I would like to see Dr Bono open a surgical center in Sarasota Bradenton area because Tampa is 1 hour away. It is hard to find someone to drive that distance and wait for the patient to go home.

I had been in pain for NINE YEARS, always there. I could not walk or stand and talk to people more than 10 minutes because of the pain. Did it all: Chiropractor, Aspirin, Exercises, Physical Therapy. One of my doctors who is also a surgeon had Dr. Bono operate on him and he was happy. Heck, chosen by another surgeon and tired of my pain I called BioSpine and requested Dr. Bono. Now, three weeks after the surgery I AM A THRILLED CAMPER! Far as the surgery, I can't report on it as I slept through the entire adventure!

My first visit to the Institute went well. The staff was friendly and helpful, and also very efficient. On my second visit, I met Dr Bono. He was very serious, and all business. I liked this, because I wanted a top notch surgeon, and bedside manner was of little importance to me. On surgery day, the surgical center was running very efficiently, like a well oiled machine. Dr Bono made no small talk; he had his game face on. Surgery went well. I was in at around 10:30 and out by 2:00. No pain. At my 2 week follow up, Dr Bono was relaxed and friendly; he even smiled. All was well. I don’t know if the surgery was a complete success yet, but so far, it is much better. An Ole general practitioner once told me, “never mind your surgeons bedside manner, you want a good surgeon. “Dr Bono is that, and then some. Dr Bono and the BioSpine Institute is beyond good. They have my highest recommendation.

This was the most precise medical experience in my life. And with my age of 86 years, I had plenty of opportunities to compare.. Using his minimally invasive approach, Dr. Bono performed a triple layer laminectomy via only one small incision. After the two hour surgery I was able to walk out of his office on my own, without assitance. Not only that Dr. Bono´s successful operation went exactly as predicted, but the entire process from initial examination to final aftercare (nurses, therapy) was totally pre arranged. I did not have to care for anything except my well being. Thank you Dr. Bono for making my life meaningful again.

Dr Bono recently performed a Laminectomy on me. Never have I experience such professionalism as I have with Biospine. They showed a very high example of friendliness and interest in making patients feel very comfortable. This was my second round with Dr. Bono. Would I recommend him again? You bet I would and in fact, I have told several friends and neighbors about him. I feel he is very interested in my well being and extremely confident. He doesn't push a program on you, he explains the procedure and in my case even gave me the option to do a limited repair. I am a 72 year old female and have always been very active and physically fit. I love going to the gym, or being outdoors golfing, biking and lots of walking. Years ago I started with back pain. Chiropractors, Acupuncture, massages, and Physical Therapy helped only short term. I finally reached a point where I could not enjoy my activities without considerable pain in my lower back and legs. The BioSpine Institute staff was great and assisted me with all my needs. Dr. Bono is a great surgeon. Upon my visit to have the surgery I was in a great deal of pain and after the surgery was completed the pain level was almost minimal. The follow-up staff of nurses/physical therapist were very professional and caring. I am very satisfied with my surgery and also want to mention that the Spring Hill staff is great!

The doctor was rude and unfriendly. I could not say a word. The front staff was great. He had the nerve to charge my insurance over $800.00 for the visit, plus over $300.00 for x-rays.

No pain after surgery. I am back to sleeping in a bed and walking around a few days after my surgery. Dr Bono and his team exceeded my expectations. I thought I would be in pain and debilitated for weeks. That was not the case.

Dr, Bono and all the staff were nothing but first class folks to work with. It was obivious that all of these people were well trained and on top of the class in taking care of my back pain. Pro org offering unique solution. Office visit lengthy and detailed. Dr. Bono professional and direct. Surgery entailed Laminectomy L3, 4 and 5. Astonishingly positive results. Dr. Bono, 10/10, BioSpine 9/10. If I needed future services in this area of specialty, Dr. Bono will by my choice of Surgeon for any procedure.

Dr. Bono saved my life twice - once for a herniated disc and the second time for L5-S1 spondylolisthesis accompanied by stenosis and a fracture. His skill is amazing, a gift beyond my comprehension. I am only 2 weeks past the fusion, and with ice and walking and patience, I am healing. It is up to you to listen to what he tells you to do and then do it, even if it hurts. It is only temporary pain necessary for healing. It is, after all, surgery. But his minimally invasive technique is far less painful than traditional surgery. The initial pain I had before surgery is gone! If you want the best and most honest solution for spinal pain, your answer is Biospine.

I had a herniated disc and after having back pin and sciatica since November 2020 and two cortisone shots with no relief I was able to get the laminectomy that would resolve my issue from the second I woke up after surgery!! Unfortunately Biospine wanted to force me to further damage my body with X-rays, even when I already have an open an a closed MRI's done. Shame.

I came to this place being the 4th different place I’ve gone to try to get some help with 2 ruptured discs on my back I’ve had for 2 months. Dr. Bono saw me and that same day he had a plan and I was under the knife and back in my feet in a few weeks. These guys are miracle workers!! 2 and a half months of excruciating back and sciatic nerve pain all gone in a week and some days!!

This place is a joke. No one answers the phone and after requesting several return calls and emails i got nothing. In addition, the staff and surgical people were very rude. They dont understand that we dont understand everything but assume we do and talk down to us. I overheard the doctor cracking racially charged jokes which I dont think was very funny nor polite. I have heard from a friend that they reuse mask in the past for the patients which I just think is really nasty. I ended up going else where and had my surgery and the first thing they did was test us for covid. My friend went through with these people and was never tested. A time like this i would think you would want certainty for both the staff and the patient. Managers are a joke as well as they never seem to care to talk to the unhappy patients....seems like they taught the staff well. Highly recommend against going here!

