Dr Menken is an amazing doctor who cares about her patients , I have moved from NY but continue to see her when I’m in the city .

Very easy to make appointment online and no long wait. The offices/exam rooms are nice, organized and clean. The staff is friendly, but most importantly, Dr. Menken is terrific -- very professional, honest, friendly, informative and great bedside manner. Overall, a very well run medical practice. I highly recommend without hesitation.

Dr. Menken practices medicine like she’s on a civil war battlefield. There is no modern technology used and she was not willing to help me heal in the most efficient way. I went to her post c section that was infected and not healing. She took me back to the OR and opened the incision and left it open hoping it would heal from the bottom up. When the open wound was not healing I asked if I should be going to a wound care clinic which she abruptly said NO, ‘no one is going to do anything other than what I am doing’. She initially gave me a healing time of 10d-2weeks. After 3 weeks of no progress and multiple time extensions, I went to a wound care clinic who instantly changed my dressing changes, gave me a wound vac and helped me heal right away. If a doctor discourages a second opinion that’s a red flag. I think she was more interested in collecting my $50 cash copay rather than helping me get better. Very disappointed overall.

Dr..Menken is very kind, knowledgeable, and professional. She provided my daughter and myself with excellent care. Dr. Menken's Medical Assistant and Medical Secretary were very warm and pleasant as well. The entire experience was great.

She was set up to accept card payments because I saw she had the card-swiper at her desk but She demanded I pay her in cash because she assumed someone like me would not pay my medical bills. I promptly gave her the money because, $25 is nothing to me. I wish to have no further interaction with such a person. Throughout the time I was there she could be heard haggling with patients over CPC codes, seems she tries to find everything possible to bill the patient's insurance. WHICH IS FRAUD! And I bet she doesn't pay taxes on those cash only fees. Anyhow I get any bill in the mail from that office I will call the IRS. Extremely prejudiced and money grubby, stay AWAY! Extremely knowledgable, skilled and caring doctor who not only does a thorough exam but also takes the time to sit and answer your questions - so reassuring. Easy appointment making and well run office. Highest recommendation!

I cannot pay enough glowing tributes to Dr. Menken. I wish I could give her 50 stars. She is absolutely amazing. A dedicated, professional, competent and experienced surgeon. She takes her time with you to make sure you fully understand the treatment she is proposing for you and that you are comfortable with it. She leaves nothing to chance and is ready to answer any question you may have. She answers her phone even on holidays and she always returns your calls. She understands that anyone dealing with cancer is stressed. She cares about how you feel both physically and emotionally and treats everyone professionally and with the utmost respect. Dr. Menken is an excellent doctor. In addition to being a terrific surgeon she is a warm and caring person who goes out of her way for her patients. I highly recommend Dr. Menken.

On the day of my last visit, Dr Menken’s office was very busy. On top of that, her nurse was not in the office that day. Despite all of this, Dr Menken, in true form, took her time with me, addressed my concerns and answered my questions fully. I am so blessed to have her as my breast surgeon all of these years. Dr Menken was amazing. She answered my call at 7am and made room in her schedule for an appointment that afternoon. She was very kind and informative and made me feel really comfortable. She did the procedure painlessly and quickly. Great experience all around - highly recommend!

Outstanding surgeon who was recommended by a well known breast pathologist. She takes your complete medical history (unlike other physicians who allow another person to take your history). She does a thorough and complete physical exam necessary for evaluation of breast pathology (even taking blood pressure not using a machine). She is 100per cent honest. Although honestly can be shocking to patients newly diagnosed, she takes care of her patients as if they are her close friends or family members. I can honestly say that I would highly recommend her to my closest friends and relatives.

Had surgery with Dr. Menken 3.5 years ago. I am still a priority when I call. Her care, knowledge, and approach is superb. She is your advocate and her style is patient-focused. I trusted her with my life and would do it again.

Dr. Menken is amazing. Caring, to the point and made sure the issue was appropriately addressed. Always follows up and easy to reach.

This is my first time writing an online review for a doctor, but I was so impressed with Dr. Menken that I just had to write this. Dr. Menken removed a large breast tumor that was benign and left no trace that anything even happened, but almost invisible little line. I had a smaller tumor removed by another surgeon a year prior that left my breast indented and bruised for several months and with a nasty big scar. NOT Dr. Menken!! My breast looks perfectly normal after only two weeks post op – no bruising, no scars, no indentation. I am beyond impressed. Also, she is very pleasant and friendly, happy to answer any questions. My surgery was quick, on time and pain free. Highly recommend Dr. Menken. Dr. Menken is a lifesaver. I had one of the most horrific experiences with a recurrence of mastitis--from the excruciating pain to the total incompetence of other doctors who insisted I had only a blocked duct--until I saw Dr. Menken. She was thorough and no-nonsense, while also validating of how much pain I was in. I am so grateful I finally got in to see a doctor who knew what she was doing! Until I saw Dr. Menken, I felt helpless to get treatment that would actually work and relieve my pain. I am so grateful I was referred to her (and that she could see me so quickly). Also, when I had an allergic reaction to a medication a different doctor put me on, Dr. Menken somehow took my call on a Sunday morning on a holiday weekend. This grade is regarding Carolina, the receptionist who answers all calls for Dr. Menken. Unfortunately, my mother breast cancer came out of remission. It has been a scary and stressful pass few days trying to located services. We came upon Dr. Menken, who was highly recommended for her dedication to her patients. However, calling the office has been an ordeal. Carolina is arrogant and inappropriate. You would think being in office that deal with women and men battling cancer, staff would be better equipment to handle and address stressful situation. This morning, I called to confirm my mom appointment and I was immediately corrected in a condensing fashion as I pronounced Dr. Menken name. She corrected 2 times and which I believe was unnecessary. I told her thank you, but it not didnt to correct me or feel the need to spell out the name as though I am a child. I inquired to speak to her manager or supervisor, and according to Carolina she has none. I will make sure this issues is addressed to appropriate people. Dr. Menken provided excellent care throughout my difficult and long ordeal with mastitis and abscesses. Her intellegence, decisiveness, depth of experience, and caring put me at ease, and, when my condition eventually led to the operating room, I was confident I was in the best hands possible. I’m so appreciative to her for getting me healthy and home to my newborn!

How I wish I would have insisted on another surgeon to do my appendectomy laparoscopically instead of having the open surgery with Menken which left me with a huge, unsightly hernia that will need further to fix - if it can be fixed which is not clear. Also, Menken's lack of dexterity caused my appendix to break off. This meant my wound couldn't be closed and the pain was horrible. Becauseof this surgery I developed massive adhesions which required further surgery. STAT AWAY!
