I thought about Dr.Cummings which he delivered my baby .I love him and his staff was great . He is the best Doctor in Texas .Thank you for great care!!!!

Greatest Dr of all time. I kid you not better than God. Absolutely a rare breed. Only problem I had was when he was on call for ladies who never saw a Dr during their entire pregnancy they didn't really see him until he expertly I must add delivered their baby and because he was black thought he was the janitor and asked him to clean the room. Now... what's wrong with this picture?!!

Dr. Cummings delivered my 12 and 10 year old. He popped into my head this evening and I’m happy to see that he’s still practicing. I wouldn’t be here writing a review for someone I haven’t seen in 10 years (I don’t live nearby) if I didn’t believe that person went above and beyond. I’m just now getting to right a review for Dr. Cummings, but better late than never. Dr. Cummings wasn’t my OB in 2019 but he was the Dr On Call when I went into labor. We live in the Houston area and we drove to Denton while in labor, not something I recommend but we did it and made it safely Thank God. I wanted to try for a Vbac and he and the entire Staff were so helpful and kind towards me. He made me feel extremely comfortable and I was allowed to labor on my own. Labor progressed but baby turned transverse and I ended up with another C-section. Even then, his care was amazing and the operation went so well. I highly recommend him, I knew if here my OB I would feel the same. I’m just now getting to right a review for Dr. Cummings, but better late than never. Doctor Cummings cared for me during my second pregnancy and delivered my second baby via C-section. He also cared for me during a silent miscarriage and performed a D&C operation to remove tissue and also removed an ovarian cyst. During the miscarriage, he was very empathetic and treated my husband and I with great dignity. During my following pregnancy when I was very nervous about losing the baby, he was once again kind and reassuring. He was clearly an expert in all of the procedures he performed on me and I healed very quickly because of the precision of the stitches. I truly cannot recommend him enough. Additionally, the hospital at which he delivers (Presbyterian) has a wonderfully kind and professional staff. Super positive experience!

The doctor was very informative, listened thoroughly and was very knowledgeable in more areas than just OB-GYN. He even offeeed additional tips and information outside of what I asked about. I’m genuinely impressed and grateful to have been referred to him.

Please be aware of the husband stitch from this doctor. I had a second degree tear after the birth of my baby, as he was seweing me it was extremely painful, i asked why and he said he "must not have used enough lidocaine". I dont know what he did to me but i waited 6 weeks to have sex again and the scar and tissue retore. The opening feels smaller than it did before I had my baby and a little longer (?), which i dont think that's normal? Almost like he must have cut more skin off before sewing? It took longer than normal to heal also. I'm 8 months out and this problem is only getting better because I started doing perineal massages, but for the first six months every single time I tried to have sex I retore down there, and it would take the next 2 or 3 days to heal again. When I went back to have it looked at he wanted to do another surgery, which I scheduled but honestly I lost trust after that and cancelled. I feel bad for not trusting the doctor but he did this to me without my permission or asking. Just be wary of this doctor. I got great prenatal care. I dont trust this doctor beyond that. Front desk is TERRIBLE. Ivy who answered my call kept demanding I give her my name and insurance. I didn't have my insurance card in front of me but was simply calling to find out if Dr Cummings was taking new patients as I just moved to Texas from the west coast and heard from a few people that he is great but is retiring soon. In hopes of finding a stellar OB for my 3rd pregnancy (after 2 c sections) I was obviously very interested in a doctor like this. Ivy was rude and very unfriendly and cold and was not at all interest in helping me understand if he was going to be taking new patients unless I told her my insurance information. I explained to her that I didn't have my insurance card with me, but I would change insurance if he didn't take mine, just to be his patient (if he was taking new patients) so it wouldn't be an issue. I am self employed and can change my insurance at any time. She was RUDE, DEMANDING, ATTITUDE FILLED and of zero help. Front desk is TERRIBLE. Dr Cummings is very lazy and doesn't care that much for the needs of a pregnant woman. When I reached my 8 month of pregnancy he did not allow any sono s for me and finally I had to have a c-section. The hospital staff also told me that my amino fluid was too low at the time of birth. Another doctor (my cousin 's) had monitored her sac fluid the whole time when he found out she has this problem via performing some Sonos. I think he is an unreliable, untrustworthy and lazy doctor who does not care that much for a mom-to-be !! Dr Cummings is very lazy and doesn't care that much for the needs of a pregnant woman. i saw a video of him doing a inversion while baby was on moms tummy . it was amazing.

He is as awesome as they come. But his billing dept is something to be desired. But love his office as a whole.

Dr. Cummings is a wonderful and patient Doctor. He takes time to answer questions and handles any problems that arise calmly, while keeping you informed. I asked to be transferred to his care completely at 39 weeks after my midwives had me all worked up for weeks stating I was hypertensive with bp that was 130/85 at one visit and after sitting me in a chair instead of on an exam table with no back or foot rest it went down to my normal of about 120/70. They continued for a few more weeks to tell me they were going to transfer care during labor if my bp got above 140/90 during delivery. So my husband and I decided to be transferred before delivery and we are so glad we did. Dr. Cummings didn't make problems where there weren't any and just simply stated we would handle anything that came up and he would monitor me closely but that there was no need to worry before there were any problems. That was a much more relaxing environment for my whole family and the right environment to bring our new little addition in to the world. Dr. Cummings is a wonderful and patient Doctor. Dr. Cummings is a wonderful doctor. His staff is nothing but great. He goes the extra mile to make sure you are okay. He offers help & suggestions to better your comfort. You can tell he really cares about his patients. He is very thorough and his demeanor is so calming that it puts your worries at ease. He supports a healthy lifestyle for life long solutions. He delivered 2 vbacs for me (2009 & 2012)....called today 6-6-2019 and he no longer assists vbacs. What happened?????

