I was referred to Dr. Marciano by a friend of my wife. I called 05/02/22 to schedule an appointment, and they asked if I had an MRI in the last 6 months, which I had, they said bring in the MRI & the MRI report, then they would call me to schedule the appointment. I dropped off the MRI & the report 05/03/22. After 2 weeks & no call from the Dr’s office, I called (had to leave messages, could never get a person at that point). No one ever returned my call or subsequent calls. Went to the office today to pick up my MRI, their excuse was they didn’t have my contact info. I gave them that when I dropped off my MRI 05/03/22. Dr. Marciano is truly operating in his gift, which is why he is different! I’ve been dealing with back pain for 25+ years and it was gone immediately after surgery, just like he said it would! It’s been a year since my surgery and no pain at all, finally got my life back. I’ve seen doctors in Illinois/Nevada and was hesitant to have back fusion surgery. However, after meeting Dr. Marciano on my first visit, I was totally convinced that this man knows what he is doing! If anyone you know has back problems, please look no further and make an appointment, it’s life changing! Dr. Marciano, thank you for all did and continue to do!

I can verify the quality of Dr Marciano! I have sent patients to him over the last 10 years and have rehabilitated his post surgical cases. I have seen tremendous results due to his skills and attention to detail. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Marciano.

When I first consulted with Dr. Marciano I could barely walk. My back nerves were pinched and very painful. Dr Marciano suggested a foraminotomy to relieve my symptoms. He explained other options but this was the least intrusive. He performed the procedure in out surgery and I was able to walk out of the Hospital right after a short recovery the same day. Today I am as strong as ever with no back pain or discomfort. I give Dr Marciano 6+ stars.

I saw Dr. Marciano for a basic imaging consultation, which took about 20 min. My insurance was billed $900!. Yes, $900 for a 20 min visit discussing my imaging. That’s almost $2,000/Hr he’s billing people. He’s a good doctor, but that’s pure price gouging. You can’t charge that much and not tell someone beforehand. I’m still waiting to hear back from their finance department for an explanation.

Dr. Marciano is the best. He listens gives you options and lets you decide what is right. He is upfront and tells you. I had been in pain for 20+years afraid to have back surgery. He did my surgery and followed me every step after. He continues to help me get through PT. He also treated my son and was very involved in his treatment for arachnoid cyst of brain. Would recommend him over and over. Thank You for all you do.

Won’t see any patients with previous surgery done to them when they need help.

I’ve had 3 prior fusions at different levels for various reasons over the past 20 years - all done by Dr Marciano and it looks like I will be back again soon, unfortunately. He also did an emergency surgery on my daughter. He is by far the best doctor we’ve ever been to and I can’t imagine going to anyone else. When you have this kind of incredible pain, you know what a blessing it is to get relief.

Dr. Marciano is one of, if not the finest Dr and greatest person that I have ever met. He truly cares about you as a patient and a person. He has operated on me three separate times for three different issues. Yes, I had a fun childhood. The Improvement in quality of life he gave me is something that every day I thank him for. I remember what it was like not to be able to get up and move due to excruciating pain. He told me there is no fixing it, what I can do is make it better than it is right now and improve your quality of life. And that he did. Thank you again Dr. Marciano.

Four years ago exactly Dr. Marciano and Dr. Tumialan, as a team, performed spinal fusion on my lower back. I had been miserable for about 8 years and from the day of surgery, I have been completely relieved of my prior pain! I feel very blessed to have had this awesome team of doctors! (side note: Dr. Marciano had performed same surgery on my 78 year old mother years before, so I knew I would be in good hands! :))

I had a spinal fusion done by Dr. Marciano in 2014. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Marciano. The surgery was very successful. He is the best surgeon for this type of surgery. His bedside manner is wonderful. He let me see him 3 times before finally deciding to have the surgery. Each time he patiently explained what was wrong and how he planned to fix it. I highly recommend this doctor.

Have seen Marciano for ten years - have a benign brain tumor, meningioma - checking periodically to see if it has grown (MRI) - no problems yet - very-much like Marciano's conservative approach - could have suggested surgery the first time I saw him - took a wait-and-see approach and in ten years tumor has not grown or caused any neurological deficit. Would have loved to have gotten an appointment with him. Sent my MRI's to him only to be stopped at the appointment desk, REASON: I had prior L-4, l5 and S-1 fused in 2006 and was told his protocol was he would not entertain anyone who had a prior fusion not done by him. My issues had nothing to do with my prior fusion. I would have liked to have gotten by the appointment desk to at least get an opinion from him. Greatly disappointed especially after I had told the appointment desks one other the major issues and was told I would move to the top of the appointments. Greatly disappointed especially since we both served our military for 22 years. NOTE: All communication was done by phone. I wrote this to inform new patients with a prior fusion an appointment would not happen. I also hope that Dr. Marciano see's this and understands there are exceptions to all rules. A consult would have been helpful!

