Dr. Franklyn R Gergits III

Beware of this doctor. I posted a similar review for his practice but people need to be aware of what they are signing up for with this guy. Very sloppy work and all they care about is money. Seems like the doctor only does surgery so the facility can optimize their cost structure. In our experience he will not meet with patients outside of surgery. My wife had a balloon dilation sinuplasty done here and while she was in for the procedure Dr Gergits decided to do nasal cautery - which we had not agreed to. The total cost of the procedure billed to insurance was discussed beforehand as $6,000 - $7,000 but because they added in the nasal cautery they billed almost $25,000! To make matters worse my wife now appears to have a hole in her septum! We've returned to the office twice with photos clearly showing the hole and the physician assistants try to gaslight us into believing there is no hole (the doctor doesn't really seem to care about his patients post-op so we only met with PAs). I'm honestly in shock they keep trying to deny there's a hole (see attached photo - you decide). Idk if they are really this incompetent or just afraid of a lawsuit - which we can't sue them anyways because medical malpractice lawsuits are prohibitively expensive in the state of AZ... On top of everything his staff failed to recognize the infection my wife was complaining about during the post-op visit and so she had to seek treatment from urgent care where they promptly put her on a dose of antibiotics.

Doctor Gergits is awesome. He has helped my sinuses. I trust him and he has a lot of knowledge.

I’ve had recurring sinus issues and vertigo for many years. My immunologist strongly recommended that I see Dr. Gergits. I have never been to a more impressive Dr.! He did an in office CT scan and spent over an hour putting it on a large screen showing me every angle of my scan explaining in detail why I’ve been having the issues I’ve had. I had severe infections in all of my sinuses which was very clear on my scan and no other Dr had diagnosed. He set up a treatment plan that is going to be able to permanently deal with the underlying issues for my repeat infections. I called with a question and I just received a call after hours from Dr. Gergits not a receptionist. Wow! Who knew an actual Dr will call you personally? The whole office staff is incredible. Terrible office staff. Doctor sent lab work to an unauthorized lab instead of in-network and now I'm getting a huge lab bill. Office manager never called me back after leaving several messages. Seems all this doctor cares about is money.

Where do I start?! Well, first let’s just say you need to stop looking around for an ENT and see Dr. Gergits. I have been trying to find an ENT online based on reviews and what people experience. From my experience, Dr. Gergits is more than 5 stars. He truly cares and understands you. He knows his stuff and will actually give you what most doctors won’t, time and bedside manner. He is passionate about what he does so you will be in great hands. I had an awesome experience with the front staff over the phone and in person. Terrible lack of follow through. I had a test completed and never heard back from the doctor. Staff said they missed seeing the results and promised the doctor would call that day (two weeks after the test). He never called. I am taking results to another doctor.

Had a procedure completed almost a year ago. I am quite aware that a relapse could occur. However, after attempting to contact his office after four calls, always going to voicemail and no one ever calling me back, I left a voicemail to have Dr Gergits call me directly. No response. Will never return and have told 5-9 people to give them a pass.

This is the best ENT in town! Their entire office explains everything thoroughly, takes time to make it personal, and is just all around awesome. They did a CBCT scan of my entire face in their office and showed me my sinus issues, slice by slice, answering any questions I had. It was wonderful.

I have suffered with sinus problems my entire life. The Sinus & Allergy Wellness Center has given me hope that I can lead a normal life without feeling miserable from sinus infections. All of the staff is so nice. They did a culture from my sinuses so that we know exactly what kind of infection we are dealing with. No other doctor has done this before! Then I had a sinus wash out to clean out the infection using an antibiotic wash specific to my infection. I feel so much better and I have not had to take any oral antibiotics. I highly recommend the center to anyone dealing with sinus problems! I have suffered with sinus problems my entire life. Dr. Gergtis and his staff are wonderful. I am two weeks post procedure with excellent results. Each day I am doing better. Dr. G explained everything to me, took the time to answer any questions and is a caring compassionate person. The staff is amazing, heather, leah, cinda and the others have the best customer service skills. The staff makes you feel welcomed and that you are their top priority. Awesome experience.Office staff outstanding and Dr, Gergits is outstanding! Knowledgeable, personable and relatable. His bedside manner is that of not only your physician but as though he is a friend looking out for your best interest. He is not at all like some many specialists that tend to come across as arrogant and above you. He cares about you and your concerns and you are put at ease almost immediately. One of the very best offices and employees ever. They treated me perfectly with dignity and respect. The entire staff was incredible. From the moment I walked in to the minute I left. Dr. Gergits was very friendly, thoroughly explained my procedure. He answered all of my questions completely. I never felt rushed through my appointment. His staff was also very friendly and helpful. They contacted my insurance, pharmacy and returned my calls in a timely manner. If I could give more than 5 stars I would!

Dr Gergits gave me a complete exam and explained possible causes for my condition...he is the best doctor i have ever seen....his office staff is wonderful and i highly recommend them...

My husband and I are so glad that he decided to open up his practice here. His experience, evaluation of symptoms, patience, explanations and procedures are so helpful to patients with Face and Ear allergy/sinus problems.

