Such a kind and knowledgeable Man. He's Awesome! I was blessed that Dr. Scott my Neurologist, sent me to Dr. Vinas. He did my back surgery, and so far.... I'm blessed. Cassie is so kind!! The whole staff is nice.

Words cannot express how grateful I feel to have been able to have Dr. Vinas to perform my surgery on 2/9/2023. His calm demeanor and ability to make one feel at ease with having spine surgery is amazing. He also performed surgery on my mother many years ago, and she trusted him and his skillful ability. I would recommend him over and over to anyone needing to have neck or spine surgery. I have not felt any of the pain or numbness I was having prior to surgery. Cassie and Nicole his Medical and Office Team are absolutely amazing and have been amazing at making sure any of my after surgery needs are met. I was nervous about having spine surgery, but I am eternally grateful that I had the best, Dr. Federico Vinas.

I was referred to Dr. Vinas because of the extreme pain I was having in my legs. He studied my MRI and other tests and said that he could help me with minor surgery. I am 84 and I came through with flying colors and am now out of pain! I think that Dr. Vinas is fantastic, highly recommend him and his staff.

I highly recommend Dr. Vinas. I was able to get an appointment with him quickly. He was friendly and personable and really showed his care and concern about my issue. He was clear and concise about what needed to be done and though made no promises, he was very reassuring that he could help me. I scheduled my surgery and was terrified. The day of surgery he spoke with me before my surgery and again was so reassuring and confident all would be ok. After surgery he visited me in my room and made sure that I was OK to go home. I have had several follow ups with his PA and have been very pleased with the follow up. I was finally released this week and saw Dr. Vinas and told him what a phenomenal job he did and that I am 99.9% symptom free thanks to him! Dr vinis is great if you actually get to see him. It is the staff that is horrible. They miss lead you and after 2 requests have still not returned my calls. I waited 3 months to do a follow up with this Dr just to find out they scheduled me with a PA. I made it clear from the beginning that I don’t want to be scheduled with one. I want the DR that went to med school who put the work in and is board certified. I wonder if the Dr is even aware of this. It’s a shame such a good DR would have such a lousy staff. Dr. vinas operated on me last week of May 2020. For 2 years I had pain in back, legs and feet, was not able to walk half a block with out stopping or falling, waking up several times a night because of pain. after operation no pain, can walk, climb stairs no pain he made life worth living again thank you Doctor Vinas Jim

Dr. Vinas is amazing. After he performed cervical fusion on my cervical spine, I went from being in excruciating, radiating pain to golfing, surfing and paddle boarding, pain free in 3-4 months post op.

Dr. Viñas solved my lumbar damage, pain, and issues when no other options worked. I was blessed to have him as a surgeon, he is truly gifted. I wouldn’t put myself in anyone else’s hands.

I had emergency lamenectomy and fusion 20 years ago and recently reinjured my neck. I went to see to Dr.Vinas in extreme pain practicully begging for surgery to stop pain. Dr. Vinas operated on my husband in July 2019. The surgery was successful ,thanks to this surgeon's care during and after surgery. Dr. Vinas is truly gifted. I highly recommend him as a neurosurgeon. I have been a nurse over 50years .

My wife Beverly had been living 10 plus years in life altering pain. She was no longer able to enjoy and participate in simple activities. Not one to take pills Beverly tried therapy, exercise, injections anything and everything. Finally Dr Vinas was recommended to us. Beverly is now 6 months post op and it shows. My husband needing emergency neurosurgery was sent to Dr. Venus by our primary care physician she had had wonderful experiences with him in the past and felt uncomfortable sending us to anybody but... as we enter the emergency room fully knowing we were going to have emergency surgery the following day the doctor put us at complete ease letting us know he perform the surgery many times over and that we are in good hands, I hate to call any surgery routine however my husband surgery through Dr. Van Ness went off without a hitch three months later he is pain-free and has feeling back in his lower extremities!! Dr Vinas did surgery on my neck C4 & C5 to repair these 2 collapsed disks. My surgery was at the end of May and today was my final check up 4 months later. I feel like a new person. I can move my neck, shoulder and arm with no pain. There is no numbness in my fingers. I am ready to resume an exercise program and get back to my regular life. I highly recommend him as a caring and GREAT surgeon. Also, his staff was very good. I suffered for the last 2-1/2 years and if I had seen him sooner wouldn't of had to go through such pain. 5 months after surgery I am still having the same pain I had before surgery. He was nice during consultation but after surgery I did not see him he was not on call. Day of discharge I spoke mostly to his PA. He did not see me at my PO-op visit either. He has few reviews for a doctor who has done hundreds of surgeries?? He basically washes his hands of you if you’re not satisfied. Cold and uncaring.

Dr Vinas saved my life. He operated on me and put a shunt in my brain to drain the fluid from my brain and it completely turned me into my old self after not wanting to go on.

On a Sunday nite It was determined at the ER that my husband had a large subdural hematoma. Dr. Vinas was sent the CT result and my husband was transferred by ambulance to the hospital where Dr. Vinas came and saw him on a Sunday nite. He performed brain Surgery the next morning . His care and compassion saved my husband's life.

