DR Fam is the No 1 in Mass . I had a surgery in Lowell General hospital. He is very kind and very caring. I was very nervous abut my surgery but He made me very relaxed. He is a truly wonderful man and Great DR. Please don't look anyone else if you need anesthesiologist. He is The DR you need

I found Dr. Fam to be extremely kind and reassuring. I was nervous about my procedure and he was quick to help me feel more calm relaxed. He works quick and is extremely efficient. Overall, I had a wonderful experience having Dr. Fam as my anesthesiologist.

My wife came to labor room today to deliver the baby. When Dr. Fam gave my wife epidural, my wife had a great pain, and she started voicing it. About half a minute or one minute later, my wife asked me if it is done? So I asked Dr. Fam. The doctor gave her a num and then continued giving the medicine. The great pain continued. My wife told me it was not that painful when she had the same procedure for the first baby (which I remember), and she asked me if it is done. I asked the doctor again. Dr. Fam yelled at me “Do you want me to continue or finish?” He used such a loud voice and a rude attitude that I don’t know what to say. After the procedure was finished, I asked Dr. Fam why he was so rude to us when my wife was in great pain. I said maybe we can give her a break if she cannot endure the pain. He asked me with a loud voice and fast pace again: “how many times did you ask me?” The fact is, I only asked twice, with a gentle voice. He seemed to be impatient before the procedure. When he came in the room, he handed my wife a form to sign, by saying “there may be bleeding, sign here” (just a few words with no explanation. yes, I did see a lot of bleeding on my wife’s back). After my wife signed the form, he threw the folder on a table (when a nurse was preparing tools on that table). Not sure why Dr. Fam was so mad at us. My wife and I respect every doctor and nurse in hospital. We followed everything we were asked to do to make everyone easier during the labor. I have never seen a doctor having such a rude attitude, especially when the patient is in pain. When he saw my wife’s severe pain reaction (that lasted for a few minutes), he could ask “are you ok”? However, he didn’t say anything like that to relieve my wife, or stopped what he was doing, instead when I said my wife can not endure the pain, he yelled at me “do you want me to continue or not?” I believe he didn’t treat every patient that way but what he said to us did make us feel very uncomfortable.
