Dr. Floyd A Shurley JR.

I almost died because of severe withdrawals from zoloft. Dr. Shurley didn't wean me off of my zoloft before switching to two different meds. I came close to having a seizure and ended up in the ER. He used to be a really good doctor when I first became his patient. Now he is not the same doc that he used to be. He doesn't even take time to listen to you. He should have known better then to allow me to go thru all of that. Then when he found out what happened he didn't want me as his patient anymore. I do not recommend him. They never return calls. Having heart issues but doesn’t seem to be enough of an issue to return calls. Sent me to ER and had to call them to get records on that and never heard back.

Just don’t! Dr Shurley would not refill my regular 225mg antidepressant medication that I had transferred from my old office. I had been taking it for a long time. He would only refill one 75mg pill a day, which caused bad side effects from withdrawal symptoms. He kept trying to talk to someone to tell him “why” I was on it, instead of making sure I didn’t have seizures (due to my seizure disorder.) While being dropped to 1/3 of my regular dosage, I even contacted my insurance company and they were concerned enough that I changed doctors. Unbelievable. Just don’t! Have been going to Dr Shurley for years and love him. I have always been able to get in to see him when needed. Very caring and compassionate, I highly recommend.

Stay away from this place! Dr. Shurley attempted several times to project his limited thinking, and beliefs on me as a patient! Stay away from this place for the sake of your health!

They try to schedule appointments that are not necessary. Also, I waited 45 mins after my scheduled app in the waiting room, to only wait another 35 mins to even see a doctor in my room. The receptionists//they act like it was “someone else” that I talked to on the phone. I called to cancel an appointment but it was not canceled in their system, so now I have to reschedule to avoid a fee for missing an app. I will be canceling though, and changing doctors ASAP. Outstanding Office! Everyone was very nice and extremely attentive to my needs! This will for sure be my new PCP going forward!

Didn't seem to care about hearing my issues in detail. Only xrayed half of my issues. This was the 2nd visit about the same problem. 1st was prescribed medicine that not only didn't help, but made me sick and have blood in my stool. I called immediately and received a call hours later to cut the dosage in half. No help! I work nights, so to get there at 945a.m.was a task, but to add insult to injury, was given a DVD of my xray and was told to go down near St Vincent hospital at 145p.m. With no phone number, no address, and the name spelled wrong. I left feeling worse than when I got there, mainly cause when I told him I'd been working all night and was very tired, was told to try and find someone to drive me. The absolute worst experience ever. Do not and I repeat do not visit this office . We had an appointment with Dr Bo Shurley and this guy was the worst . He would not let me talk and proceeded to tell me what was wrong with me. He charged us 95.00 dollars and did absolutely nothing . We basically paid 95.00 dollars for an over the counter medicine. Save your money and find another Doctors office ....long story short, I've been extremely sick for 5 days and couldn't get an appointment until today. I told this Dr. That I've had an extremely sore throat and cough. All we asked for the Dr. To give me a simple antibiotic to start taking. Dr. Shurley told me that I was very contagious but he told us that I could call him back in 3 days if I wasn't any better and then and only then would he call me an antibiotic into the pharmacy. I explained that why do I need to wait another 3 days to get medicine when I've already had this for 5 days. Whatever happened to caring about helping people when they are sick. We went to Walmart to get the medicine that he said he called in and it was basically an over the counter pill for a stuffy nose that anyone can buy in the store . We even called his office back and asked to please speak to the doctor and see if he would please call an antibiotic into the pharmacy but he wouldn't even call me back. The nurse finally called me back and basically told me that the doctor said it wasn't going to do anything. We don't blame any of the nurses because they did their jobs well but this Doctor, I would never take any of my family back to see this guy. Trust me not even worth the 1 start rating.....this doctor was very arrogant and rude with us.I now have to spend another day off work to go the Doctors office in Little Rock where I know at least my Doctor cares about his patients.
