It’s not a good attitude from the staff. Doctors don’t care.

Do not go see Dr Canada. Worst office for patient care, 0 sympathy or care at this office. No follow up, go somewhere else , money hungry doctors here.

In the early days, a very different experience compared with the last few years. Last several appts. wait was over 90 minutes, she then spends 3 minutes, mostly not even looking at you, for a very short, curt, rude, back and forth. Always an argument and like pulling teeth even when using the portal. Finally had it and switching primary doctor. Same day, a neighbor and another women switched for same reason. Pretty soon there may not be a wait!

Wait times are ridiculous, typically over 90 minutes for a then, short, cute, rude 3 minute appointment. Very unprofessional. Every appt. feels like an argument. There are way too many other options for good doctors to put with that.

Worse doctor I’ve seen in my life. Rude, dismissive, zero empathy or even looking at you while talking. So wrong, a doctors appt should never traumatize you and leave you feeling worse than before.

This was a 6 month visit which was unnecessary but as per her recommendation from my previous visit, I arrived 15 minutes early for a 3:40 pm appointment. At 4:30pm, I was concerned to see most of the staff leaving for the day. I was told by the receptionist she usually runs late. Then I was taken in by a nurse who told me two patients were ahead of me. By 5:05 I finally was seen by her and I let her know I would not be returning.

Worse experience in a doctors office. Dr Canada not only didn’t had any bedside manners, she had zero empathy, was extremely dismissive, and with an oppressive, authoritarian and rude tone since the beginning. Long wait to see her and then she would talk fast and seemed on a rush. She would barely look at me or even face me, never looked at my labs, ignored or dismissed a lot of my health concerns/symptoms, told me that I can not make requests for lab tests, that is not right to get for more than a 2nd opinion, that I was doctor hunting (when i told her I just MOVED from another state) I can go on and on… I just couldn’t believe what I was hearing and experiencing. And on top of it I HAD TO PAY FOR THIS! It can’t be right to leave the doctors office crying feeling worse than you arrived. If she ever reads this I hope she learns that she shouldn’t treat people like that… it was traumatic for me. I wouldn’t even recommend her to my worse enemy.

We moved here almost two years ago and was so worried about finding a doctor as good as the woman we have used for many years. How fortunate we were to find Dr. Canada. She is very smart, knows her medicine, and cannot do enough for her patients. She is among the best physicians I have ever known, and I would recommend her highly.

First visit wait was over 1 hour, second visit I asked the receptionist if an hour wait time was common for this physician. She said Dr Canada has only a 10 minute wait time. Again I waited over an hour and finally gave up and left. A physician relationship involves trust. My trust is gone. I was also told if you ask to change physicians, Intercoastal will banished you from the location. You will have to go to a different Intercoastal location. My take away: Intercoastal pulls all the strings.

Dr. Canada was my doctor years ago when she still practiced in Jeffersonville, Indiana. I was so sad when she moved. She's the best general practitioner I ever saw. She always took the time to listen and do everything she could to help you If you're lucky enough to be able to see her, it's worth it.

Has her moods, sometimes great, caring and spends time and other times rude, abrupt and no follow through. And whatever you do, don't question her as she is known for "firing" her patients.

She is wonderful! She listens attentively to you and your concerns. She is not trying to rush you out, like others. She’s always offering options and talking through them with you on ways to best handle your health needs.

Dr. Canada is absolutely the best... very caring and thorough.

My husband and I both have been seeing Dr. Canada for a number of years and are very satisfied with her level of knowledge and caring - along with other important qualities that we look for in a Doctor. She listens and guides effectively.

Great doctor that listens to what questions you may have and makes you feel really comfortable.

Dr. Canada is an excellent Doctor, with great bedside manner. She truly cares about her patients, remembers the little details from previous visits, and expresses great concern for her patients well being. I highly recommend Dr. Canada, she is worth the wait as sometimes she can run behind schedule.

I went for a new patient appointment. I have significant preexisting conditions and needed a doctor to help coordinate my care in a thoughtful manner. This "doctor" came into the room, put her back to me, asked minimal questions, and sent me packing after 3 minutes with referrals, one to a specialist that I had o reason to see and without a referral to another specialist I did need to see. I think she got me mixed up with another patient. I know that medical standards in Florida are lax, but this person should not be allowed to practice medicine. I would never treat another human being the way she treated me, and certainly not a patient with major health concerns.

She is a vary caring doctor who takes her time and does not rush.

