Get in, get out very fast. He takes his time with every patient.

We've been seeing Dr Salcido since he was over by Target, so that's a very long time. It seems the bigger his offices get the worst patient relations get. The PA's are always nice and help with all questions, especially Romero and Garcia. You don't even get to actually see Dr Salcido anymore!. Now the up front staff, that's a totally different story. Those ladies are down right rude, they act as if you actually bother them cause you're there. Times have changed and tempers are short, but if you can't work with people, then you shouldn't. We had a confirmed appointment with Romero , when my husband shows up, he's informed she's not there that day. WTH, appointment was at 10:30 they open at 8 in the morning but didn't have the courtesy to call and inform us she wasn't there. He missed a day of work for that appointment. If you don't show up for your appointment they charge you, but it's okay for them not to inform patients when they're scheduled with a particular doctor and that doctor doesn't show up! They wanted him to see a doctor that was there and my husband said he specifically asked for Romero since she knew what was going on with him. The girl up front just said "well you can see doctor so an so or not be seen!!" That's great customer! Dr. Salcido has so many Spanish speaking patients and he's open on Saturdays which is very convenient, which is why he's always so busy. But the girls up front, really need some training in customer service and a little empathy . And you have to constantly call to get lab results back, or to get a call for referrals.

I was referred to a specialist a week ago. I called the specialist, and they said I was not on their referral list. As a result, I called Dr. Salcido's office and let them know. A few days later, the specialist received my referral but stated, "we can't set up an appointment because you need additional testing before we can see you. Your physician knows this, so I am not sure why they referred you in the first place." I called Salcido's office and informed them. They stated they would tell the nurse and have her call me back. Several days passed, and I never received a call, so I decided to take it upon myself and make a new appointment to get the additional testing they required. I go to my appointment, and the nurse says, "Oh, we don't do those tests here." I told her the receptionist failed to mention that when I made the appointment, which was the only reason for my visit that day. She put me in a waiting room. As I waited, I received a call from Dr. Salcido's office telling me that the specialist required additional testing and asked if she could refer me to someone else. I said that would be fine, that I was currently in the office, so we hung up. The N.P. comes in, and I tell her again that I just came in for that additional testing the specialist required. She proceeded to send me to a new specialist, just like the lady from the same office was going to do over the phone a few minutes ago. I go to checkout, and they want to charge me $80. I asked why when all they did was refer me again. If they had referred me correctly in the first place, I wouldn't have had to come back. She states it's a "consultation." However, it did not constitute as a consultation over the phone. I pay and leave. I decided to call and speak to a manager, to which she stated, "I'm going to have to see what happened and call you back." Unsurprisingly, days later, I have yet to get a callback. Now, whether this office is interested in patient care or making a quick profit off of you, well, I'll let the public decide for themselves.

Your receptionist is the first impression your office has and she is anything but empathetic. Cuts me off with repetitive words because she’s to good to hear what anyone has to say. She’s probably related to someone there seeing that this isn’t the first time I’ve had to deal with her, but you see the bad ratings. Sometimes you gotta cut the cord. Everyone else is kind and reassuring and I’m sure it’s because they know how wretched this old lady is.

3 stars at best. Staff overall is unfriendly. Nice building. The care overall really leaves much to be desired. There is a reason the reviews here are not great.