I recently had surgery about 4 weeks ago to correct a bone on bone issue in the lower lumbar area. Dr. Vinas performed the lift procedure and the outcome was highly successful praise God!! Not only was my pain cured, I did not experience any pain after surgery at all!! Dr. Vinas is more than a competent successful surgeon, he's much more than that. He's a very compassionate Doctor who cares a great deal about his patients, and will do all that he can through the abilities God has given him to help bring comfort to His patients. He informed me about everything pertaining to the surgery in terms that I understood, so that there were no surprises. Great Surgeon! I would recommend him to anyone with back pain. Brent Davis

I walked into the office and was told to wait while the receptionist finished her personal conversation with another staff member. Over ten minutes later, I was acknowledged and not in a welcoming manner. The nurse apologized, and recommended I inform the doctor about the situation. I was seen by Dr. Vinas, and told that my 4 herniated could be operated on. He informed me his office would contact my attorneys. A month later, I receive a call from their (passive aggressive and rude) scheduling nurse asking me what my decision was - I made that clear in the office visit. I was told that the proper paperwork was never received from my attorney's office. It was sent again. Here we are a month later and I am receiving bills for services which were to be billed directly through the insurance. Dr. Vinas may be a great surgeon, but good luck finding out. I never did, I can't get through his terrible staff to get scheduled.

I saw Dr. Vinas for weakness in my legs which he determined was coming from my neck. Not only did Dr. Vinas fix my problem, he was kind, compassionate, and very knowledgeable. He explained everything that was going to happen and was very patient answering my questions. I highly recommend him!

Dr Federico Vinas listened carefully when I told him my symptoms. He ordered a procedure to determine if his diagnosis was correct and he performed the surgery. The improvements are more than I could have hoped for! I have my life back. He is a kind and gentle man. He is my hero!

Dr. Viñas is a truly careful, gifted neurosurgeon. He took the time to explain and analyze my conditions and options. I first met Dr. VInas on Nov. 25, 2018. I had broken my neck Nov.24, 2018 after a one vehicle rollover, on I4. Nearly severed my spinal cord. C5/C6 & C7 were nearly thru my spinal cord, but with his procedure, I am a miracle to be here. Spending nearly a month in Halifax Hospital, Rehab in Brooks( which was amazing with 2- wonderful Therapists), I was released to be home, Dec. 22, 2018. Home therapy for nearly a month, then going to Orlando Health(which probably will last another year or longer). I originally had a Halo to stabilize my neck for 3 months/then a neck brace. It has not been easy, but given a second chance of life, I am forever "thankful" for the care/procedures that have saved me...YES, I would recommend Dr. Vinas (10 plus stars).. You would be hard pressed to find a more qualified Neurosurgeon in Florida or anyplace else. He treats his patients like family. When you talk to him he has the gift of making you feel like you are his most important patient. He takes the time to explain everything about your situation in clear and concise terms. If I ever need a neurosurgeon again I will have none other than Dr. Vinas even if I would have to travel half way around the world.

Actually I'm study in my last semester study for Dr in chiropractic. I'm know the importance of the spinal nerves and the vertebrae column. Recently Dr Vinas performed the laminectomy procedure to my wife, was incredible the pain was gone right after the surgery. I'm recommended the Dr Vinas hands for you spinal column. Dr Vinas in my eyes was an angel,I moved here from Connecticut and damaged my lower lumbar which gave me severe pain,I couldn’t walk,take a shower,sit or get up with out help,I was so bad I had to get a motorized scooter to get around,I saw in total 16 Drs even supposably the best in Gainesville,not one Dr would do my surgery until I met Dr Vinas.I had my surgery June 29, and 1 month later I was in tears because Ihad NO pain and I’m getting stronger and better.THANK YOU DR VINAS,

Dr Vinas is the most amazing surgeon. I consider his work a medical miracle. After 15 years of excruciating pain in my legs, he performed spinal fusion(s)/ laminectomy on 3 levels of my spine. He was hoping to achieve 75-80% pain relief. My recovery has been without any issues, and 3 months post op, I am virtually 100% pain free. He gave me my life back.

After years of pain and trying different therapies, orthopedic, physical therapy and pain management, I spoke to family members about any other approach to relieving my pain. I was no longer able to attend family gatherings and had difficulty walking from my front door to my car much less navigating stores. After an MRI and meeting with Dr. Vinas, I saw what my lower back looked like. I had surgery early November and since the 1st of Feb, I am 100% pain free. I would not hesitate to recommend.

I was experiencing a lot of pain from 2 herniated disks in my cervical spine. Dr Vinas performed a laminectomy with fusion and the results were dramatic. I feel little to no pain even after exercise and common household chores. Dr. Vinas has great bedside manner and quelled all my anxiety and fears. His staff was very helpful and responsive to my questions and concerns. I highly recommend Dr. Vinas to anyone who needs spinal surgery.

I am from a helicopter crash. Dr. Vinas has done 3 of my surgeries. The last one May 2017 left me with 2 stripped screws and one broken one. After 6 months of disability the office would not take my calls for follow up treatment. 2 other surgeons are now shaking their heads in disbelief

In my opinion Dr Vinas is an excellent Surgeon, but I think after doing the amount of surgeries that he has perfomed he has become a little lacks in his profession. He did a laminectomy on me and after I explained to him my history of surgery. and urinary retention due to prostate issues he and the anathesioglist dismissed my concerns. Long story short Halifax hospital gave me a severe urinary tract infection landing me in hospital for a week. This could of been prevented. His response I'm sorry

Just one heck of a Doctor, he is someone that operates on you and treats you as if he is treating his father.

I had really bad sciatica so Dr. Vinas did surgery on my lower back. I couldn't even bend enough to brush my teeth before and now I run every day- pain gone. If you have the same type surgery keep in mind nerves, muscles and other stuff is between the knife and the disk so it may have temporary effects like I had a lot of trouble with my left ankle, it was like rubber but exercise has much improved that and time will eventually heal it completely.
