Dr. Franco Musio

Dr. Musio is one of several doctors who saved my life. I have amyloidosis, a blood disorder that can be hard to diagnose. He did the right tests and helped me get to the right specialists. He is easy to talk with, hard working, and very kind.

I personally like Dr. Musio but have a couple of issues with him. Between my appointments 3 to 6 months, they moved the office and did not tell me. I have had to wait up to an hour several time for my appointment. One time I waited over an hour for my appointment, and when he finally saw me he spent maybe 5 minutes with me. It was like he was trying to catch up with this appointments. I wrote a complaint letter to the office and never got a reply. I had an appointment in January and he ga

I had an appointment in Jan 2018 and he gave me 2 lab orders - one for once a month & another for before my next appt. in May. I somehow misplaced the orders & was told to contact the main office. I have written 2 letters (I cannot hear on the phone) to get copies of the orders. So far I have not heard from them & will have to cancel the appt. because I cannot get the lab work done. It is difficult for me to hear on the phone but I will have to call the office and struggle to hear.

Arrogant pompous physician; practices based on 'feeling' instead of evidence based medicine

Dr. Musio is very personable and willing to spend plenty of time with a patient to understand their specific situation. I met him recently while I was a patient at INOVA Fairfax Hospital and I intend to follow up with him as my personal physician.
