Gabriela Rodriguez-Caprio

Like others here, I found Dr. Caprio to be dismissive of my concerns and very self-absorbed. She spent much time talking about her vacation and ultimately told me my pain was due to anxiety (it is not). Avoid this DR.

I am a relatively new patient of Dr. Rodriguez-Caprio and I'm happy so far. She seems very thorough and takes plenty of time to understand your concerns. She is compassionate (asking me to check in with her in a few months after learning of the death of my mother). Would recommend.

Only went to Dr. Rodriguez-Caprio because my wonderful PCP of 25 years, Dr. Lucy N. Painter, retired. Dr. R-C was one of 2 doctors taking over Dr. Painter's practice. Had 2 visits with her, uncomfortable after 1st but wanted to give her a chance. As a new patient, she wasn't too interested in my history & jumped to incorrect conclusions about important items. For the best possible care a patient must be 100% honest with their doctors, as I always am. Patients want honesty too, &support, encouragement, sensitivity, compassion. I'd just joined AA, excited to tell her, &told her my sobriety date. She looked at me askance &said "You can't say that at this time," like I could relapse any time. I didn't & won't. At 71 I will live the rest of my life sober. She claimed substance abuse &recovery were her specialties. At home I researched her: it wasn't true: I was shocked to see her specialty is infectious diseases! This was just before Covid shutdown, but Dr.R-C didn't say a word about it.

Dr. Rodriguez-Caprio is a remarkable caring and responsive primary care provider. She takes a sincere and serious interest in her patients' well-being as indicated by her follow through and follow ups to be sure you have what you need. Her COVID-19 involvements make her an even more important diagnostician and advisor on holistic and whole system/body care.

I had one visit with her. She talked a lot about herself, her childhood, her medical experience, and asked very little about me. No thanks.

Dr. Rodriguez-Caprio is attentive and thorough. She provides a timely turnaround with much awaited medical results on the portal system, even on the weekends, alleviating anxiety and stress.

Dr. Rodriguez is by far one of the greatest and most thorough providers I have had through the years. She is thorough and takes her time with her patients and makes sure they receive the upmost care. It is for these reasons I follow her in whatever healthcare institution she is at.

Dr. G. Rodriguez-Caprio, Is a phenomenal, she cares about her patients and always but them first. I would follow her any where. I am glad she’s at Weill Cornell.

I went to her for the first time last week for a regular annual checkup. I have always considered myself very healthy. I’ve never been ill, apart from an occasional cold, I am on no medication either, and come from a long lived healthy family. After meeting with Dr. CAprio, I felt so depressed. She made me feel like I was sick, and argued with me about a particular checkup I preferred, among other negative comments about my state of health. I will not be returning to her. I need a doctor who takes a more wholistic, positive approach.

She's been my doctor for over 10 years. I can't think of someone who spends more time getting to know her patients and has more integrity.

I was her pt for 2 yrs. I was in search for Hep C treatment which is why I went there. I suggested that I wanted Ribaviran and Interferon for liver maintenance cause I have experience with this treatment. She stated that my suggestion was too toxic and suggested another course of treatment which would require that I change my HIV regimen.
