Most compassionate doctor who spends as much time as you need, and I’ve been with her for over 18 years. And very competent. And many of the negative reviews I see, I hope potential new patients realize she can’t respond to them no matter how one-sided some them appear to be due to HIPPA law, and that seems very unfair. You know the saying, no matter how thin the pancake, it always has two sides.

Extremely rude front desk staff, don’t expect your call to be returned.

Knowledgeable and up on the latest therapeutics! Very nice staff! Sometimes you may have a wait….but it is because she is spending quality time and giving the care each patient needs and deserves.

I read the reviews. Had High expectations. Unfortunately my experience from the office staff to the waiting period to see Dr. Zahabi was extremely disappointing. Recently, my primary doctor recommended Dr. Zahabi to treat my autoimmune issue. I informed him that I had tried her in the past with no results. He assured me thus should go well. Well just today, her staff md Dr. Zahabi are officially off my list and his short list of doctors referrals. My primary sent the referral...a week later, no one from Dr. Zahabi called, therefore I called my doctor to confirm referral delivered. Next step of course is to called Dr. Zahabi's office. When the person answer the phone, no intro. I ask whom am I speaking with, she said Cynthia. I greeted her, gave her my name and asked about the referral. She was very snippy, cutting me off each time I attempy to answer her question and then she placed me on hold for some time. She finally returns to the phone and ask, "may I help you?". I told her I had spoken to her and was waiting to be helped. I begin to tell her about my doctor's request and right in the middle of what I was saying she cut me off and said hold. What?!?!? I'm holding again. Next thing I know someone else comes on the phone without introducing themselves. I ask whom am I speaking to. She gives her name and I explain my encounter with Cynthia, tell her my situation and ask her to relay my experience with Cynthia to the office manger. She then states, I am the office manger. I asked her to address Cynthia, especially if I am going to encounter her upon my visist. She places me on hold. Cimes back stating Dr. Zahabi said, "If you are uncomfortable with Cynthia, then she rather you see someone else for treatment.". I told her thank you. I will share this with my doctor and write a review. And wish her a good day. Called my doctor's office to inform them and they were Completely shocked. Never to refer another patient to Dr. Zahabi. A family member has been a patient of Dr Zahabi's for several years until we recently switched providers. The front office is completely unorganized resulting in very long hold times often without resolution for the issue at hand. Call backs take multiple days and the office is not friendly for patients with medical issues / work schedules that make visits between 9-5 challenging. Tele-visits were common during Covid, but have been eliminated further complicating a simple check in with the doctor. Dr Zahabi is typically 30-60 minutes behind schedule for in office appointments and it takes multiple phone calls to ensure a Rx request / refill is sent to the pharmacy. Finally, we were billed for 2 years due to a back office insurance billing mistake (to this day, I do not believe the billing issue (simply resubmitting the claim with proper documentation) has been resolved. You have lots of Rheumatology options in the DFW area - pick a more professional office than this one. Dr Zahabi is the best! I've been a patient of hers since 2015 and I drive from Fort Worth. She is very thorough, professional, knowledgeable understanding, versatile and has excellent bedside manners. Dr Zahabi listens and goes over and beyond to get the answers to your concerns. I would erecommend she and her great team to anyone who desires personal treatment.

I've been a patient with Dr. Zahabi for 7 years. She always makes me feel welcomed whether visit is in person or telemed. She is genuinely concerned about my health and never makes me feel like she doesn't have time for me. I have complete confidence in her decisions regarding my RA issues and how to address them. I appreciate her empathy & professional expertise with her patients.

Dr. Zahabi gave me hope to live pain free again! She listens to each of my concerns and answers all of my questions in a timely manner. I always feel nervous when I go to any doctor appointment, except Dr.Zahabi.She treats you like a real person, and chats with you so she can get to know you and also for her patient to have a comfort level. I am very frustrated with the lack of communication. After having an appointment for blood work in which I did not get to talk to the doctor, I had some questions for her. It has been over a month of leaving messages and no one has called me back.

Completely unprofessional. Dr. Zahabi started my appointment by walking into the room speaking with her assistant about another patient and how "she only wants someone to write her out of work" then she turned to me and said "I wish someone would write me out of work..." and started laughing. HOW RUDE. These are patients coming to you for help for painful, yet often invisible illness. I should not have been surprised when she then continued our appointment and asked me about my very extensive personal and family history of many illnesses. She then ends that with "so did you know that you had all of this going on in before you got married and had children?" As if because I have family health history (as do probably 90% of the population) I am somehow unworthy of reproducing happy children. Yes, there is a 50% shot that my children may have to endure what I have, but I am happy and a functioning member of society that happens to have pain, so to imply that I shouldn't have gotten married and had children because of that was absolutely mind blowing. It is unconscionable to think that this is a medical professional. I was so shocked I didn't even know what to say. She then went on to fight me on why I haven't yet gotten my covid vaccine after having the discussion about my prior history of vaccine allergic reaction and my mast cell disorder, I mean really!? I have been going to Dr. Zahabi for 10 years. I feel she listens and spends more.time with me than most Doctors I have been to. She is direct which I appreciate! I am thankful that I was referred to her.

