The Staff is Nasty, & Rude AF(don’t request copies of your records-the old bat had me file a complaint with HHS for refusing to give me my health record)! After having R foot 1st digit pain for a yr, and being consulted by numerous Orthopedics MDs. I finally scheduled an appt with Dr Castagna, and I am glad that I did. He took x-rays and gave me an injection, which provided much needed relief. However, while leaving I did have an unfriendly exchange with his front desk staff, who made me pay a copay(when I know I didn't have a copay). They were using an website to verify insurance information, and the website information was outdated and incorrect. Needless to say, they ended up having to send me a check (yah!) Great Doctor with a sense of humor!

I had a great experience with Dr. Cartagena and his staff. They got me in quickly, we’re very helpful, considerate and concerned about my problem. I was nervous but quickly I was at ease. Thank you.

I went in because I smashed my toe causing an ingrown toenail on the left side of my big toe. Dr. Castagna informed me the right side of my toe looked as if it was at risk to be ingrown as well. He recommended I had both sides cut and cauterized (the right side as a preventative measure). Although the right side never gave me an issue and didn't seem like it ever would, I agreed because of his recommendation. The left side healed properly and the right side grew back ingrown and is now infected. I called his office and let them know what happened. They said they would get back with me. The only time I ever heard from them was when my copay came back and they wanted me to pay it. I had to pay double since I got both sides done. So because of his recommendation I paid double (about $500) and now have the same issue I came in with on the other side of my toe. Mistakes happen and that's fine, but how unprofessional to never return my call and not make it right. I would never recommend anyone to this office. Anyone with integrity would have fixed their mistake, but clearly they were only concerned with money. Lucky for them my credit is excellent or I would have never paid! Now I'll have to find another doctor to go pay again to fix something that was never messed up to begin with. New patient. 2 toe problems. Christmas eve appt & New yrs eve apt. Nurse Shelia is very kind & understanding. I thought the Dr was great. He's blunt & honest. I actually like that in a Dr. Both procedures went great. Clear after care instructions with follow up apts. Wait time was short & Dr comes in rt away once you're in the exam room. I trust the Dr. & I will not ever wait to take care of foot issues ever again. Before this, I was terrified of going to a foot Dr. Ast thing: I really like the spunky front desk lady. Came down with a 2cm hole under my (L) great toe. After multiple debridements I finally developed blood poisoning, My heart reacted different way.

Didn't help me much. Was more interested in goofing off, acting weird and using foul language than giving permanent relief.

Helped with my issues. I will go back

My father came to see this doctor; I was simply appalled by his atrocious bedside manners, it was a crying same. He came in and said you are going to have to leave if you keep screaming. He said put something over his mouth. Well, if you don't give anything for pain what do you expect for crying out loud. He also talked about my father when they were leaving to a nurse, and said he sounded like a child. Frank you are piss poor to sorry for a doctor, where in the hell did you get your human relations skills. Never, ever, will we visit your office ever again, you need to re-visit a school for human relation management training, and you need to put a muzzle on your nasty disrespectful trap. Diane J. If I could give no stars I would but it won’t let me. What kind of a doctor yells at an old man and tells him to cover his mouth! ( when you hurt it’s automatic to cry out in pain) Then goes an tells his nurse that old man can’t hear worth a Sh**. Well got news for you! This old man lost his hearing in a war to protect and serve this country! If you love your parents or you are old BEWARE! DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR UNLESS YOU LIKE BEING VERBALLY ABUSED! Doctor Castagna and his staff are professional and very friendly.

Very knowledgeable, efficient, dry sense of humor. Have seen him several times for different issues. Always with excellent results.

This doctor needs to find a new profession! He was legitimately mean to me during treatment. I received a shot in my foot and it was painful. I let out a short scream for which I was reprimanded by him. He said "Shut your mouth! Put your hand over your mouth! Only kids scream when they get shots... I should have known when you walked in here that you were going to be a screamer!" I have had many shots, IVs, blood drawn, etc. Normally I don't scream. Doctors, please show kindness towards us!

Concern regarding infection control practices as evidenced by not washing hands nor doning of gloves when opening sterile instruments and touching patient wound site. When questioned the staff member became enraged and defensive.

Frank Castagna has destroyed my life. He crippled me after what he said would be a simple surgery ( nothing to it ) he said ( I would never have anymore pain from my plantar fasciitis ) He was so wrong. I had the surgery and he cut nerves that didn't need to be cut and he crippled my right foot as my toes stand stright up preventing me from ever wearing any type of shoes ever again.. I went to an orthopedic surgeon praying for corrective surgery. The Doctor called castanha in a sarcastic Manor ( The Great castagna ) He said he repaired more of his so called surgery than his own as he looked up at my X-rays. After the second surgery praying he would be able to fix my foot back like it was before the Dr looked in my eyes with sadness the damage was done there was nothing he could do he was sorry he said. I went home broken now I knew my life would never be the same again. I now have a horrible disease called RSD CRPS 2 with a spinal cord stimulator to help me with my pain it's hell on Earth but does Frank Castagna care? No !!! He lawyered up as all dirt bages do. I'm now on a walker the pain is so bad there are days I don't even get out of bed. I'm 61 years old I can't spend time with my grandkids do anything that I used to do not able to work not able to care for my home but does he care? NO !!! He called me a pathetic loser as I walked out that last day still on crutches. What has happened to our doctors I thought it's been 6 years how could this so called Doctor not have called me and at less say I'm sorry. Would that be to much to ask he took my life from me and he can't even say he is sorry as he still enjoying his life. Shame on you Dr Castagna when you get to heaven and look Jesus in the face what are you going to say to him??? Advice- New Patient Appointment Plan accordingly. Instructed to check in at 7:30am and Doc casually walks in just before 9am. Already 1 hour behind with his 1st NEW Patient of the day.

Dr. Frank is a well qualified podiatrist, in 1986 he removed bones in my toes that were causing me to walk crooked. His bedside manners are impeccable!. In 2010 Frank also removed ingrown toenails from my right foot, and It was no pain and I get lots of complements on my feet.

Very concerned regarding infection control practices of this office as exhibited by the lack of any observed hand washing nor doning of gloves prior to opening of sterile scalpel and setting up for procedure. When questioned the staff member became enraged and said she had been doing this for years and had taken inservice when required regarding when to wash hands.

He is the best foot doctor that I know.

In 2010, Frank worked on my ingrown toenail for me. He had to be the best Dr. I had ever met. The experience was like having a friend do the procedure for you, thanks doc, your the best.

From scheduling the appt, to the doctir, I was pleased. I called to schedule as a new patient. I got in that same week. Very friendly staff. The doctor was funny. And very knowledgable. He told me what was wrong and what I needed to do. I will only see him for my feet

While I was under doctor's care, I called on a Thursday morning to report intense pain left message. No one returned call. I called back 4 hours later and was told that they were leaving the office for the day and I should go to a ER. No one has bothered to follow up my message next day either.

Very rude staff. They talk amongst each other and do not even acknowledge you are standing at their closed window. The 1st visit I was a new patient and had no clue what they needed. I read their notes posted all over the window to determine what I needed to do. Extremely unprofessional! The doctor is knowledgable but I believe they get their arrogance toward their patients from him as he is quite arrogant as well. I own several businesses and this is the worst customer service I have ever seen!
