Just had my consultation with Dr. Melius. I have to say I am already so thankful to him! He gave me hope back in trying for another baby and eventually figuring out if I truly have endo or something else going on. He listened to me and actually heard me! Gave me explanations to everything and options. Asked myself and my husband what we wanted to do first (baby first or figure out pain and other things). Just the fact he didn’t dismiss me was a huge weight off my shoulders! Thank you for already giving me my hope back, and not dismissing my issues! Excited to see where the future takes us!

Dr. Melius is the most kind and caring physician I have ever been to. I appreciate the time he takes in each appointment and his clear explanations.

I have nothing but great things to say about Dr. Melius and the staff at Physicians for Women. Dr. Melius truly cares about his patients and clearly loves his job. He is so attentive, honest and nurturing. Love, love him! Wouldn’t dream of going anywhere else for my OB/Gyn care.

I had a very traumatic delivery with my twins whom he delivered and I truly believe we wouldn’t be here today if it weren’t for Dr. Melius and his whole team. I have been going to Women’s Health for many years and have always had great experiences with whatever life throws our way. They go above and beyond. Dr. Melius is wonderful and listened to all my concerns and provided very positive feedback. Great doctors!

Listens intently to patient’s concerns. Great personality and bedside manner. I started going to this clinic as Dr. Melius was highly recommended to me.

This clinic and Doctor Melius went above and beyond for me. I called in as a new patient with an acute problem and they got me in quickly. Doctor Melius bedside manner is outstanding and his level of empathy and knowledge within women’s health is extraordinary. I wish I could give six stars. Highly recommend!

I had a laparoscopy surgery to diagnose and treat what Dr. Melius thought was endometriosis. It was a very new thing and not many doctors had his great sense / knowledge at that time. I did end up having endometriosis, he used a laser to clear all of the implants, he explained to me what he found after surgery, even demonstrating the size of the tissue causing me so much pain. He explained everything he knew and was very gentle with me which is very important for a man dealing with female issues. The surgery was a game changer, I felt no pain after the healing process!! I did not like the western medicine treatment plan, so I followed Chinese medicine approach with diet and have found no issues until I eat dairy products. It clears up after I quit dairy again. I also don’t eat meat ever! Btw that surgery was back in 1998 and there were no reviews at the time, but my experience was great so when I thought to google him and saw he has 5 star reviews I felt compelled to say he was 5 star always!! I had my first son in February last year and it was a wonderful experience! Being a first time mom, I was very nervous but I felt very comfortable after joining Melius & Schurr. I was very well taken care of throughout my pregnancy as well as during labor. Any questions I had or concerns were immediately answered. Dr. Melius made my experience so amazing and I wouldn’t have wanted it any other way. He is an incredible doctor, I can not say it enough! I am now on my second pregnancy and look forward to having another great experience with Dr. Melius. Dr. Melius has a great sense of humor which helps make the not so fun visits in life more pleasant. He’s very informative and thorough, I always feel confident in his care. He delivered my 3rd kiddo who was a high risk pregnancy and he never hesitated to see me if I had concerns. I highly recommend Physicians for Women. Update- got to see him again for my annual just yesterday and he’s funny as ever. Dr. Melius takes the time to talk with you, listen to you and makes sure you don’t leave still having any questions. He is pleasant, respectful and I would recommend him to anyone!

Dr. Meius is the most caring knowledgable Dr. I've ever met I been seeking answers to my condtion and lack of successful pregnancies for decades and with in 2 visits he found out a major contributing factor. Scheduled me right away for surgery and fixed me right up. He makes you feel like family like you've known him forever! I will forever recommend Dr. Melius to everyone I know who need any ob help. I feel lucky to have found Dr. Melius. We moved to Madison during my 3rd trimester and I needed to find a new OB. It was a very stressful time but once I met him I instantly knew he was going to be a great match for us. I appreciate his bedside manner and that he truly listens. He’s great. Very knowledgeable and took the time to teach me about my “issues” and thoroughly went over all of my options. As an extra bonus he did all of this with a charming sense of humor. Much appreciated.

This was my first visit with Dr. Melius and I was nervous. He’s very easy going and calmed any nerves I had. He spent the time to get to know me and diagnose my issue.

Dr. Melius is the perfect blend of personality and professionalism. While an annual exam may not be too high on your to-do list, visiting someone like Dr. Melius is like going to see a friend who you can also ask very personal health questions to (and is qualified to answer!). Would definitely recommend!

I have never been more comfortable talking about my female concerns, than with Dr Melius! It’s not something women really talk about. I just thought it was part of getting older after having four kids! Never once did he rush through our appointment or make me feel like I was taking his time. I appreciate the personalized care and the genuine interest in my answer Dr. Melius has when he asks me a question. A doctor that spent much of my appt speaking negatively about women seeking IVF w/ “facial hair” and “clearly polycystic ovary syndrome” instead of focusing on my care. This doctor is so unprofessional I was sickened. Go elsewhere.

I left my last clinic that was like a factory. Dr. Melius diagnosed my problem was fibroids. He did my surgery as an outpatient. He is not only brilliant, but kind and has a sense of humor I didn’t know a doctor could have.

Best doctor I've ever had. My primary referred me to Dr Melius. He diagnosed a polyp and did surgery in his office and my problem is gone. I can't say enough about this amazing doctor!

Dr. Melius is awesome! I love him. He's incredibly smart, knowledgeable, kind, funny and personable. He does run behind, but that is because he spends so much time with each of his patients! Trust me, he's worth the wait.A friend referred me to him. Her insurance changed and when she found out that she couldn't see him anymore, she cried. He takes the time to explain everything to you. He is incredibly personable and so funny. I was very lucky to have him deliver my baby--it was an amazing experience.

Dr. Melius has a reputaion for being the best Ob/Gyn in Madison. I was self referred to him after floundering in another office. A physician friend suggested I see Dr. Melius. He is not only brilliant, but personal , kind and extremely thorough. His clinic is beautiful, modern, and comfortable.He did my surgery on my bladder as an outpatient. There was no pain at all! I felt so confident in his caring and skill.
