Doesnt seem to miss any detail - Takes time to address questions and concerns

I am a Biologist and my mother and father were both seeing Dr. Arena for their cancer. Dr. Arena was extremely arrogant. We had to wait for an hour before seeing him, and then when we did see him, he would not answer our questions. I also felt he had very little knowledge of how to best help my parents. I would not recommend him.

I have been seeing Dr. Arena for over 15 years. Dr. Francis Arena is wonderful! He is patient, calming & professional. His Staff is truly amazing. So caring and takes extra steps to assist with your needs.

My family and I had the unfortunate experience of choosing Dr Francis arena and his very uncompassionate office of nurses. He decided to give my father continuous chemo after months and months over one year of chemo which had already deleted the cancer in his body. The continued chemo is what destroyed all his organs and killed him in the end. I had the gut feeling it was too much chemo and why keep doing it after the cancer is gone. So-called doctor arena said it was preventative . I feel that because they get paid more from the insurance company. Get second and third opinions I do not recommend this doctor. Clearly a brilliant doctor. Additionally Dr Arena has a staff of NPs that are way above average. They are caring, through, and very professional. Godforbid you are in need of a doctor to set up a plan of care for you, dont hesitate to contact his office. They have a way of making you feel safe and cared for during a very scary time. Sometimes you'll have to wait a while to see him, but don't let that discourage you. You'll be in excellent, caring and compassionate hands. Clearly a brilliant doctor. As my Mother's caretaker, Dr. Arena did his best to gently explain things to Mom, but made very sure I knew exactly what what to do, what was happening and what to expect. His empathy and pragmatism are a source of strength as we continue this journey.

so much more than an Oncologist - vast knowledge

Unfortunately, my Mother had used dr. f. arena as an oncologist for over three years. He treated her breast cancer with over a year of chemo. After that, she was diagnosed as free of cancer, but he insisted on more chemo for over another year as "preventative". At the time, she trusted him because she felt he got rid of the cancer, however we should have gotten a 2nd and 3rd opinion as I found out this was over the top rediculous. I feel he is more interested in getting payments for the expensive chemo than patients. This "preventative" chemo left her so weak that all her organs shut down, and she passed away of too much chemo treatment killing her good cells. Please do not use this person who calls himself a doctor. The nursing staff was cold and compassionate as well. Worst experience I've ever had.

I've known Dr. Arena for over a decade now, and he continues to impress. A solid physician and a great guy all around.

Longtime patient of Dr. Arena. His kindness and subtly are not missed in my books. The calm approach during a chaotic time in my life makes his help standout above the rest. I saw another review that was so far away from my experience that I had to comment - Team Dr. Arena all the way. A great doctor and kind man.

Took his time to care for my needs and spent quality time with me and answered all my questions

One of the worst experiences I have ever endured. Wrong diagnosis, verbally abusive - (yelling), not informative to patient.

The wait was a bit, but it was well worth it, Dr Arena saw me and was so comforting during a tough time. God bless

My husband survived stage 4 lymphoma thanks to Dr Arena. He selects the treatment that will cause the least harm to the patient's daily life and provide for the best outcome. I have referred other patients to Dr Arena who wish they had begun their treatment for cancer with him.

Dr. Arena saw me during a particularly difficult point in my life. I had a lot on my plate, and although the wait times were long (as they seem to be with every doctor) he was caring and compassionate once in his office. I was blessed to have Dr. Arena as my oncologist, and I am writing this at 80+ years old having seen him consistently since I beat cancer over a decade ago!

Dr. Arena was kind and caring, a thoughtful physician during a time of great adversity. Can't recommend him enough.

Simply the best, he is compassionate and extremely knowledgeable.

Dr. Arena is a very dedicated and compassionate physician. The level of care is above average and I trust his judgement completely. Getting an appointment with him is a little difficult because he has multiple locations and is very busy, but worth it. He explained things clearly and helped me through a very difficult time. The NPs and PAs in his office are all great. The staff at the infusion center are among the most dedicated, caring nurses I've ever encountered. Office staff needs some work.

Dr. Arena and his team are professional, qualified and caring. The wait time can be frustrating, but the level of care you receive is exceptional. My mom has been Dr. Arena's patient since April and we are all grateful to have found him and his practice. His diagnosis and treatment are accurate and they always stay on top of the side effects and follow ups. He is very careful and runs plenty of tests. The infusion center is staffed with angles, who show an exertional care for their patient

Exceptional education, and training...numerous awards, and recognition from professional and community institutions. The Best!

2 hour waits past the actual scheduled appointment time virtually every time we visited (my wife was his patient) is simply disrespectful and we can't be the only patients who had this experience. So we switched to another oncologist. Other than that, he is a very nice man. Seems very qualified and experienced.

His bedside manner was awesome and he explained everything to me with such patience I was impressed. I felt very confident about his diagnosis and left his office feeling reassured that he was as thorough as can be.