Dr. Zahabi has always shown me genuine care and has gone above and beyond to work with me as I did not have insurance at the time I started seeing her and had recently been furloughed from my job. Her nurses are always very pleasant with me as well. Her receptionists seem a bit standoffish, but I've never been to a doctor's office where they didn't give off that vibe so I really have no frame of reference. Unbelievable in the middle of Covid, they aren't practicing social distancing in their waiting room, or have hand sanitizer, or masks on. The provider and assistant did. But not the front office. AND NOT ONE BOTTLE OF HAND SANITIZER PRESENT. Not even in the exam room where there isn't a sink. When I asked why they weren't wearing masks, the front office lady said they were, as I'm looking at 4 people at the front desk without them. Took 3 weeks to get a return phone call with my labs. Took another 3 phone calls to get my labs emailed to me. Will never return. Not to mention, the nurse practitioner telling me how covid will likely go away in the heat. Hard to trust her medical advice when she shares this.

Will never call back, nice when you are there at 795.00 an appointment. But will not return a call about medication that was to be called Inso you have to make another appointment. Been going there for 6 months and have 6 appointment's. Great business model for revenue but, not good if you are trying to be a good Doctors or human.

A couple of days before my appointment, they called to rescheduled it because she got "double booked." We rescheduled for a different time. $350 later and 40 minutes in the waiting room they got me in with a medical assistant. Then I had to consult with a nurse (very nice, by the way.) The doctor came in later, sat, didn't perform exams, or talked about the actual reason for my visit and just "socialized,"pushing for small talk. Again, she didn't perform any exams, didn't ask me any questions - NOTHING. She requested some lab work and asked me to follow up with her in 2 weeks. We scheduled the appointment before leaving her office. When I came back for my follow up, they said that she was on vacation, and the nurse was going to see me. I've been a patient of Dr. Zahabi for a little over 2 years. She is the 1st rheumatologist I've ever had but I've seen A LOT of doctors! Enough to know a good one when I see it! She listens!! Now days to find a doctor who truly listens to you is rare in my experience. It has been quite the journey so far and there are plenty of days that I just want to dig a hole and crawl in! But when I have a visit with Dr. Zahabi I leave her office with more hope than I came in with and to me that means a whole lot!! I've seen the PA Andrea once or twice and Dr. Zahabi couldn't have made a better choice. Andrea is thorough and kind - Again, I find these qualities in the medical field to be rare. I haven't had a lot of experience with the office staff until recently. They've always seemed nice enough. My recent experience with them shows that they're very busy but it seems to me they're doing the best they can to take care of everyone's needs. At least that's my opinion. I've found in my many many experiences with doctors and illnesses that finding a good doctor is beyond difficult. One that truly listens to you and actually seems to care. So when you find one don't let them go if you can help it. I would without a doubt put Dr. Zahabi on that list along with her PA Andrea. But you also must keep in mind that you share these doctors with hundreds of other people and while they may be doctors they are only human. You should also always take accountability for yourself (your life) and be as knowledgeable as possible of your condition(s). I Visited Dr. Zahabi for the first time. She took time and very patient to listen to my concerns and explained and educated me on the causes and treatment options. I would definitely recommend to others.

I’ve been seeing Dr Zahabi for years. I had been at Baylor and was given terrible advice, out on a chemotherapeutic regime and I was getting worse. Dr. Immediately addressed MY concerns. I know my body. She listened. Combined her expertise with my needs. Dr Z is direct, succinct, dedicated and is dedicated to her craft.

I made an appointment to see Dr. Zahabi for my initial consult. A few days before my appointment the office called and asked if I would mind seeing Andrea, NP. Reluctantly, I agreed and I am so glad I did. Andrea was thorough and took good care of me. I have since been back for follow up appointments and she continues to be wonderful. At one point I was unable to take care of my daily needs and thanks to the help from this clinic, I am working and doing much better. Thank you Andrea for your care. Finally, I was having blood pressure elevations and called the clinic to see if they thought my medication could be contributing. Dr. Zahabi is the most caring, empathetic, professional doctor I've ever met or been treated by - and I have had my share in my life. She wastes no time - is always ontime with her appointments but also spends quality time with her patients - taking time to explain and answer all questions.

