I wouldn’t recommend him to anyone. He is very arrogant and disrespectful. Did not ask any questions about my lifestyle or what may be the cause of my problems. Just wanted to diagnose whether he could make money from my insurance or not. Once he found out he couldn’t he was even more disrespectful and condescending towards me. He speaks very loud and must not be aware that his patients can hear what he says about them to the nurses. I made the mistake of trying a Mercy doctor. In the future I’ll be sticking with BJC for my medical needs.

Very great communicator of medical procedures.

Dr. Walters is Straight-forward. No beating around the bush ( which I like in a doctor). He ask if you have any questions if not he will give you his own question following a answer to that question. Very thorough showing and explaining your diagnosis to you . Over all, he seems like a good man with a good hart. And I thank the Good Lord would agree to. ??

Had tumor in my kidney which led to a kidney removal and Dr Walters was a great Dr from my first visit until I was released 5 yrs later. Would NOT hesitate to go to him again if needed.

The surgery and recovery went perfect. Dr. Walters is very professional and great at what he does.

Dr. Frederick Walters is one of the smartest, most understandable doctors I have ever met. His mix of prescriptions did more to cure my urology/prostrate needs than any other doctor. In fact, I WAS going to need surgery, but he obviated the need for it!

I’ve been seeing Dr Walters for about 5 years. He’s a wonderful Dr, very thorough and compassionate. I’ve been dealing with kidney stones for 20 years. I love the staff, very friendly and caring. He’s treated my Dad and my husband and we are very happy with the care we received. I highly recommend!

I don't have an experience because I called the number 314-843-8000 and while in extreme pain from kidney stone I was trying to make an appointment but one of the women who answers the phones hung up on me in mid explanation of my situation and I immediately called back but it rang for almost a minute before a different woman answered and she put me on hold immediately. So that right there should tell you about how they deal with their patients.

Referring back to a September 2015 appointment. Reason for review now is that I just had the opportunity to read his documented description of my appointment. Somehow he was much more professional than I remember. This appointment will forever stay with me word for word because no doctor has ever been so rude to me. The doctor himself told me to come in after my release from the hospital. I am disabled and in a motorized wheelchair and thought we could talk about me learning to catheterize myself. When he came in to see me these were the exact words when he entered my room. "Look I am just a bladder guy. From what I see you are way too fat and you would never be able to find the hole.". I was in tears and hardly responded. This man should only be your doctor if you are not fat. Referring back to a September 2015 appointment. Dr. Walters and Staff - both professional and light.

A fine surgeon but gives no written information about what to expect after major kidney surgery and does not provide follow up care, even while you are still in the hospital. I was in the hospital for 5 days, and I got 10 min. of his time. I had to call his office when I had issues. He did not make rounds to include me. I felt abandoned after surgery. They also don't check on you after you go home. I ended up having to go back to the emergency room the day after 1 day.

I can't say enough great things about Dr. Walters. I was in terrible pain with kidney stones and he helped me thru it from start to finish. I ended up having surgery to remove stone but he was great and I was so thankful I found him after being stuck with a horrible doctor prior to him! Great doctor and staff is just as wonderful!

I have a history of kidney stones. Dr. Walters treated me both times. I had eruption of pain from my side this morning and new it was another stone. I tried to bear through it. About 3pm I called Dr. Walters and the first avalaible appointment he had for me was 2 days later and the Nurse would not do anything to get me in there sooner. "sorry thats all we have". On top of that, I asked them to prescribe me medication for the pain until I could get in there. "sorry that is against our policy". So they expect me to sit through this pain for 2 days? And this is a urinary doctor? So now I have to go to hospital get hit with a thousand dollar bill and still go see him after wards. Sorry Doc, you just lost a patient.