Made an appointment to see if Doc was a good fit for my 8yr old son. We were looking to do sublingual drops . After seeing the doctor for a new Pt exam and exam only ! We were billed 400$ when I asked the receptionist about the bill she could not provide me with information why it would be so high when I was quoted 200$ . She said maybe it was a difficult Pt -answer is NO , or maybe they did something extra ,answer is NO ..... We talked, he showed us around the office and we divided to schedule for allergy testing. Until I show up and see they charged 400$ for that new Pt exam ! I asked to see an itemized bill and they were stumped. After an hour of waiting they said they would have to talk to HR .. Wonderful experience----from the front desk staff to the very kind, extremely proficient PA, Katie, I highly recommend SAWC to anyone looking for an ENT. In addition, their charges were very reasonable for specialized medical care. They discussed possible charges and let me make the decision---definitely not the norm!

I’ve suffered from nasal allergies all my life. I became hooked on nasal spray when a Dr prescribed it at age 5. 60 years later and living in a dry dusty climate, it became even worse. Dr Gergitis performed a procedure called Post Turbinate Reduction which has helped very much. My nasal passages still swell occasionally if I’m in an allergic situation. However, I am much better. Had been suffering for several weeks with a dry cough. My GP gave me antibiotics and it still wasn’t improving. Found Dr. Gergits and he prescribed some other meds that did help me. Beyond that I was most impressed with his bedside manner. He not only tries to explain what is causing your issues but does so without being condescending. I was astonished by so many aspects of this wonderful facility! I went in for frequent sinus and ear infections, and had lost all taste and smell. I booked on Zocdoc and was phoned for a confirmation the day before my visit. I was informed of my charge, and told the staff looked forward to meeting with me. I had a CT scan right there in the office! Dr. G. came in and discussed my sinus issues and the plan for treatment in a very detailed manner, showing my images of my scan the whole time. If I had a question, he answered. If I was unsure about what I was viewing, he took the extra time to point out the area to which he was referring. He took cultures, which came back positive for infection, even though I went in when I was not stopped up or sniffly. The front office staff scheduled my surgery, explained my medications, and ensured I departed with all of the necessary information. Our whole family has seen ENTs for years, but we left them upon moving from Missouri to Arizona and then from Chandler to Phoenix. I have been having sinus related headaches and breathing problems for the last decade and had reached a point where I needed to do something about it as my quality of life was hurting. Was recommended to this office by my coworker who had been treated and operated on by Dr Gergits for his sinus cavity. Was able to promptly get in, diagnosed methodically, Dr. Gergits was the 3rd ENT I had seen in the valley. He wasn't interested in what the other ENTs I had visited said, he used his problem solving methodology starting at the beginning of my sinus problems and CT scan and provide his analysis and treatment recommendations. Dr. Gergits spent almost 45minutes with me going over what issues he saw and provided treatment options. He recommending going with a conservative procedure on my middle turbinate ballon plasty that yields excellent results while posing low risks to adverse issues. Also had a deviated septum. Two other ENTs I saw recommended doing a much more risky procedure, ie resection of the middle turbinate that could have led to life long issues of dried out sinus cavity and nose bleeds. I then had the procedure performed by Dr Gergits, he provided me with his personal cell phone number to reach out to him with any questions or concers post operation. Dr. Gergits genuinely seemed to care and treated me with respect. Aside from excellent customer service I received the results I long have wanted. Wish I would have done this procedure years ago. Was treated for sinus related headaches that had been impacting me for the last 10 years. Had seen two prior ent's that recommended performing middle turbinate resection. Dr. Gergits recommended and performed a much less risky procedure but very effective to reconcile, ballon sinuplasty along with correction of deviated septum. Received fantastic results, couldn't recommend Dr. Gergits more. In addition to providing excellent results he provided great customer service.

I was sent to Dr Gergits for treatment in 2003 for chronic sinusitis. Dr gergits has done several polyp removal procedures using only a local anesthetic. The next day I only had slight discomfort and could nonstrenous work. When my daughter was sent to him for recurrent nose bleeds at a very young age I was very pleased with his nonsurgical way of treatment.

My ENT doctor in Scottsdale, who I went to for 20+ years, retired and I have been going to Frank Gergits for several visits. His practice is state of the art. His diagnostic skills are thorough and he has the latest equipment. I thought my former doctor was exceptional ... until I met Frank. I eagerly recommend him.

1 month post op, I had turbinate reduction and balloon sinuplasty. Breathing is so much better and my wife says I no longer snore. Really I couldn't be happier. The Doc also told me I am not all the way healed yet, so I expect it to keep getting better. I glad I chose Dr. Gergits, he is a great Doc as well as very nice.

I was very satisfied with the outcome of my Surgery. Doctor Gergits preformed a Bilateral Myringotomy, for the pressure in my right ear that was causing dizziness. I could not work for about ten months, there was a lot of testing at the Geisinger Hospital, and no help. So I decided to have another ENT. Check my problem out I heard very good reviews from many friends that Doctor Gergits was a excellent ENT. All the staff at the Susquehanna Health ENT. Bloomsburg, Surgery center. Thank you.

Been waiting for a month to be seen by Dr Gergits. Then they cancel my appointment because of weather. Then when they schedule another appointment for me I have to wait another month to get in. It's ridiculous when you have pain and they don't care.
