Writing this review on behalf of my mother, Carole Delk (81)who has been a patient of Dr. Rakla for over 15 years. Dr. Rakla has been a life saving device for me! He is professional in all he does. He is kind, considerate, and always willing to try new and innovative approaches to my COPD. He has time for me and is willing to answer my questions with answers that are easy for me to understand. He is very respectful of me treating me as a patient and a friend! I highly recommend him for anyone needing respiratory care. I give Dr. Rakla all the credit for giving my mother a life that she has had and continues to have. (Daugther-DeAnn)

I have the upmost respect for Dr. Rakla . His bedside manner is something that always a patient would love to have but seldom receives he is knowledgeable ,genuine and caring. He is an excellent doctor . I would like to thank Dr. Rakla for showing compassion, love and respect not only for me but for my whole family as well . Dr Rakla has no interest in what I have to say. He only wants to talk and me listen. When I try to talk he has an attitude and becomes irritated! He is not friendly or personable. I decided to no longer be a patient . Does he have a control issue especially.cuz I’m a woman!!!

I'm a Covid-19 patient of Dr. Rakla's and spent 3 weeks inpatient at two hospitals with pneumonia in both lungs, with the last 2 weeks being under Dr. Rakla's care. I found Dr. Rakla to be an exceptional physician! He is both highly competent and knowledgeable as well as very patient-focused and caring. He was happy to take the time to answer not only all my questions but also my spouse's questions by phone. While I was inpatient, Dr. Rakla orchestrated a treatment regime that resulted in my being successfully discharged well along the road to recovery. Since discharge, he and his office staff have been wonderful in coordinating my ongoing evaluations and treatment. I am very pleased to wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Rakla and his staff! I'm a Covid-19 patient of Dr. Rakla's and spent 3 weeks inpatient at two hospitals with pneumonia in both lungs, with the last 2 weeks being under Dr. Rakla's care. I found Dr. Rakla to be an exceptional physician! He is both highly competent and knowledgeable as well as very patient-focused and caring. Great doc.

Great doctor I was hospitalized with covid in August for three months this doctor patiently treated me until I was able to go home which I believe I owe a lot to him for that help me line my machines up in order to be able to go home and have oxygen which was above and beyond his duty at the hospital thank u

Dr. Rakla and the staff are awesome! They always give excellent service with a smile and attention to my mother’s needs. It is because of them that she feels much better today and does not suffer with her asthma as before. I highly recommend this practice to anyone looking.

I was in hospital with C19 for 21 days and Dr. Rakla became my Doctor.. In summary he saved my life.. without his help I would not be here.. Not only did he get me through with the best in medical care -- he was able to greatly lift my moral and outlook -- to go on under the huge negative emotions that draw you down to give up

Dr. Rakla was treating me for COPD while I lived in Houston. I found Dr. Rakla to be an excellent Doctor. He spoke to me in a way that made sense, he listened, and he never seemed rushed. I felt that Dr. Rakla truly cared about my health. I never felt like I was just another patient. I would trust my Mother's care to Dr. Rakla. I cannot say enough good things about him.

This is a money hungry doctor!! Since I was on Short Term Disability I needed forms to be filled out. When I went to go see him(without being told before hand)until I was seeing him already This doctor charges $75.00 per a document for him to fill it out any documents. To me that is too high to get a form filled out when I am under his care. Plus the front desk personnel is horrible!!!! I have been waiting for a refund(I am on week 3) and all I get is excuses. I was referred to Dr. Rakla from an associate. He and his staff have been a pleasure to deal with. Dr. Rakla is a very caring and thorough physician. His staff has always been helpful and extremely kind. I would recommend Dr. Rakla and his staff to anyone I know including my own family.

To me all the time I have been coming to Dr. Rakla he is the most considerate with my health and very pleasant as a doctor. He treats me extremely nice and I love him as my dr very much! I trust him with my health. Thank god for Dr. Rakla and his staff they are all very precious to me.

Horrible customer service at the front desk. Dr was good to work with but the front desk girl was more than rude.

Dr.Rakla has helped me maintain a healthy life style for many years inspite of my respiratory problems.He takes the time to listen and is very encouraging during each visit.Because of Dr.Rakla, I am able to continue my career with his guidance.I highly recommend his service.I always leave on a positive note.

