Dr.Vatafu and staff are very accommodating and helpful from my first visit years ago till now it has always been a great experience.

One of the most professional dentists office around. The Doctor and hygienists are very nice, accommodating and extremely knowledgeable. The assistant, Azra, is super friendly and inviting. Makala the receptionist is very welcoming and the office manager, Adma, she is just the best! Love this office!

Overall, excellent service. Staff was very friendly and professional. As a courtesy verified my insurance so wasn’t in for any surprises. I will definitely recommend to everyone

Super unprofessional, cancelled multiple times my appointments and what's even worst is the nasty attitude of one of the female staff at the window some blonde older lady (I wish I knew her name ti put it here) that I don't even know the name but extremely rude and disrespect I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Dr. Vatafu and all of his staff have been welcoming from the start with our entire family. My husband and step daughter have been patients for 10 years and myself and two sons 3 years. Coming to a new dentist was a big deal for us because we had been through the horror stories of a dental chain mistake. Not only did he put us all at ease but the entire staff made us feel welcomed and informed. It was far from a few normal visits thru the years to recover from our previous encounters but I wouldn't trade it for anything. The staff is courteous, polite, considerate and communicative. They worked with us thru insurance changes and always made us feel part of the plan. You just have to call and experience as positive a dental visit as we have had the opportunity of recieving each visit. Thank you all Dr. V & Staff???? Me and my entire family (husband, mother, father, daughter, my sister and her family) have been going to Dr. Vatafu since he opened his practice in Newington. He is by far the best dentist we have ever had. He and his staff are very knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. They are truly concerned about their patients and will always try to work appointments around your schedule. Not only is Dr. V an expert in his field he is a true artist when it comes to crowns, implants, and general tooth repair. To sum my review up..Dr. Vatafu is an awesome dentist and person. Today was my first time here and I’m very impressed. From the initial making of my appt, their front desk staff was friendly and accommodating. Once there, they took me right in for my appt time and Kylie was a phenomenal hygienist. The doctor came in to check my teeth right away and was very friendly. I recently had “all on four” procedure with Dr Lucian And I can’t even explain how thankful I am to him and his staff for being so caring, helpful and concerned about my well being. Although I was a tough patient because of my condition they did everything to make me feel safe and comfortable especially in this pandemic times. They have such bad customer service, everyone in that building are racist, disrespectful, rude and very unprofessional.

Gabriel took me today only so he could yell at a pregnant woman about a 7 month old scheduling matter that his staff messed up, still refusing to take accountability. Dentist stated that “they aren’t a fast food restaurant so I won’t be getting services when my appointment is made necessarily” and also had the nerve to mention that I wasn’t missing any dental services from that prior date because “He’s paying for it with his taxes”-mind you I wasn’t on Husky A when the original issue happened, I enrolled this month LoL. We have had Aetna that we pay through the teeth for, I’m just now 2 months pregnant and can have Husky while working (goes to show how ill informed this man is). Aetna was in fact billed for a full service cleaning which I never received. I proved with the help of one of the dental assistants that my appointment was moved in their system to the next quarter hour, I had the appointment card at home and emailed it to my dentist with the complaint about the domino effect his office caused taking me so late having to return to work midday and also making it seem like I was the one who was incorrect and as you can see 7 months later the whole practice is still not taking responsibility. You’d think I’d go in for a cleaning today and that’d be the end of it or even an apology. Instead I got yelled at, insulted, reprimanded for showing up (which they actually called me to come in sooner! Perhaps he had this all planned?) and to top it off the dentist tried to pull some BS about me saying or doing something that never even transpired. I only wish my phone wasn’t in my purse but in my pocket so I could have recorded the verbal abuse. To top it off I was stuck in the room with the manager in the doorway behind me who caused this months ago, unruly dentist by my side, nice assistant at foot of chair with me stuck in the chair so I couldn’t excuse myself from the toxic environment. Whatever I go through my unborn child goes through, I wouldn’t treat anyone like this forget about a woman with child. I really thought moving forward, there’d be an apologetic tone if not one verbally relayed about the past. Not the polar opposite and additional lies on top trying to make a patient look bad because you don’t like the honest truth about a complaint. I’ll pray for you! Amerodental in Newington, CT gets 5 stars from me! I'm a tough clinical case for the dentist, I admit. I am a significant teeth grinder at night and during the day. I break every mouth guard made for me. But, Dr. Vatafu took the time to make my new guard, just right. He did not stop adjusting it until I was completely satisfied. Dr. Vatafu went the extra mile to make sure I was happy. For that I am grateful. If I could summarize Dr. Vatafu and his staff in 3 words, it would be: patient, kind, and helpful. I went to the dentist with a broken molar. Now, I'm a big baby when it comes to the dentist & the drilling drives me crazy!!! Dr. Vatafu & his assistant Kimberly were ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL!!! No pain! He had to take the old silver out and put the new white stuff in. No pain & my tooth is back to normal!!! If you ever need a great dentist with a wonderful staff, come to this office. And the prices are great!!! They located at 1247 Main Street, Newiy, CT. I really love them!!! So on 1/6/2020, my old silver filling started to come out. Dr. Vatafa to the rescue!!!! He fixed my tooth with no pain!!! I will as so nervous, he even sang to me a little bit to get me to calm down. I TRULY LOVE THIS DENTIST AND HIS WONDERFUL STAFF!!! I have been going to Amerodental for years, now my whole family goes. They have been wonderful and never perform unnecessary treatments. I have had other dental experience that you can tell only fill "cavities" for the money. I would recommend them to anyone wanting an honest and talented dentist. Dr. V is the best.

This is a very professionally run office starting with the office staff and right to every medical professional that I have seen to date. I had a rather extensive procedure done and felt my health and wealthfare was considered throughout the whole process.

I've been using Amerodental for a few years now and very pleased with there service and expertise in modern dentistry. I had a lumineer done and it came out amazing and they were flexible on my payment. I had my mom go there and she had her dentures completed and Adma was so sweet and handled all the paperwork with the town of Newington for financial aid. Wonderful dentists, but they leave early changing people's appointments the day before or even the same day so they can leave earlier. It's happened to me twice in the last two months.I recently had an appointment at 2;00 and they called to change it so the dentist could leave. They are not open on Fridays or Saturdays. I am considering leaving because of the limited office hours. I would have rated it 5 stars if they would have better office hours. The hours posted are not accurate. This is the place to go if you want to feel comfortable. Dr Vatafu takes his time giving you the pain medication. He tries really hard not to hurt you. That is what I loved about going to him. He cares about how the patient is feeling and he will explain things to you. Let's face it, no one likes to go to any doctors, not even the dentist. Went here after a ridiculous wait (25+ min after telling me to come 15 min early) at another Newington dentist. Amerodental got us right in at the scheduled time. They were amazing with our 4 year old first trip to the dentist! Overall very professional and respectful of our time.
