About Dr. Frederick Karoub
Reviews for Dr. Frederick Karoub
Called multiple times to ask if they were taking new patients and finall after 2 months no call back, waited for manager and they are not. She told me in response to not getting information or call back “if you don’t feel comfortable with service don’t use us” Don’t bother with them!
Great bedside manner, thinks long term on health issues, thorough in making a diagnosis and never speaks down to his patients. Bottom line the best physician one could have.
I scheduled an in person appointment for 10:40 on 01/19/2023. A member of my household tested positive for COVID on Friday 1/13/2023. I called the office on Tuesday and was told my appointment would be changed from in person to tele-health. Not what I wanted but wasn’t given the choice to reschedule so said ok. It is now 1:40 pm and I still have not received a call. I did phone them and was told he is busy seeing in person patients. Guess tele-health patients are not important. Will NEVER use tele-health appointments again! What a waste of MY TIME!!
Wonderful person, great doctor. You may not get what you want, but you'll get what you need. Remember that you're going to a professional for help. Trust your doctor.
Dr. Frederick Karoub is one of the best Internal Medicine physicians in the area! As a long-term patient, I can attest to his knowledge, expertise and empathy. He remains on the "cutting edge" of medicine and offers his patients the best in the practice of medicine. The challenges of COVID have been mitigated by Dr. Karoub and his staff. For example, while telephone wait-times may be longer (due to the myriad of COVID factors), the dedicated care to patients of his practice remains in tact! I feel fortunate to have a professional like Dr. Karoub in "my corner." Dr. Marilyn Gilbert, Patient
For documentation and confirmation I'm including the following text: Good afternoon Dr. Karoub. As I told your staff during our visit at your office, we do appreciate all of your efforts and post visit, I respect your notice to discontinue serving as our PCP doctor however, we had already begun the search for a new PCP due to the multiple errors and costly mistakes made by your staff that led to the unnecessary pain and suffering my mother had to endure while under your care which initially, never enabled us to build confidence that your office would provide the quality of service and attention that my mother needed and deserved as a patient under your care Dr. Karoub. Just the fact that I was told by your staff, after numerous errors made by them, that Dorothy's medical records still hadn't been uploaded as of 9/16/21 from the email address your office provided in which I sent her medical records to, on 8/10/21, was quite alarming under the circumstances. I'm not sure that we are the ones who should be included or in any way responsible for the breakdown of the patient/doctor relationship for our being vigilant and passionate in a non-disrespectful fashion regarding Dorothy's treatment but I do regret that things turned out this way. Unfortunately, this caused us great frustration which I can understand you wanting to move on from in our particular regard but again I thank you for your efforts and wish you success in your practice. In parting I have yet another issue here. We have each received a certified letter from your office addressed to us individually that state your intention to discontinue our care and which also states that you "have" enclosed in each letter, the medical release forms. No such forms were enclosed in either envelope. At this point that's not surprising but If you would, please, mail each of us a medical release form. Time is of the essence, thank you. I was seing doctor Frederick and he honestly saved my life. Started at the age of 30 for like 6 years. Then I messed up. I never had any problems and they offered me paying installments. I just made a new appointment and I am praying to GOD that he sees me again. I have a doctor now but he always look tired and he is also good but not as good as doctor Fred. Before covid there was no wait. I see people are complaining about wait and such a things but while I was seeing him it was all good. Once I fell and he helped me and got me in wouth appointment. P.A. are as well amazing and complete staff. He can be your doctor and friend if you are really open to him and treat you in variety of conditions. Nihad Okanovic.
The doctor seems nice enough, but that is not all that is needed to win my confidence in his ability to sincerely care about my health. His staff does not return phone calls, he does not follow-up to discuss lab results or other examinations (stress test, etc.). All of my visits have been tele-doc appointments. The last visit was due to high blood pressure, which I explained the readings that I had taken at home...He agreed they were high, then proceeded to write a script (without seeing me or getting accurate readings for himself) and then, to add insult to injury, his office didn't submit Rx....it is extremely difficult to find the right doctor these days, so my search continues. Excellent Doctor. Dedicated. Hard working .
He is an amazing and thorough Dr. He listens to his patients.
Good man, listens to his patients
I've not had a doctor as engaged and committed as Fred Karoub. He has this caring quality that's reassuring. When there is a concern he tackles it. Some of the staff can use customer service training but overall great practice.

If u like to have a wonderful doctor Take your time out go see him
The doctor is friendly. However, they have a third party company to process billing. When I had a billing problem. I called the third party company and they told me to call the doctor office, and the doctor office asked me to call the third party company (Even worse, they just put me on hold for an hour...). No one is willing to help to resolve the issue. If you choose this office, you won't have an issue until you encounter a billing error. Because of this, I decided to switch to another physician.
I have been seeing Dr. Fred for several years now. I absolutely cannot say enough about him. Besides being super smart, he is a very caring and compassionate person. While you may wait a bit, he has always worked me in when needed. So while you’re waiting, please keep in mind that it could be you next time making other patients wait while you are worked in! I thought it would be hard to find someone as good as my old doc in another state but darned if Dr. Fred didn’t exceed my expectations. Love the man!
I went to his office once. They charged me extra for nurse to take my vitals. They would not return my calles when I asking for additional instructions for the lab location or lab preparation. They forwarded my account balance of $114 to collections without contacting me to find out if I had received their bill. I found the technical expertise marginal and Office staff professionalism very poor. I would not go back. I went to his office once. They charged me extra for nurse to take my vitals. Dr. Fred may have a bit of a wait but that seems to be due to the fact that he gives you quality time once you see him. He has always followed up and explained things well. He has been a great doctor in my experience.

This is absolutely true. I diagnosed my own gallbladder disease AND my hypothyroidism. Dr. Fred kept telling me, “I guarantee you if you lose 20 pounds, you’ll feel better.” He must have told me that 6 times while I was complaining that I didn’t feel well. Who wouldn’t feel better losing some weight? Trust your instincts. I eventually had my gallbladder out and I found an endocrinologist who helped me greatly. This doc has too many patients to offer them good quality care.

Very kind man. Lizzy is very helpful and kind on the phone.
I went to Dr Frederick Karoub for the first time and I have to say he is a keeper. He is so warm ad understanding and takes a lot of time to explain everything to you. He is the most compassionate Doctor I have ever met. Very very understanding. I would recommend him to anyone.

I strongly recommend Dr. Fred Karoub. In addition to being a great doctor from a medical standpoint, he is patient, caring, compassionate and always at the ready to listen and act to the benefit of the patient. I've never felt like it was burdening him with my multitude of questions and concerns. Simply put, Dr. Karoub is who you want in your corner when it counts.
I love Dr.Karoub but the staff and wait time could use a little help. At my last appoitment I waited over 2hrs, when scheduling my next appoitment I asked if I'll be waiting again that long, the response simply was "well it depends on how many emergencies we take". Oh thanks for reassuring me that I'm not a priority. A simple apology, regardless if it was his/her fault would go a long way. Currently looking for a new office.
I actually really liked Dr. Fred and was pleased with his care and bedside manner, but his office staff was difficult to work with and somewhat rude. I was having discomfort so I called several times on a Monday and was put on hold each time. Hold times ranged from 10 to 40 minutes! I finally was able to leave a message for his staff but I never got a call back. The next day I tried again and it was more of the same (10 minutes on hold). Once I did connect the person was not apathetic.