Trying to find a good doctor when moving to a new state (Florida) was very difficult. DR. CANADA is amazing and I have been a patient of hers for approximately 4 years. Very caring, thorough and professional. HIGHLY recommend her :) Her support staff is wonderful as well and very helpful and caring.

Do not trust for a gyn exam--very perfunctory and misses important things. Both front and especially back office worst in known universe. Stear clear.

I was taken a back ...The first thing she asked me after looking at my chart was if I was a doctor-hopper? Didn’t ask me what’s wrong or really check me out ! Guess she didn’t understand that I had just finally gotten several referrals to finally see a few Specialist and that they were just doing their job by prescribing anything that I was out of, or anything needed to be prescribed based on my symptoms or condition. So right away I didn’t trust her in my care at all and will not be going back !!

Dr. Canada was rude and unprofessional. She cut me off saying "you have a long story to tell" when I was explaining her about my health condition. She doesn't care for her patients.

Dr Canada is awesome! She listens to me and has a caring attitude. She is an excellent physician and I am thankful I found a good doctor.

She is very caring and thorough. She will take her time to listen to your concerns, and she is very intelligent!

Dr Canada is very thorough. Warm, knowledgeable, caring and is a good listener. She gives you plenty of office time. I highly recommend her.

Love Dr. Canada! She’s been my family’s doctor for a while and she’s amazing. She truly listens and cares about her patients. I have never felt more comfortable talking about my symptoms than with her.

This doctor is used by 3 adult members in our family. Intelligent, thorough and cares about the people she takes care of. I have never had to ask to have a script filled or blood tests done this doctor is ahead of the game always. Highly recommend , although don't want her to get too busy that she can't see us.

Never can talk to this Dr if you have an urgent need. You must always go through a call center and wait 10-25 minutes even to get answered. I was put in a dangerous situation because she went on vacation and the office would not let me see another doctor. If you have a simple problem you get a referral to another Dr in Intercoastal . I selected family medicine so simple matters could be handled by one Dr. Not recommended

If you select this physician, be prepared to struggle to get thru to the office when you call- you will be lucky to get thru to the receptionist within 5 or 10 mins ( lucky) I have actually been on hold for 20 mins before hanging up because of giving up. I have Had to actually drive to the office or call after hours for the phone service to speak with a person. Then when you do finally get an appt ( if their computers are working... ) you will arrive to the office to typically wait an hour to be seen. Your personal time is not valuable to Intercoastal or Dr Canada. Then you will get a brief- and I mean brief time with the actual physician. If you need paperwork completed for any reason... be prepared to have to pay for an office visit to actually have a shot at getting it completed. Look elsewhere for someone who cares about their patients.... this place is not it. Knowledgeable and caring physician. Always makes time for you.

I have been a patient for the last 3 years - when I first began with Dr Canada she did seem caring enough to spend time with you and answer questions. After yr one - calling in for appointments require long hold times, if you are seeking an urgent appointment - good luck. Wait times once in the office are about 45-1 hour. I recently needed paperwork signed off on (after Dr Canada had already seen me to follow up and release me to work) she refused to complete without an office appt! I am done.

Be prepared for poor customer service from calling, scheduling and wait times. Always dealing with computer issues, phone issues and excuses. Recently Dr asked me how I expected for her to remember any information about previous visits??!! What? What about my chart notes? Look for another provider!

I have had Dr Canada as my primary care physician for almost 5 years now. Without fail, I have found her to be responsive, thorough, kind, compassionate and up to date on all treatment options. I have a complex medical history with several significant underlying chronic conditions and a family history of serious life threatening diseases. I feel comfortable and confident under her care. She is reasonable and makes sure I see great specialists as needed. She is fantastic. I recommend her highly

Before my actual first physical, I experienced great pain under my collarbone and down through my abdomen. I saw two of her colleagues at Intercoastal because she was not available. They ordered 6 tests which could not be accessed at Sarasota Memorial when I went to the ER. I lost faith in Dr. Canada. After Canada called me an enigma, the nurse came in with my checkout papers. Intercoastal policy does not permit a doctor to call you back? Results of tests were read by admin. No ? answers. Arghh

This was my second visit with Dr. Canada... (everyone has a bad day). Unfortunately, both visits felt rushed with minimal interaction. Doctor's interaction felt dismissive and cold.

She is great!

She refused to sign a form unless I made an office visit, (charged me for the visit). This was not necessary, she already provided a signature on her form, unfortunately my short term insurance wanted her signature on their form. All I needed was a signature.I even brought the form to her office for her convenience and she still refused to sign the form. Stupid, greedy decision. I have switched MD's.