⭐️Waste Of Time⭐️ I recently moved to Texas from Pennsylvania as part of a transfer I accepted with my employer in January. I knew that I'd have to find a new PCP as my employer and health insurance company usually suggest that I have a yearly check-up (Just the basics like BP and blood test etc.). I found this family doctor through my insurance company and was immediately impressed by how soon they could set up an appointment (Especially for a Saturday). I guess if it sounds too good to be true it is too good to be true. I arrived a few minutes before my scheduled appointment knowing there would be plenty of paperwork to fill out. Once completed I turned it all in to the receptionist and took my seat. A few minutes later I was informed there was one medical condition I had listed which they didn't treat (Totally understandable, and the receptionist was really helpful with finding references for another doctor.) I again took my seat, after some more time passed I was called up again to be informed I wouldn't be seen because they didn't treat this one medical condition (Slightly annoyed due to the fact it was now 35 minutes pass my scheduled appointment time.) I asked if the the references I was supplied with would also do my yearly physical exam. I was then told that I could be seen for the exam, but I just informed her that I'd be leaving as I had already had another appointment (I don't always work normal business hours, so when I have a day off I try to schedule as much as possible. Especially after moving 1,500 miles needing to find a new dentist, barber, and an optometrist.). To summarize: The staff was very friendly and helpful, however I was never actually seen by a provider. So I drove a 30 minute round trip for a scheduled appointment only to sit in the receptionist area for 45+ minutes. I would have only given one star as I literally was provided with almost zero care, but the staff was friendly and helpful. I understand a family doctor can't possibly treat every medical condition. On the other hand, the staff working reception and billing are absolutely and utterly AWFUL. Rude, hateful, and always unhelpful. Phone extensions are rarely, if ever, answered, voice mailboxes are always full, and the receptionists can’t be bothered to actually listen to what you are saying, much less try to help you in any meaningful way, and there’s no way to get through to anyone else in that office. It’s a shame such a great doctor can’t find better quality help, but it is not like the quality of the help isn’t mentioned in almost every other online review so, it’s all on him.

A nice facility, but absolutely horrible staff and service. Don’t expect a phone call back about anything no matter how many times you call them (if they even answer). And don’t bother asking for a referral to a specialist because it’ll never happen.

Staff was rude and acted like they didn’t care. Also found it disrespectful when the guy in front of me got out of his car to get an injection in his hip in the parking lot. I’m sure he was humiliated as I would have been. Could a tent not be set up for privacy for that? Do better

I think I am gonna have to change my physician. I can barely breathe but I am gonna take the time to write this review. I was diagnosed with covid 4 days ago. I called the office 2 days to ask if kidney pain was normal and I waited all day nurse practitioner Sandra nieto to call back I never the call. I called today to follow-up up and was ridley told by the front desk staff that they had no appointments until Wednesday. I asked if my being out of breathe and having lower back pain was normal and I was told that if I was short of breathe I needed to go to the er. When I asked how late I could take the antibody infusion therapy after being diagnosed. I was told we can't help you you need to go to the er. Omg no we can send meds to the pharmacy or let me have someone call you back. I understand that the medical field is busy with all the covid patients but when you go from caring to look I ng at people like they don't matter will that a shame and you shouldn't work in Healthcare if you don't care about your patients or their well-being anymore. I make the drive from out of town to see Dr. Salcido for about 10 years now and each time I get treated very well by everyone there

The health care system is not perfect right now and every place is busy and but these professionals at Dr salcidos show up to work every day to care for the public thank you

Terrible customer service, the front office staff are the biggest jerks I have ever meet, not just my opinion, read the other reviews. I was in great pain, called for an appointment, waited, phone not answered, message said walk ins welcome, I turn up at 3 pm, only 2 people/patients in Lobby, but the front office staff tell me, no more walk ins for today? I was in so much pain and this is the second time these jerks have done this to me, I have A-1 insurance also??? I was only diagnosed for covid. THATS IT and for some reason they prescribed 100$ antidepressants, for “severe depression” and bi polar disorder. Excuse me? Place looks nice, but is complete garbage as far as patient care is concerned. The doctor doesn’t seem to know anything about healthcare or medicine on general. I got better care going to the Urgent Care in Midland. I suspect it’s a money laundering front for the cartel. If you want good care go literally ANYWHERE else!!!!

Dr. Salcido is great, but that's about it. His front staff is rude and the phone system is non-existent- because nobody ever answers. No extension is answered, whether it be billing or nurse's extensions., etc.

Dr.Salcido has been my primary physician for over 20 years. He is amazing! He is also my parents primary physician. He listens to your concerns and explains everything to your understanding. His NP Romero provides the same loving care for the patients.

