Dr Rodriguez-Pinero is an outstanding oncologist. He is data driven (an important quality) and he shares it with the patient. He is a caring and personable professional. His patients are important to him. I recommend him highly.

Good luck getting past the office staff. Two days before my first appointment "Casey" called in a panic about required paperwork she sent in an email. Problem was there had been no email. She needed a release form immediately. I asked her to resend it. She rudely hung up on me.. I got an email with 20 pages in it. I downloaded the release form, printed it, signed it, scanned it and sent it back. I printed the rest and filled it out before the appointment. I arrived and noticed their tiny waiting room was filled with people. The receptionist asked for the paperwork. I handed it to her and she screamed at me: "Is that all she gave you?" So then she started hitting her printer and tore open the top, ripping out paper and wadding it up to throw away. I decided to reschedule. Two days before the next appointment I get a call asking if I received the paperwork. I asked why they keep hassling me about paperwork and was told she was cancelling my appointment and she hung up. Good riddance

I downloaded the release form, printed it, signed it, scanned it and sent it back. I downloaded and printed the rest and filled it out before the appointment. I arrived 20 minutes early and noticed their tiny waiting room was filled with people. The receptionist asked for the paperwork. I handed it to her and she screamed at me: "Is that all she gave you?" So then she started hitting her printer and tore open the top, ripping out paper and wadding it up to throw away and hitting the printer some more. She handed me about 10 more pages of paperwork. While that was going on I looked around and saw all these people in various stages of wearing masks and asked to have my appointment rescheduled when it wasn't so crowded. She offered to put me in the crowded hallway. I rescheduled. So now I get a call and the woman wants to confirm my appointment. I said I was coming and she barked, twice: "Did you receive your paperwork?" I asked what was with all this concern about paperwork and she told me my appointment was canceled and hung up on me. What a shame. I was looking forward to sitting in a tiny room full of cancer patients in the middle of a pandemic. Avoid this place. They are careless, disorganized and rude.

I was referred to Dr. Rodriguez after being diagnosed with a blood clot disorder by my primary. Dr. Rodriguez had me to do some extra blood tests before determining if I would need to continue taking blood thinners. I followed up with him for over 2 weeks to speak with him regarding my results (I pulled them from Quest myself and they clearly read positive!), his office kept saying they would have him call me, I continued to fax in my results in hopes that would bring attention to my file - never heard from back from him. It's been a month since I saw him last and no word on my results and what course of action I need to take as far as my medication. I was seen by a new hematologist on Monday and she called me this morning to give me my results and we've reconciled the issue. I would stay away from this office at all costs!!! Your health is too important to have to spend time reminding a Doctor that they need to follow up with you - that's their job! Very happy with my new hematologist and I will never return to this office again.

While undergoing chemo in 2017-18 I had enormously compassionate care from Dr Rodriguez. I continue to see him for regular follow up care and he answers all my questions fully. He brings to the practice a smiling disposition and encouragement even when I was at my worst

Dr. Rodriguez is the worst MD that I have met. He has no compassion. I had an appt set up with him for 2 weeks to find out the results of my patho report to see if I had cancer. When I first called the office, no1 asked me what type of insurance I had. The office called me back a wk later and scheduled labwork for me to do. Still, no1 asked me about my insurance. I finally go into my appt and he refused to see me b/c he said he doesn't accept my insurance. And I still don't know if I have cancer
