whye stands strongly among them.

During my uncle’s cardio ablation, Van Whye poked a hole in his aorta causing him multiple complications: bypass surgery, cardiac tamponade, stroke and near death. This should have never happened! Van Whye is too eager to perform procedures which can be treated with medication, DOES NOT discuss the risks and I noticed his hands have a tremor. Van Whye may have been a good doctor at one time, but he should retire from performing procedures. If you need a cardiologist -- go to Stern Cardiology.