My brother needed medication to save his life and this doctor couldn't be bothered. If something happens I will make sure he never practices again

My 17yr old daughter went in complaining of an earache the NP-C Araceli Romero took a look into the ear stated it was compacted and needed to be cleaned out never looked at her throat or basically anything else. Not even 5 min after walking out my daughter started complaining of a headache and a fever soon after. I contacted them and was told I would need to be charged again due to this being different symptoms even though the earache was still there and she never checked for anything else. I took my daughter to see a different Dr. (Bacani Clinic) she was diagnosed with a sinus infection hence the pain in her ear! I am so upset these people failed to make it right and failed to check her properly the first time! I was charged $200 for her to misdiagnose my child! Never again I should have read the reviews before going a fancy office doesn't mean good medical service. If I could give 0 stars I would!

This office is a joke! They never answer their phones for prescriptions, they call you back 2 days later and they have been proven to be incompetent to send over prescriptions to pharmacists. The reviews should have been a red flag before even attempting to go to this quack of a facility. 1) The experience from the front desk was sub par and rude. They were not helpful at all. 2) The nurses for Ms. Dorman were not at all friendly and did not listen to my concerns 3) The nurses lost my urine sample as it is a total mess in there. They and my urine just vanished while I was waiting for direction 4) Dorman did not listen to my concerns that I was having and was quick to interrupt to give her POV. While I used to praise this clinic, I've noticed that it hasn't been so great lately. I no longer have a choice of which NP I want to see and have had issues with the one THEY want me to see. Garcia was great but is not seeing "sick" patients (recurring sinus infection). Today when I called, they hung up on me after waiting a bit to try to make an appointment. When I called back, the girl was not very friendly and when I finally got an appointment, I found out that the NP I didn't want to see is the only one seeing "sick" patients. I really like my doctor, but I will not return. The office staff is extremely incompetent. You are told multiple things and then they do not honor it or just outright ignore what they stated. According to the office our insurance paid and we did not have a balance, a year later (after they built their fancy new office) we have balances on our accts!! Bonus - my husband waited in the lobby for me and overhead the ENTIRE office staff talk disrespectfully about me!! Our Son saw Dr. Salcido in November 2020 for the first time and he and his associates are very professional and thorough and found out exactly what his problem was. Was recommended to us by another Dr and we are so happy that she did!! We highly recommend him and his staff!! God bless you and your families!! ????????✝️???? Dr . Romero has cared for my family for years we have seen Dr. Salcido as well , both doctors are amazing they pay attention to their patients and care about their health when most family doctors I felt in the past have taken my moneys , my experience and my family experience here have been great

Been coming here for over 5 years. Always feel at home. The staff calls you by your name. Dr Salcido is a great doctor he has treated my entire family. Never have had a problem if waiting is not a problem. That should tell you how good he is.

I love Dr. Salcido's office! I've been a patient of his since I was about five. There is a good wait period sometimes but it's no different than all the other offices here.

My first time coming to Dr. Salcido’s office and I had a good experience, it’s nice & clean. I came in as a walk in and got seen within the hour & every staff person I encountered was extremely nice and helpful. Ms. Nola was a sweetheart and made me comfortable. I would definitely recommend this doctor office.

Dr. Salcido's office is the only place I trust around town. Not only does my husband and I use them but I also take my parents there. I would also recommend to all my other family and friends. Their hours are very flexible as they also accept walk ins. They are also open on Saturdays for a few hours which is very helpful. I personally prefer my family to see Araceli Romero-NP, she is very thorough and goes above and beyond for her patients. She has excellent bedside manners and makes everyone feel at ease. My parents have been seeing Dr Salcido for over 10 years, I appreciate that he has several nurses that speak spanish. Not all doctor offices have bilingual staff.

Dr. Salcido, has been my doctor for about 5 years. He always takes the time to explain my health issues. He is proactivie and really cares. I like that he really listens to me. I would highly recommend him.

Staff is rude.

The girl who took me in was very rude and rough. Staff was acting very immature and unprofessional.