About one year ago I was hospitalized with the inability to easily breath. With cardiologists, neurologists, pulmonologists, toxicologists, and a few others tossed in the mix, my situation continued to worsen and remained undiagnosed. Around three days after my admittance Dr. Rakla had an opportunity to examine me and review my history and the current use of drugs prescribed for me. Almost immediately he recognized the symptoms and after reviewing my scans came to the correct diagnosis that one of the drugs recently prescribed for me could also kill me if not addressed with diligence and expedience. The Amiodarone that had recently been prescribed for me was stopped at once and Amiodarone Induced Pulmonary Toxicity became a new phrase in my vocabulary. The Doctor remains alert to the newest methods and drugs to hinder or even stop the progression of it and has done wonders for me with his approach. Dr. Rankin has been my doctor for years when no other doctor could find out what was wrong with me. He actually helped me, he knew what it was. He is the kind of doctor that answers all your question, is patient and very kind in my opinion he is a great doctor and I would recommend him to anyone also, is staff is very good.

I am so fortunate to have met dr. Rakla through ENCOMPASS rehab, and then had the chance to work with him on getting a non-invasive vent lower my co2 while I sleep. I've been trying for over 2 years to get a vent approved but getting it rejected through insurance. Dr. Rs office got it approved for me first time. More than that, though, he has a fantastic bedside manner, great sense of humor, and really listens when you're telling him how you feel. .. I use dr. Rakla for all my pulmonary needs when I'm in the humble/Kingwood area. I highly recommend him. I am so fortunate to have met dr. Dr. Rakla and his staff are both courteous and knowledgable. The time they take for my care is wonderful. I feel that Dr. Rakla keeps up with the times and changes in the care required for my particular illness, and he has selected a really good team of doctors to back him up as necessary. Have no complaints!!

I have been a patient for over 20 years and I have always received excellent care. Dr Rakla is kind and considerate. He listens and addresses any of my concerns. I highly recommend him, he is absolutely the best!

Dr. Rakla was patient with all my questions , genuinely interested, explained all options and actually called to check on me on several occasions! That is quite unheard of in today’s managed-care systems.His staff is punctual and thorough and never had to wait past appointment time. I have never been hospitalized before-double pneumonia with blood clots, and He was patient with my stubborn, prideful, impatient self. My diagnosis is that I have asthma and before going to Doctor Fakhruddin A. Rakla, other doctors could not tell me what was wrong. Luckily, Doctor Fakhruddin A.Rakla ran some tests and found out that I have asthma. I would recommend Dr. Raklin because he is trustworthy.

They want you to arrive 15 minutes before your appointment or test, but you have to wait an hour or more past your appointment time to be seen. My time is valuable also. Expect a long wait.

He is an excellent Doctor with strong interpersonal skills and able to clearly explain medical conditions in a very relatable way. I would recommend him to anyone without hesitation

Dr. Rakla is the best Pulmonologist in the greater Houston area. I'm a COPD patient and have had two doctors before moving to Dr. Rakla. His staff is very professional, his testing is "state of the art", and we're always looking for new treatments for my disease. As you can see, I'm a happy patient! I recently had a serious case of pneumonia that required hospitalization for almost two weeks. Dr. Rakla was the pulmonologist attending me. I was very impressed with the way he and the other doctors worked together to develop my treatment plan and how he and the team carried out this plan. He was very involved and concerned throughout the treatment. I really appreciate the attention and the high quality care I received during this time. I would strongly recommend him to anyone having issues of this type.

Dr, Rakla has been my pulmonary doctor for over 12 years. After being misdiagnosed with a sinus infection by 2 other doctors, Dr. Rakla dug deeper and scoped my chest. I had A-typical TB. He put me on antibiotics immediately and sent me to specialists in Tyler TX. Even though I ended up losing the upper lobes in both lungs, I wouldn't even be here today if he hadn't found out what was wrong. He is attentive and friendly. I would recommend him to anyone.

I have been going to Dr. Rakla for several years and would recommend his office and have to several. He listens and is always willing to help you understand what is going on and what the next steps should be regarding your treatment. The office staff is always willing to help with any issues. Melissa went the extra steps and stayed on top of things to help resolve an issue with the DME company for my portable oxygen concentrator. I can not praise her enough.

Admitted with a diagnosis of pneumonia, Dr Rakla realized that was probably not the true problem. Turned out to be congestive heart failure. He saw me regularly, explained everything and spent as much time as needed. I surely recommend him highly!
