About Faranak Vossoughi
Reviews for Faranak Vossoughi
I would definitely recommend Dr Faranak to anybody who has bad arthritis in the hands like I did wenn the pain prevented me from doing things I like to do, Dr Faranak has helped me so much I'm thankful for her expertise. Last year I had 4 surgeries on my hands 2 on each hand, now I'm totally pain free after the post op pain. She explains everything that is going on with your problems. I love Dr Faranak, she makes you feel like you are family. I will miss seeing & talking to her since I have no reason for a office visit. I would definitely give her a 10+.
Dr. Vossoughi seemed to be knowledgeable and reputable and why I chose her. However, be prepared to pay more than what you were told. Very disappointed with receiving two different invoices after procedure totaling almost $400. I had asked for preauthorization so I could know how much was patient responsibility versus what insurance covers and then receiving invoice months later. I understand my insurance company denied part of the claim, and this should have been known up front by the staff here versus an invoice coming in months later. Also, no follow up since my procedure on hand to see how things are progressing.
Excellent courtesy, treatment and surgery. Will recommend Dr Vosogghi to family and friends.
Doctor and staff were very professional, caring, friendly, and polite! This made the visit very easy and had a sense of relief when we left!

Mythili was great ! She was very knowledgable about the issues and the OT she gave me with my arm issues. She was very friendly and made me feel comfortable! My pain has gone away! I would definitely recommend her for OT!
I have severe osteoarthritis in most of my body so I have learned how to live with pain, But after years of built up pain and discomfort in my right hand, wrist, and forearm - and seeing a rheumatologist who said there was nothing else wrong - I KNEW there was more to my pain than just arthritis. Dr. Vossoughi diagnosed severe carpal tunnel, cubital tunnel, and synovitis. I immediately scheduled surgery with Dr. Vossoughi and am now 2 weeks post-surgery. I am happy to say most of the problems I was having are gone. There is still some tingling and mild discomfort in a couple of my fingers but since the full recovery time is 3 months - I am hopeful and optimistic. When I first saw Dr. Vossoughi, I was desparate for some relief and almost in tears from frustration and pain. At the end of her initial exam of me, she sat down in front of me, took my hand and looked me in the eye said, "Please don't worry. I can help you." During my surgery, once she was inside my arm, she relaized the synovitis was much worse than she originally assessed from the outside. She had the nurse immediately call my husband to let him know the surgery was going to take longer. The doctor had to release my nerves and tendons from the grips of the synovitis and cysts which were all the way up inside my hand - not just in my wrist - wrapped around the tendons and nerves. What a relief to know she took the time to "release" my hand from all of the horrific inflammation. I am so happy I chose to work with her. She is professional, kind, and has a sense of humor when she needs to. As with ANY relationship, communication is a two-way street and I have had to be persistent about a couple of things with her staff. But to me, that is minor compared to the overall satisfaction I have received from the doctor herself. You know Opinions are like Bee holes everybody has one. I am 44 years old and I have retired from 22 years of being a Professional Wrestler. Doctor V is the most caring and understanding Doctors I have ever encountered other than Doctor Parsley. I know there is negative comments about her but I promise you that she will put your well being before any other BS. I had to have my middle finger removed due to an error by an ER Doctor. Oh and thanks to our lovely Texas Legislature he can't be be held accountable. She Totally guided me and helped me make the best decision for my health. Long story short she is phenomenal and cares very deeply about her patients. You know Opinions are like Bee holes everybody has one. I was extremely disappointed with my experience with this office. I called to get an appointment as a new patient, the first time I called they told me since I didn’t have insurance it would be 200.00 for the office visit, xrays etc would be extra of course . I said ok I will have to get back to you. I have a cyst on my wrist and now it’s extremely painful and throbbing so I need to get it taken care of. I called back and wanted to speak with the financial coordinator the girl on the phone told me she wouldn’t be back until july15. I said well really I’m in extreme pain and need an appointment. I started to get upset and cry on the phone because I am frustrated and in pain. The girl had no sympathy what so ever and just kept on telling me this isn’t an emergency and how much the visit would be, she told me 250.00 for the office visit and I told her the other guy told me it was 200.00. She was very rude and said it’s 250.00. I didn’t like the way I was talked to and bottom line the money was most important to them than my pain was. It’s just a shame that she treated me this way. I had my surgery at this office. Dr. Vossoughi was very professional and caring throughout the process. I would certainly come here again in the future.
Today was my first appointment with Dr. Vossoughi. She was nice, professional and knowledgeable. I trust her with my up coming procedure.
Service was excellent, Dr. Faranak took the time to listen to the main concern and any minor side concerns that came to mind during my appointment. She was very through in reviewing my X-ray and explained everything very clearly. The staff was very courteous and my wait time was very short.
The staff and doctor are so caring. They give you all the attention. Feel very comfortable there.
Dr. Vossoughi is a wonderful doctor. She has operated on both my hands for carpal tunnel. She treats you like a valued patient and a friend. She is caring, compassionate, and spends quality time with you. Overall great experience!
My experience was more than disappointing. The doctor didn't complete the repair as promised, attaching a tendon where it should not and leaving another detached. I'm not sure if it's because I was the last patient of the day of surgery or exhaustion set in. The most disappointing is the doctor made an effort to hide what she did in the reporting but another Surgeon was able to see through it. I possibly need two more surgeries because of this doctor.