I first saw Dr. Zahabi when I initially had inflammatory arthritis symptoms (April 2016). She diagnosed me with RA. Fast forward to this year. At one appointment, I waited 90 minutes in a room, just waiting to see her. No apology, no reason given. She spent 15 minutes with me, mostly discussing drugs. When I asked if she thought I might have Lupus or something besides RA, she very nonchalantly said, "You don't have RA. You have Spondyloarthritis." She didn't explain how different this diagnosis was. The last few visits, I have been seeing Dr. Gonnalagadda, who flat out told me she would have started me on biologics from the beginning, even though my priority is managing the disease progression without aggressive drugs. She also didn't know there was a link between gut flora/health and autoimmune disease. I said she should look at the latest research the next time she gets bored, as it's pretty fascinating. She abruptly said she doesn't have time for that because she has kids. Since then, my back pain has been so bad that I asked about Ankylosing Spondylitis on another visit, but was told I probably don't have it since I'm a female. I asked for an MRI on my SI joint. Dr. Gonnalagadda left me a voicemail saying I have "no inflammation" showing. Well, this week, I finally saw a copy of my MRI report, and it very clearly says I have inflammation of my SI joint, so I was either lied to, or someone can't read. Either way, I'm done. I called to cancel, and I told the receptionist I was switching doctors and would be happy to give a reason why, if she thought they'd care. She literally said, "No, I'll just cancel it. No worries." Also, if you leave a message, no one will call you back...ever. And EVERY time I'm there, patients are complaining about one thing or another. I initially thought Dr. Zahabi was a great doctor, but it is such a cattle call. The office is run SO poorly. And since there is a shortage of rheumatologists in the area, they will just keep getting new patients and don't seem to be interested in providing quality care. One of the best rheumatologists in the country. Excellent diagnostic skills and will hear you as a patient. If you are fortunate enough to live within driving distance of Plano TX I highly recommend seeing Dr Zahabi for treatment.

Awful. Her partner Dr, Swathi Gondalagadda is nice, but seems young and inexperienced. She wants to order the most expensive, redundant tests, blood work, and xrays before prescribing ANYTHING to assist you. It's ridiculous.

Dr. Zahabi is wonderful. She literally saved my life. I started seeing her several years ago and I don't think I would ever be able to find another Doctor as good as her. She not only treats you--she gives you education so that you better understand your needs and disease process yourself. She also diagnosed a condition in my mom that every other doctor had missed for over 20 years, because she really listens and observes her patients carefully. I can't thank Dr. Zahabi enough for what she has done for me. I first went to her in 2010 after a flare up of inflammations all over my joints. I had no idea what was happening to me. She immediately suggested we do blood work and ordered a specialized testing examining certain genes that she had suspected we're the culprits and she was dead on! It ended up being a hereditary condition that can flare up out if the blue and thank goodness I found her otherwise I would probably be in a wheelchair now. As a very hard patient to treat she always has something else to try to keep me comfortable. Even when my lab work doesn't always reflect how I am really feeling she never questions that I am not doing good. A great doctor and would definitely refer my friends and family to her! I've been going to Dr. Zahabi for over 10 years. I will follow her no matter where she relocates to (don't tell her - this might sound creepy). She is kind, intelligent, friendly, on-top of everything, forward-thinking, she listens carefully to everything you say, and I think most importantly, she considers all aspects of a patient's care in order to make the best diagnosis each and every time.I've never found another doctor who cares more about her patients.

I have been seeing Dr. Zahabi for eighteen years and I have nothing but a great experience with her. She is dedicated to helping her patients. I have a very complicated lupus and requires constant change in medications and she always has a plan of action. She is kind with a great bed side manner and always explains thing and answers all questions. I would recommend her to my friends and family . I have had nothing but a great experience with her and her staff.

After 15 years of seeing the same Dr, I saw Dr. Zahabi. She wanted me to taper off 40mg of prednisone over less than a week. Everybody knows that's not only crazy but dangerous. But I trusted her. I ended up in the ER in adrenal shock and in crisis. When I went home, I called her office and her front office told me that they had never heard of that. No one called me back. I went ahead with her bloodwork, told the nurse. I got zero response, no concern, not one comment. I won't be back!

Dr Zahabi is the best. She is very patient, and she takes the time to explain everything to you in very clear terms. She never seems rushed and gets to know you. I would recommend her to anyone needing a rheumatologist.

I love, love, love Dr. Zahabi! After spending over a month in the hospital with a team of five different physicians who could find nothing, seeing one of the top doctors at the Southwestern University, I finally landed at Dr. Zahabi's office who after one visit (where she took her time to listen, unheard off!), she had me correctly diagnosed and on my way to properly handing my disease. I thought maybe it would be just the first visit, but no, going on my 3rd year she is still always there for me. We discuss everything, everytime. I feel so blessed to not be alone in this battle with auto immune disease. If your frustrated with doctor's offices and medical treatment, I recommend you visit this office.
