F. Duane Turpin

Dr. Turpin has been my doctor for more than 20 years and helped me through migraines, seizures as well as helping me sort out MRI results and ECG tests. He is compassionate, professional and a great listener.

I LOVE Dr Turpin & his staff! I started seeing him in 2019, against many ill-advised reviews...I took a chance. And I'm SO glad I did. I am a 56-yr-old woman with chronic migraines, trigeminal neuralgia, and fibromyalgia, and Dr Turpin has helped me with all of my listed diagnoses. If I need to be seen quickly, for an unforseen problem or pain, his staff always makes room to fit me in. His staff is kind, friendly, & professional. These has always gone above and beyond for me! I couldn't be happier as a patient who truly needs my neurologist often - best decision was taking a chance on Dr Turpin!! ??????

Horrific bedside manor. Completely unnecessary and unprofessional. I've never experienced a ruder doctor. He walked in my husband's room didn't even address him. Tried telling me, my husband was confused not just had a stroke. Let me say he did receive TPA in ER , which is treatment for stroke. I've been a nurse for 22 years and have been treated so poorly with disrespect for humanity.

Horrible..he wont listen to your concerns and will literally roll his eyes at you and smirk and walk out the door and makes you nervous to even talk to him about your concerns because of how he acts...horrible.

Great bedside manner, office extremely accommodating.

I first met Dr. Turpin in 2017 when I was a patient at BJC Hospital in St. Peters. I have seizures and have been under Dr. Turpin’s care since that time - he is very knowledgeable, considerate and has been responsive to my questions and concerns — I would highly recommend him. His office staff has also been excellent. Life has been quite challenging the past 12 months with the epilepsy, so I am grateful for the care Dr. Turpin and staff have provided!

Dr. Turpin is excellent. Thoroughly explained my diagnosis. Pain in my back was fixed with his help and some therapy. I would highly recommend him for anyone suffering from back pain.

0 stars if possible: Horrific bedside manor. Completely unnecessary and unprofessional. He belongs in a field that doesn't interact with people. He needs a mood stabilizer himself. I've never encountered a neurologist that rude. Absolutely no reason for it.

I have MS. Dr put me on a med that caused liver damage. Told me to stop taking it which I did. Had a flare up and went to ER as I was not able to walk. ER called him and he told them to give me low dose steroids and call his office next day for him to see me in office. Called his office and held for 75 minutes. Finally left message. Called back at 101 right after Phone on for lunch..held 40 minutes and still waiting. Next call is to find another doctor.

Not really doctor's fault, but took incredibly long time to not get checked in. Left without seeing the doctor. Now looking for another neurologist - preferably one without another company doing the booking, insurance, etc. Gosh, miss the old way without the computers getting in the way.

The office staff is wholly incompetent in insurance matters, it's very difficult to get through to the office on the phone, and Dr. Turpin gets a zero for bedside manner.

POOR communication in the office. I PERSONALLY called to set up my yearly neuroly appt for my epilepsy and neededa refill and they said they couldn't until i set up an appt...mind you thats why i called! Then i show up for my appt and the dr. Wasnt even there. They scheduled me at the wrong office! So they take my name and number down andhad. My name in the system spelt wrong! Told me they would call me to reschedule...its been a WEEK AND NOONE CALLED so again i call and have to leave a message!

waited days and had to call 3 times to get my test results! Left my cell number and they called my house and left message on machine. Never saw or even spoke to Doctor

I love Dr. Turpin! He really seems to know what he's doing, unlike other Neurologists I've been to in the past. My only complaint is the long waiting time to speak to someone on the phone when I have a question.

Dr Turpin is the best before I found him had visited other doctor after a year of no help found dr Turpin in less than five minutes he solved my problem

He is a great Doctor, office staff is good and friendly. My only complaint is that they are always behind, the wait is at least 30 minutes, yet they have the audacity on their recorded reminder to state that if you are late, you may be asked to reschedule.

Dr. Turpin has poor communication skills. He does not explain the diagnosis or communicate with the patient. He could be a good doctor but how do you know if he doesn't interact with you? His office staff are friendly and try to overcome satellite for his shortcomings. I wish to see him succeed. I have never written a negative comment on anyone. Please talk to and communicate with your patients Dr. Turpin.

Doesn't ask very good questions, it's an ordeal trying to get a hold of him OR his staff on the phone. The visits are too brief. No communication between him and the oncologist.

He was the worst Doctor I have ever been to. He has a horrible bedside manner. We were there for a second visit and he did not even remember our first visit. He made us repeat information again. He blamed it on everything being on a computer and not a paper file. He couldn't remember what medication my family member was on. He was over an hour late to the appt and then checked his watch the entire 6 mins he was in there. He acted like we were bothering him by asking him questions.

Recently I received the worst patient care I have ever experienced, and that includes a drunk dentist, so my bar is pretty low. I waited an hour before I was taken back, which I understand.things get busy, stuff happens... I'm understanding of the roles that each part of the office play. However, after speaking with the nurse and then a medical student, whom I thought were great, dr.Turpin came in for just moments, had no clue of my previous history, dismissed my concerns, and just left.