Went in to surgery 8:30 had so much pain, I was home by 12pm from surgery and my pain was gone! Now am just healing ?? Thank God for Dr Bono DO bless him and his family

I had a really bad herniated disk from hockey. The daily pain ( 10 months ) was extremely hard. I flew down from Canada to get this procedure done and fast track it. Amazing staff amazing Dr was quick, well organised and no pain. Highly, highly recommended.

I could not walk 10 feet for 6 weeks as I had a pinched sciatic nerve due to a herniated L5. One specialist wanted me to wait another 4 weeks, after doing a failed nerve block, before having anything else done. Then I Found Dr. Bono. Had an appointment on 8/20/20 and had a laminectomy on 8/26/2020. Total time at the surgery center was less than 3 1/2 hours, and I was able to walk out without any pain for the first time in 6 weeks. Since 8/26/2020 the recovery has been great, very little or no pain, which was managed with just an over the counter pain relief for the first 24 hours.

I was so desperate to feel better.....AND I was not disappointed. I had a laminectomy and have NO FURTHER PAIN in my back. I have had some nerve pain from the nerves swelling after being trapped. Dr. Bono called me himself, we discussed how I was feeling and he prescribed medication to relieve the swelling. I felt valued as a patient and appreciated the personal attention I received when I was hurting. I completely trust Dr. Bono and felt like he took excellent care of me before my surgery, during the surgery, and certainly after the surgery.

I have now had two surgical procedures performed by Dr. Bono, L5 S1 fusion 2 years ago and C4/5 fusion 3 weeks ago. Both surgeries gave me immediate relief from my pain, and very minimum discomfort during the recovery process. Dr. Bono is a an amazingly skilled surgeon. Bio Spine is very unique, in the fact that they provide support for patients through every step of the process and you are contacted personally by your concierge, and following surgery you have direct access to the surgical nursing staff. I am very thankful that Bio Spine is located in my local community.

I waited six weeks to post a review to see how well I healed. I still have some back pain, but I am much better than before the surgery. I have more movement and I can stand straight for the first time in ages. I had suffered for six years without getting enough relief. I will continue to gain mobility for some time, but thank all the staff with BioSpine for helping me recover.

Went in a bit nervous about the whole procedure. Had a laminectomy at my L5 to s1 on July 15, 2020. No pain at all, just a bit sore at the incision. Used prescribed pain meds only once. Hardest part is wearing the back brace all day. Other than that I would say every visit and every person that I came n contact with was very professional, from the office staff to over at the surgery center. Dr. Bono always asked if I had any questions or needed him to explain, anything to me prior to,my procedure. I would highly recommend Bio Spine to anyone having any kind of back problems. Would definitely be back if any problems arise again.

I would urge anyone who Is anticipating back surgery to, at the very least, get a 2nd opinion from Dr Bono at Biospine. I did just that in June and selected him to perform a laminectomy on my L4-5 In July. I am so glad I did. He us a true professional and is surrounded by an outstanding staff. Every since the first visit, I have received the best of care within a very pleasant and friendly environment. The staff was very courteous and helpful and I felt very at ease with the steps leading up to my surgery. After years of disc problems one ruptured in Jan 2020. I saw Dr Bono and after reviewing my x-ray identified the disc's in question (L5-S1) and recommended laminectomy surgery. I am 8 weeks out from surgery and the difference is quite noticeable. Although I still have some sciatic pain it's at a bearable level. As time goes by I hope it continues to improve. I would also like to complement the two Surgical Concierge's assigned as my liaisons - Brittani Gallegos and Marcell Valentine. They were my contacts and were able to answer any questions I had in a timely manner. Most times within minutes!!!!

Dr Bono is straight to the point. More importantly he’s an excellent surgeon. He fixed my extreme back and leg pain. I’m extremely grateful.

Prior to contacting Bio Spine, I spent 6 days a week for 3 weeks seeing a chiropractor. I did receive some relief but not enough to live with. I decided my next step was to check out Bio Spine and I'm grateful that I did. In spite of dealing with safe distancing requirements, every meeting schedule was met. Their personnel are professional, well trained, and made sure that I was comfortable with all discussions regarding my potential surgery. After they reviewed my X-rays and MRI, I made the decision to proceed with having the surgery done. I met with Dr. Bono and discussed how the surgery would take place and what the typical recovery would be like. It's been 9 days since my surgery. I walked out after my surgery pain free. In the past nine days I experienced a little pain but was assured that it would subside and it has as of the writing of this review. I would highly recommend to anyone that they give Bio Spine an opportunity to evaluate their condition to see if they could help.

I would recommend BioSpine to anyone with back problems. The incision itself compared to traditional incisions is drastically smaller for those in need of surgery . The process was smooth and any questions I had, outside of the research I had done beforehand, were addressed and they made sure I was comfortable. The office staff, doctors, and everyone else involved did their best to make it and easy transition. So far recovery has been outstanding! Now it's all about taking care of the back and making sure doctors orders are followed to prevent mishaps in the future.

I recently had an ACDF operation done on 4/22/2020, in which was my first surgery ever. Dr. Bono and staff did an excellent educating me on the procedure and reassuring me that I was in good hands.