Had an appointment today. Got there 30 min early to ask if I was going to owe payment for the visit the girl in the front just handed me the clip board and said sign in. She never greeted me or made eye contact. Hispanic with medium hair length with highlights. I asked her if she could tell me if I was going to be covered 100 percent. She asked for my insurance and when she called my name to give me my card back she didn't give me any information so I did a half turn and asked her again she said 20 percent because I have not met my deductible. I told her I have met my family deductible. Do yall go by family or individual deductible. She said with an additude as she interrupted me ...I'm going to have to send u to check out! That's what she should of done in the first place because I had specifically asked to know this information before being seen. When I get to check out the girl with glasses and black curly hair told me it would be 30 percent. I told her the other girl said 20 percent so which one is it? By the way the check out girl was nice! She asked the rude girl did u tell her 20 cuz it says here 30 percent. She replied I guess it 30 then! Yesterday, I went to my lab work appt. at 8 am. I was on time. I had just came off of night shift and I was fasting as requested by the doctors office. Filled out paper work and all that normal stuff. Then I got put in a room and was forgotten!. I was soo Hangry by 9 am! All that was done was blood pressure, temperature, urinalysis, and blood work. Didn't leave till 9:30, and only cause I made a fuss about it. I wish Doctors Offices really cared about people. But I guess they are soo educated that they become stupid and numb to people's issues. Why schedule an appointment if you can't follow it. I have been going here for more than 5 yrs and I am now considering of another practice to go to. Receptionist in the front are alot to blame for also. They really are incompetent when it comes to giving the correct information and following up! I’ve been coming here since I moved to odessa in 2013, and every time I come they are great at what they do. Working in the medical field myself, I know doctors’ offices get really busy, the team here works hard to get you seen on time.

Clinic's staff and Doctor was friendly and professional. I liked how you can get your x-ray and blood tests done in the clinic and not have to go elsewhere.

If I could; I would give it zero stars,,, had me waiting for a drug screening and physical 2 hours, just to get me in !!!

1st time I came here the doctor was not prepared. 2nd time I came which is when I'm writing this, the doctor tested my hearing but didn't provide directions for the test. When I explained this to her she proceeded to argue with me.

The worst office staff. No matter when I call I can not get help. No one calls you back and forget it if you are needing a referral. Its sad, Dr Salcido is a great Dr., your office staff can really hurt clientele.

We don't recommend this place. You don't even get to see the main doctor. You see his Np's. My husband went in not to long ago and revived a horrible experience, much less paid a lot of money just for a run around. Nola Damon, NP of Dr salcido, did no grate exam or blood work to diagnose him right. He was given antibiotics and pain medication for nothing he had in which caused him to break out in an allergic reaction. my husband went back to see what they can do, had to pay again still did no test or realy nothing about it. Didn't see no one else for another opinion! She didn't prescribe him medication for his allergic reaction witch he had thrush In his mouth. He paid to see another Dr in a differnt place, and was very upset that she didn't give him anything for his allergic reaction. After all the money spent on visits and medications. do to her just prescribing whatever she wanted to him for nothing he had. I wish there was more options we can do to complain and make them take better action. Or simply call the actull doctor to double check when somthing gose wrong. Nola was great, but the lab tech mixed up my blood work with another patient then lost another test. I should have had results in a few day, but instead will be about a month. The place is great at taking walk ins and the staff friendly.

Our family has been seeing Dr. Salcido for almost 3 yrs. He is very knowledgeable & caring. After being hit by a DD he took lots of time a multiple appts to ensure my family was okay. From allergies, asthma, strep throat & more they have always been kind, helpful & caring.

i have been seeing Dr. Salcido for many years, and he is as caring and compassionate a physician as there is. He is a great diagnostician and his staff is knowledgeable and well trained. I highly recommend the Salcido clinic.

My husband has gone to Dr. Salcido for years. Everyone there is great. He has also seen NP Araceili Romero. She is extremely dedicated, professional and has taken time to answer any questions he has had.