Before seeing Dr. Marciano for possible lumbar surgery, I did some research and found that reviews were unanimously positive. I now understand why. He was extremely thorough in his assessment and spent a great deal of time reviewing my condition with me. While he recommended surgery, he was very good at laying out other options and even invited me to seek a second opinion. The surgery experience was great from start to finish, and it is obvious he is tremendously admired by the hospital staff that work with him and care for his patients. Only an overnight stay was needed in the hospital, and recovery has gone better than I anticipated. Other reviewers have commented on his support staff, and they are all terrific. I would also add that in spite of his reputation as an extraordinary physician, he is a modest man with a great bedside manner.

This man happened to be in the emergency area at Scottsdale Osborne when I went in for excruciating back pain..he did an MRI right then and there... admitted me to the hospital that night..did surgery the next morning...I have zero pain and that was 3 years ago..he told me I'd feel like a brand new person..I was this close to being in a wheelchair ..I am forever grateful for this amazing man.. Dr. Marciano is an exceptional surgeon. Had neck fusion in 2013 on 5c-6c no more constant pain. Did what he instructed me to do and zero complications. He will not do surgery unless he can help you that’s a good surgeon. Many thanks to him and his office staff!

What a joke. This guy is so full of himself. You have to send radiology so he can review and decide if you are good enough to be his patient. Now they tell me if you ever had back surgery, he will not try to help you. I sounds like this guy is not very good and only picks easy cases so he can look good. Thank goodness he didn’t get his hands on me.

Dr Marciano is outstand as is his team who works with him and beyond that his support staff at the office goes out of their way to accommodate the patients in scheduling appointments and while at a doctor's visit. Dr. Marciano is both an outstanding surgeon, but also a caring doctor who takes the time to listen and explain to his patient. He has passed that skill along to his surgical team and staff.

Dr. Marciano performed an epidural abscess extraction in my spine in 2010, the infection nearly ended my life. Dr. Marciano's intervention was a life saver. I am currently healthy, riding my bicycle and pursuing my Doctorate Degree in BH. Thank You Dr. Marciano.

I was in extreme arm, shoulder and neck pain for all of 2015. Received 3 epidurals, months of chiropractic, months of rehab, heavy pain killers...nothing helped. Had 3 bulging discs 4-5, 5-6, 6-7. Scheduled Dr. Marciano in Oct and he suggested double fusion with 2 prosthetic discs. Went in for Surgery Dec. 21st 2015. Came out and instantly felt no pain. I can honestly say, other than a few weeks of soreness due to surgery, I have been completely pain free. He told me he'd get me my life back and he was true to his word. I had major back surgery performed by Dr. Marciano. I cannot express enough how wonderful this doctor is. He is an amazing surgeon and my surgery was an amazing success. He partnered with another amazing doctor from Barrows during my surgery. I put off my surgery for 14 months because of fear. I went to see Dr. Marciano 3 times before believing his expert opinion and scheduling the surgery. Each time we spent a great deal of time going over the MRI and CT scans with me explaining the problem and the solution of a specific surgery. He uses the most updated techniques available. He is kind, compassionate, and truly cares for you, the patient. As for his office and staff - they are also amazing. They are professional, competent, kind and quick to respond to you. Don't waste time suffering in horrible pain, trying treatments that won't ever work or suffering of fear from all the bad things you hear. Let Dr. Marciano look at your MRI and tell you what is the best course of treatment. Hopefully it won't be surgery but if it is you will absolutely be in the best surgical hands out there. Btrilliant brain surgeon. This man SAVED MY LIFE. Period.

He is an excellent doctor and could not tell you how wonderful it is to have a knowledgeable and respectful doctor. He is world renowned and worked with our troops couldn't ask for a better person to have for a doctor. He listened to my pain problem areas I have had for years and only when I was ready for surgery did the surgery happen after he approved to see me with my MRI and longevity at the pain management doctors. I was getting better till I was in a car accident 3 months after surgery which was the other drivers negligence, totaled my car, and still have excruciating pain in the surgical area. I am hoping and praying to get back in to see him as something is not right and been in excruciating pain since the car accident. I know he will fix me again as soon as I can see him, unfortunately for people he is so sought after that you have to start your process all over and wait. Dr. Marciano and his staff were so amazing. I was in such horrible back pain, I couldn't work, I couldn't function anymore. They worked so fast to get me in and fix me up. Dr. Marciano always showed me my x-rays and scans, I loved that. I can't thank them enough for helping me get out of the extreme pain I was in.

I like the fact that Dr. Marciano is very conservative in his approach to doing surgery. He would not do my surgery until I had tried physical therapy and Chiropractic therapy first. Dr. Marciano explained my condition thoroughly and in language I could understand. The surgery and recovery went well. Dr. Marciano's bedside manner was great. I would recommend Dr. Marciano to anyone.