Maybe this Doctor is exceptional, but in my experience, the Doctor lacked communication when something came up that could be perceived as a mishap. She displayed an egotistical attitude and blamed the patient for the poor outcome of the surgery although the procedure has a high fail rate. If the Doctor hadn't become so blatantly arrogant, I would have been fine with everything ( I'm extremely easy going). Buyer beware: if any mishaps she'll blame the patient.

I believe Dr. Faranak Vossoughi is personally responsible for adding 5 to 10 years to my life, and drastically improving the quality of my life for the years to come. I was referred to Dr. Vossoughi by my family doctor in the Spring of 2016 after severely bruising my right hand. Dr. Vossoughi took an X-ray of my right hand at the very first visit, right there in her office, which I found very convenient due to my busy schedule. Most importantly, however, is that when Dr. Vossoughi noticed something unusual in the X-ray, she did something extraordinary. After viewing the X-ray herself, Dr. Vossoughi asked me to come out of the patient room and into her X-ray room so she could personally show me what she observed. In the X-ray room, Dr. Vossoughi pointed out how the area in-between the joints of my right hand revealed erosion and inflammation indicative of Rheumatoid Arthritis. Dr. Vossoughi informed me that, based on what she and I were looking at, she strongly recommended that I see a Rheumatologist. Dr. Vossoughi then gave me a referral to two different RA doctors, and a copy of the X-ray on disk. While the first RA doc was not thorough and told me that she didn't think I had it (RA isn't always diagnosed by blood tests, and the first RA doc didn't even look at Vossoughi's X-rays), the second RA doc, Amber Khan, used Vossoughi's X-rays and additional MRI's to accurately diagnose me with this often debilitating autoimmune disease. Because RA is completely different than regular osteoarthritis, and because early aggressive treatment is more likely to prevent severe disability and death in the future, I will forever be grateful to a doctor who took 3 extra minutes during her busy schedule to take me out of the consultation room and into the X-ray room to look at the X-rays with my own eyes. It is very likely that without those 3 extra minutes, I would have gone 10 to 15 more years without knowing I had this chronic condition. At 43-years-of-age, I want the last years of my life to be as happy and healthy as possible. Because of Dr. Vossoughi going the extra mile, to make sure I could really "see" and understand her concern, I was able to quickly find a RA doc to speedily diagnose me. On behalf of my husband of 22 years, my 4 children, and hopefully the gaggle of my future grandchildren, I will forever be grateful to Dr. Faranak Vossoughi for her compassion, expertise, and excellence. My mother visited Dr. Vossoughi for her left hand carpel tunnel and and then returned for her right about a year later. Both hands are working incredibly well! If you're nervous about a procedure not going as expected I suggest you use Dr Vossoughi because I know she performs well and was pretty accommodating
I’d like to thank Dr. Faranak Vossoughi and her team for her accurate diagnosis and management of my wrist pain. This is my second visit with Dr. V after receiving treatment 2 years ago. She has helped me each time with her compassion and medical expertise. After diagnosing my problem she did not require me to return for the treatment. Instead the treatment was administered immediately which bought me 2 years of pain free use of my hand. My visit today was quick and easy and again extended the use of my hand for a few years before surgery becomes necessary. Although she is a surgeon, doing surgery is not her first option although it could be. I highly recommend her as a hand surgeon and totally trust her to do the surgery I will need in the future. I WOULD STAY AS FAR AWAY FROM THIS DOCTOR AS POSSIBLE. She said I had nerve damage in left arm. She has a guy that comes into her office to test for nerve damage. Insurance will only pay where the nerve damage is. The guy tested RIGHT arm that had NO NERVE DAMAGE and since my insurance wouldn't pay, the doctor sends me a bill for over $3000.00 and I never signed anything. After I refused to pay for it they sent it to collections and now shows I owe $1846.53 after 7 years!

This doctor does additional testing on her patients that are not needed for the extra money. I had a nerve conducting test on left arm and doctor operated on elbow and wrist of that arm. I was told I had carpal tunnel in wrist, which I did not, and nerve damage in arm. I lost 70% strength in arm and doctor said there was nothing else she could do. After seeking therapy and laser treatment myself, I got the nerves back and now my arm is 95%. This doctor, like many other doctors, has a guy come in their office and do nerve conducting test on both arms, Doctor pays the guy a set fee and bills insurance companies the balance. Insurance will only pay for the arm that is damaged, and the doctor bills the patient for the additional. I received a $3000 bill from the doctor and did not even sign anything. I went back to get stitches out and their new MA had no idea how to remove them. I had to explain to him that he must use alcohol on it first. I have worked in the Medical field for over 40 yrs and this is the worst doctor. If you have to have surgery on your hand or any extremities, please make sure your doctor knows what they are doing.
