I had a neck injection performed by Dr. Bender and he was able to perform the procedure when 2 other doctors couldn't get the needle/medicine into the right area. Now, I'm coming back for another injection and I'm so blessed Dr. Bender is available to perform the procedure.

Very professional and caring staff. I highly recommend Dr. Bender for medical issues.

Everyone was so nice, from check-in to departure. The staff and Dr. Bender were attentive and truly listened to what I had to say. It gave a family friendly feel which in today’s busy times is rare. When you are experiencing medical issues and lots of different appointments, an experience like this one is refreshing.

Dr Bender is easy to talk to understood what I was trying to convey

I am very satisfied with my visit !! All of the Staff made me feel very comfortable, my questions & concerns were handled professionally & "spot-on" . My care needs (at the time of my visit) were met & continue. Dr.Bender is very compassionate, professional & informative .

Dr. Bender is the best!! I am so glad I went to him. He had me convinced the first time I talked to him that he would make my back and leg better and and he did just that!! I would recommend this doctor to everyone. Also his great staff, from the front desk to the operating room. No more wheelchairs or cane thanks to all of you!! ????❤️

Dr Bender really listened to me and I plan to get done what he recommended.

Dr Bender took the time to listen to my concerns. He genuinely seems to care about his patients.

When I first started going to the Orthopedic Center I was very impressed with the way things were done there. With the pain I was in ñin my back I was looking for something to help me. That is why I found with Dr. Bender. His treatment of my back as given me the relief I had hoped for for some time. I appreciate the center and all the Dr. I see there. I injured my back on 12/4. Pain worsened and went to Springfield Clinic Urgent Care in Sherman 12/8. Was prescribed Tamarol and Predisone. Not much help. Had scheduled visit 12/10 with GP. He prescribed a muscle relaxer which was no help. On 12/13 GO prescribed Hydrocodone/Acetamiophen for seven days and got appointment with Dr. Bender for 12/21. Saw Dr. Bender and he said MRI would be needed. Would advise when scheduled. He did not add to any medication. Did not hear from office on 12/21, 12/22 or 12/23. Called afternoon of 12/23 and was told they forgot to get MRI scheduled. I'm still experiencing pain and discomfort and it is difficult for me to stand for more than 10 seconds or walk more than 50-100 ft.

Highly recommend Dr. Bender

My first visit. Everyone was very prompt and friendly.

Went there hoping to get some answers because with all the other doctors we have seen about this problem, no one has really given my husband any treatment options that have helped him. Dr Bender gave us information on 2 treatments he can try to relieve some of the pain my husband is having. No guarantees but sounded optimistic.

Had an EMG preformed. Dr Bender was a true professional. He explained everything that was going to do. Very pleasant.

I always have a positive visit with Doctor Bender, always have every question answered , takes time for any concernsI will recommend Dr Bender to family, friends, and others. Is always given appointment even on a very busy schedule when needed.

Dr.Bender was super thorough and very approachable. He has a great personality and seems to really care about your problems. Great visit.

Dr. Bender is so very nice. Office manners make you feel very comfortable. I like a doctor who has a sense of humor, he fits that really pleasantly. His knowledge is very wide as he knows the answer or he will find out for you.Glad to do this survey for him. I rate him top star.

The staff was very friendly and got me in to see the doctor in a short amount of time.

