Dr. Frederick E Rushford

I was hospitalized and prescribed medication from Dr Rushford for my heart. Absolutely no complaints about him. He did a great job, BUT Valerie in his office yelled at me and had a mean attitude when I told her the pharmacy faxed her a pre-authorization form to approved the medication. She then said she would resend the prescription which is NOT the issue. My insurance requires authorization from the doctor and she didn't want to check if the form was there. She claimed it wasn't but I called into after hours to the doctor and he had called and spoke to them> He told the pharmacy he would have his office handle it by Tuesday. Now its Tuesday and they still have not sent the authorization my insurance is asking for. I went into the hospital due to my heart, triglycerides of 1300 and I am at risk for heart attack. How much more serious should it be for me them to complete a simple process to get my medication. I am also at risk for Pancreatitis if I don't get the medicine I need and they are lagging like it doesn't matter to them. Again the prescription is already at the pharmacy they just have to complete a simple pre-authorization for my insurance. Takes 5 minutes. Valerie was the most rude person I have ever spoken to at a doctors office in my 43 years.

I've been seeing Dr Rushford for years. He's managed my thyroid issues through two pregnancies. Even when my insurance no longer covered him he worked out a manageable self pay rate with me.

always very attentive staff as well as Dr. Rushford, always knew my name despite of the amounts of patients he may treat. i would not go to another Dr. than him.

I have been taking my mother to see this doctor for awhile now, we went to our last visit, and there were like 6 people scheduled ahead of us, our appointment was at 3, and we were not put in room until about 4:15, we still waited and at 4:45 I decided to leave because the wait was too long, my mother was falling asleep, and had to eat. We did not expect it to take this long. I am not sure why they schedule so many people if they cannot keep up with the demand. Another thing, is that i had requested for the receptionist to call me back for any cancellations. The girl stated that she couldn't do that because she was not sufficiently staffed to do so, this has nothing to do with patient needs. If you go here, don't expect to be seen quickly. The Dr. is great and knows his stuff, and managed to get and keep my mothers A1C low and stable. The office needs some more organization. As a person who handles Dr''s for both of my parents this is the last thing we need to worry about is not being seen on time. Doctor Rushford runs a Medical Marketing store. He hawks vitamins and supplements that he has on display at prices much higher than almost anywhere else, He mails out prescriptions of Hydrocodone to patients that he hasn't seen in months and will give a prescription to almost anyone who asks, needed or not. Disclaimer! This doctor has not treated me but I have been in his office with my mother and always ask tough questions as does her daughter. This being said, even though I an not his patient and neither is the daughter, one of us is always there by her side throughout the entire visit. Understand that I am checking the box but I am not his patient. Actually we have received bad social treatment from this doctor.

I have been seeing this doctor for years. If you have a PPO he will take you. He doesn't take HMO! Now I have to switch doctors.

Great doctor. Very nice. Never rushes me. Patiently listens and answers questions. He is very thorough.

I really like Dr. Rushford! I have had several problems, thyroid and osteoporosis. He has done an amazing job correcting these things! I feel 100% better! I finally found my Dr. He explains Everything so throughly. He gets straight to the point, and I like it that way! I just like to say Thank You!
