Dr. Frank J Eismont

What speaks volumes about Dr. Eismont is that he was recommended to me by a spine surgeon in West Palm Beach. I live in Lake Worth and Dr. Eismont practices in Miami (a 1-1/2 hour car ride) but every visit to see him was worth the trip. Not only does he live up to his reputation as a brilliant surgeon, he is also unwaveringly kind and devoted to each of his patients.

Very glad I found Dr Eismont. He and his nurse Laura spent over 2 hrs listening to me, showing me my scans, and explaining my options for my lower back. I’ve never had a doctor give me that much time and care and it was truly refreshing. Consider yourself fortunate if you get to meet him

Tremendous experience and preparation, excellent way to communicate with the patient and thorough assessment of my condition and possible treatment options. Conservative approach based on decades of experience.

Dr Frank Eismont is a remarkable spine surgeon- one of the world’s best. I- an orthopedic surgeon over 40 years trusted him and only him to perform my 5 level cervical spine surgery for myelopathy with unbelievable outcome. In addition at the same time he did a left L4/5 Laminotomy for severe radiculopathy. I thank God I was in his hands.

Did neck surgery had pain, now is worse, loss of balance pain in arms, when I complained I was told to go to pain management .Did not want to take responsibility for his work will not recommend this doctor, not for surgery they only want to sell you a story about how well you are going to be an after your life, is miserable my life has become a nightmare an dismissing me went I complain by his cold assistant.

Left with more questions than answers.

My visit was very enjoyable. The staff was very professional and accommodating. I was late, but the staff made sure that my appointment was important. Dr. Eismont is one of the best doctors I've ever seen. I feel so fortunate to have found him for treatment of the herniated disc in my lower back. It is evident that he truly cares for his patients. He didn't rush me at all, asked meaningful questions about my history, eased my concerns, and answered all of my questions thoroughly. Cannot recommend him enough. His staff is exceptional as well! He saved my life

Dr. EIsmont is an amazing surgeon and human being. I was terrified to have a lumbar surgery due to herniated disc, but from the moment that I met Dr. Eismont he made me feel relaxed and confident. His surgical team were above and beyond with my anesthesia's concern. A special recognition for her exceptional work before and after the surgery on 08/21/2019 to Laurie Roberti (his assistant). “I trust this man with my life...and would refer him to my best friend. Dr. Eismont is a genius when it comes to Orthopedic Spine Surgery. I highly recommend Dr. Frank Eismont and his team at the University of Miami Spine Institute. They have a unique ability that is rare; which includes knowing how to comfort you as a patient getting prepared for surgery to not only feel but down deep inside to actually know that you are in the best of hands. After surgery is when you really understand how committed and fully devoted Dr. Eismont and his whole team is to the success of your procedure. During my post-surgery I was always kept informed of my progress and what I should expect on a daily basis. If I had any questions or concerns they were always very quick to respond. This is my second surgery with Dr. Eismont and I have to say that Ms. Laurie has been such a vital and significant part of the support that I have received through both of my surgeries with Dr. Eismont. Dr. Eismont is an excellent doctor. The nurses take extra care to review your medical history and current issues before the doctor comes in to speak with you. Dr. Eismont spends a significant amount of time with you as a patient, looking over your records and test results and explaining in detail his opinion and a treatment plan.

Writing this with an understanding that Lumbar fusions are risky I have to say that Dr. Eismont destroyed my Mothers back. He fused her entire lumbar spine and then refused to approve physical therapy. After 6 months of just sitting and occasionally walking up and down the driveway as he directed she became so weak that she is unable to move and remains bent over in an "L" shape. She is now stuck in a wheel chair. My suggestion is to continue looking for another option.
