I have been really dissatisfied with Dr. Hughes (hence the discontinuation of using him). He is not super nice, just barely decent enough to not say that he is mean. He is also VERY lacking in breastfeeding knowledge, despite being a pediatrician for decades, which I know is common, but at least some know when to refer the mother to get outside help. Too quick to revert to supplementation when not necessary (6% weight loss in a 3 day old). I don't recommend him if you want to be confident in your pediatrician's knowledge. We love him. Been with him for five years and no complaints.
Dr. Hughes loves his patients and is an outstanding pediatrician. My children love him and actually look forward to seeing him!!

We've lived in four states and currently reside in Texas, but Dr. Hughes is by far the best pediatrician we've ever had. His gentle nature coupled with his superb knowledge make him the perfect pediatrician, and if we had the chance to return, there is no place we'd be other than in his care. Our four young daughter's had the honor of being his patients, and we'd just like to thank Dr. Hughes and the entire Ark-la-Tex staff for the care they gave us for 5 wonderful years. Dr. Hughes is the best!