Dr. Cummings was very personable and made me comfortable on my first appointment in his office. Going into my surgery I felt positive and like I was being treated by a very good surgeon. Referred to him by my family physician with high praise.

In ‘16 I went to Dr. C for a VBA3C. He was the only OB that believed in and supported me. I ended up in a semi emergency CS due to placental abruption. This year (‘18) I tried again for a VBA4C and again he was just as supportive. I ended up in a CS due to severe adhesions on my uterus- but I was allowed to labor as I saw fit for 46hr with his full support. He is honest, informative, supportive and compassionate. He is amazing at his professionand the VBAC community will mourn his retirement

Dealing with high risk pregnancies, This is the only obgyn my husband and I trust. Worth the hour+ drive. Dr Cummings, Donna and his whole staff are amazing.

Dr. Cummings is the BEST! He is so calm, and compassionate. An his whole vibe is relaxing, and reassuring. I've had many bad experiences with almost all other medical Doctors. An I've since decided to only take the Natural route, and only see Holistic based Dr's. But there was one last thing that I needed to do before entirely branching off. I had a Bartholins Gland Cyst for about 8 years, and met with Dr. Cummings, and decided to have the Marsupialization Surgery. It was my first surgery so I was terrified. This is supposed to be a excruciating Surgery, so I was expecting the absolute worst. I had Surgery under General Anesthesia, and was sent home with pain pills. My Surgery was yesterday morning I only took 1 pill after coming home expecting there to be pain. I am not kidding when I say I have absolutely NO PAIN at all! An I don't even need the pills. AN the incision is so high up that you can't see it at all. Dr. Cummings did such an Amazing job, I am glad to have stumbled across such a great Doctor. This is how all Doc's should be! I read a lot of forums online of other peoples experiences, and I feel it's because they didn't have a good Doctor. I just switched to Dr. Cummings from another OB. I've seen him twice (once under duress) and this has to be the kindest man with the best bedside manner of any doctor I've experienced. His staff is lovely and his nurse is amazing. I can't say enough wonderful things about my experiences so far.

Doctor Cummings has performed multiple procedures on me and is a very understanding doctor who listened to my concerns. He’s a good listener. I would recommend him to anyone. He’s very compassionate.

Dr. Cummings birthed my twins and is the best OB i could ask for! His nurses are great and he really listens to concerns. He’s confident and definitely knows his stuff!

Dr. C was a great support to me during my vbac. He was always a calming presences and had complete and total faith in me and my abilities to give birth. He was completely honest about things but allowed me to make my own decisions regarding my care.

Dr. Cummings did my hysterectomy. From the first phone call to my follow up appointment, my entire experience was positive. The staff members were courteous and professional. Dr. Cummings was very honest and forthright, which I really appreciated.

I'm not sure if I can type this without tears, but here it goes. Dr. Frederick Cummings has been SUCH a blessing to my family. My husband and I have never had a doctor with so much patience and faith in God's perfect design of the woman's body. After 3 C-sections, I lost confidence in what God created my body to do and Dr. Cummings was exactly who we needed during my last pregnancy. We were praying and hoping for a VBA3C (Vaginal Birth After 3 C-sections), and it's almost impossible to do in this day. I truly believe the Lord placed us in the care of Dr. Frederick Cummings as an answer to prayers we prayed over 6 years ago when I received my first c-section. There were many times when I felt like taking the "easy way out" through repeat c-section, but each time Dr. Cummings would remind us of who we serve and would often encourage us with the words, "keep praying because we're going to do this." He would always tell us to get rid of the fear..., "no fear guys." He sent me to a perinatologist due to my previous child being a still birth, (which happened under the care of my previous doctor), and even when they would try and scare me into another c-section, all I would hear from Dr. Cummings is "no fear, keep praying". When everyone was freaked out about my pregnancy and birth history, he was the one person along with my Husband and myself to remain in Faith. Today I am overwhelmed with joy to say that with the help of Dr. Frederick Cummings, I had my very first vaginal birth on 5-15-15!!!!!!!! @ 10:42am. My baby boy was 9lbs 11oz and 21 in. With the help my dear Husband and all the God sent nurses who encouraged me every step of the way, I labored for about 19 hours (never feeling rushed) and with the blessed hands of Dr. Cummings, I pushed my baby boy out in less than 15-20 minutes. I am a patient on Dr. Cummings in the Denton office. I called his office on Tuesday explaining that I am in a lot of pain and need to see him for pain mgt. The first nurse Karen was really pleasant and appt me for Wed. morning however, I am a Program Director and forgot that my instructor wasn't coming work that morning and I had to cover for her.