Hi My Name is Tammy I want to put this out there I’m 56 yrs. old I had Headaches all My life, then they turned in to Migraine’s, then I call them episodes after the migraines stop I start to have 4 Symptoms one right after another I Called them Episodes, like I said episodes I’d feel really strange in my head I can’t really describe it, it wasn’t dizzy feeling, it was worse then being Dizzy, I just know it wasn’t right then I would get violently ill to my stomach, then I felt like somebody set me on fire, it felt like I was burning a live and then the last was I didn’t know who I was I had no idea who anybody was around me my children my husband at the time I didn’t even know myself, it got very scary I would be driving these things will come on next thing I would know I’m sitting beside the road hours have gone by don’t have a clue what I did, what I had done, But not one doctor could find what was going on with me until I met Frank Bender Dr. Frank Bender, this man Dr. Frank Bender saved my life in 2008 he was the only one that had found out what why I was having these episodes after thousands and thousands of dollars in medical bills so many doctors he was the only one that found out what was wrong with me I had bone spurs on my C5 and C6 The we’re cutting the Oxygen and Blood off to my Brain, Needless to say I was in surgery the next day he had informed me that within a half of the week I would’ve been dead my family would’ve been planning a funeral My Funeral, To hear that come out of the doctors mouth it’s terrifying, this was in Terre Haute Indiana 12 years ago where he used to practice at, now he is in Springfield Illinois which that is why I’m on here because I started having migraines again blackout spells just like I did before I traveled all the way to Springfield Illinois to see that man for him to save my life again, believe in him whoever sees him believe in him he is a Great Great doctor, you know how they go on essay rate your pain submit a number there is not a number high enough that I could give this man because he is good he is a God sent thank you Dr. Bender Dr. Frank Bender orthopedic center of Illinois. I have found the entire staff of OCI to be friendly snd professional. Dr Bender is easy to talk to. I have multiple issues in my neck and Dr. Bender was able to help with epidural injections. It’s not a fix but it helps until I am settled down and ready for a surgery.

Dr. Bender is a very nice man who clearly wants to help me get out of pain. He listened to my concerns, carefully reviewed my images, and asked what steps I was comfortable taking next. He didn’t push me toward surgery and is trying more conservative measures first, which I appreciate. He clearly explained some options moving forward. I will definitely see him again.

I had my first visit with Dr. Bender. Very friendly and knowledgeable. He seems to know what he is doing. He diagnosed my problem right off the bat after examining me. I will be seeing him again in two weeks. His office staff were very friendly and helpful also.

He is patient and explains things very well. I would definitely recommend him.

He spent I kid you not 2 minutes in the office with me after I drove over and hour and a half to see him for back pain I’ve been experiencing for over 5 months. I had to ask the nurse for him to come back in the room so I could ask questions because he didn’t give me time to process what he was saying.

I have seen Dr. Bender before and he has treated my husband. I always thought him to be knowledgeable and very friendly. However on my recent visit he was running behind and told me so and said he did not have time to talk to me. I was able to stop him long enough to have him prescribe some pain medicine and he ordered an mri and said he couldn’t tell me anything until I had that done and off he went. I have to wait ten days until I can get the mri and then more time for him to look at it and then book an appointment. Very discouraged. At least the pain medicine is giving me some relief.

If i could have gave a no star rating, I would have. Saw this guy in Litchfield and I would not, I repeat, would not see him. He started the visit with " "I am not a surgeon, if you want to see a surgeon I can refer you to one" no hi hello when he walked in the room. Then after that little statement he said, so why are you here today? What? Really you havent looked at my MRI or chart. Ive only been waiting 5 weeks to get a appointment with you. I dont have enough room to tell the whole story,

Dr Bender is very knowledgeable and personable. I received two injections for spinal stenosis in lower back and barely felt the injections. Dr Bender is highly skilled in performing this procedure. He treats patients with respect.

I would recommend Dr. Bender to anyone needing pain management of the cervical spine which is what my problem was. He was confident in his approach and treatment. He explained procedures and answered all my questions. He took whatever time was needed to make sure I understood everything. He exemplified how a physician-patient relationship works best. His staff seemed very caring and efficient.

Good Dr. But still waiting for MRI

As a retired physician myself, I assure you that Medicine is both an Art and a Science. All doctors have mastered the science, but only a few master the art - the delicate artistic manipulation of needles inserted deeply under X-Ray guidance and hitting the exact target each time, as Dr Bender regularly does. He truly is a Doctor's Doctor and I recommend him to anyone and everyone in need of pain relief. He is the Exemplar - the Highest Standard to which all others are compared to.

Dr. Bender had wonderful bedside manner, took our concerns seriously and worked so hard to communicate with the insurance company to make sure everything was covered.

Dr. Bender checked my previous record with another doctor, who had since left, and agreed with the successful treatment. He gave me an injection in my back and relieved the pain I was experiencing. I was very thankful that he was willing to give me the injection that had been so successful in the past.
