Dr. Everett P Kirch

I had a colonoscopy with Dr. Kirch. He prescribed the worst possible prep in the world. But what really bothered me was that his website said he treated hemorrhoids. I asked about that during my initial appointment. He said it is tough getting old. At my colonoscopy I knew he would observe the condition. Due to the prep, I was torn up. I asked after the procedure again about hemorrhoids. His reply was live with them till you die. I didn't think that was an appropriate or helpful answer at all.

Dr Kirch is one of the best doctors I have been to throughout my life, and I've been to quite a few (many, many) He is not only knowledgeable and an expertise in his field of gastroenterology. He is also very kind, caring and compassionate. He has always given me and my daughter whatever time we needed to answer our questions and make sure we understood our situations and treatment plan. He can also be quite funny when appropriate. Even though he is a GI specialist, he wanted to know all about us, as whole human beings. The way all doctors should be. My daughter who was also one of his patients, passed away in May 2019. When he found out, he was genuinely sad. He shared with me that he actually learned something from her that has helped him in treating other young people who have the same affliction. In follow-up visits, whether a month or 6 months later, he'd ask me how I was doing related to my daughter. He remembers his patients. And I will always remember Dr Kirch's huge heart and smile and of course his famous words "DIARRHEA IS YOUR FRIEND, CONSTIPATION IS YOUR ENEMY " I must add that his staff is amazing as well. Dr. Kirch and his associates were all very professional. Dr. Kirch kept me informed throughout my procedure; from what I could expect to his findings afterward. I highly recommend him.

I have a colonoscopy every 5 years because of family history. Dr. Kirch has been my doctor for 20 years. I am very pleased with his care. I feel confident in his ability.

I have been seeing Dr. Kirch for colonoscopies over the past 13 years. He was also my wife’s gastroenterologist for years as well. He is professional and to the point. I trust him and think he is a great doctor.

The procedure went very well. Dr Kirch and his staff were efficient and appeared very knowledgeable. At all times I knew what was going on and all questions/concerns were answered. Will not hesitate to return for any needed treatment.

I don't how to take him,in hosp. For upper GI was great,kidding laid back office visits,it was like he didn't want to be there,I'm a really good judge of character but he has me stumped.

Dr. Kirch takes the time to explain your medical history and how it relates to the latest research and studies on the topic. In addition he always takes an interest in you as an individual and your surroundings.

Dr Kirch was professional and listened to my needs. Staff were great.

Dr. Kirch is an amazing Dr. He is very knowledgeable. He is also very understanding and compassionate. I would highly recommend this Dr. He has been taking care of my family for many years. Truly a wonderful man!!

In the hospital for severe abdominal pain and bloating. Had to have endoand colon scopes. This doctor explained everything by coming to my hospital room before the procedure. Very nice doctor! Would recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Kirch is always pleasant and informative, so I have no complaints. I only wish someone had been in the office who could make appointments, as the girl told me she couldn't do that. Also, I didn't get a requisition for a blood test for my next visit and was told she would mail it to me. Never got one.

Dr Kirch was straightforward with my diagnosis and answer all my questions in a simple way. Very knowledgeable. I was looking for somebody who would give me time to explain and make sure I understood. I really appreciate his honesty.

Dr. Kirch performed my previous colonoscopy 12 years ago. It was a good experience and I decided to have him perform the same procedure this time since I felt comfortable and confident with him and his staff. I would recommend his services to any of my family or friends. I am very satisfied.

My initial appointment was fine but later as a follow-up, when I called as requested to report in on whether a treatment was proving beneficial, I was very disappointing when neither a nurse nor the doctor returned my calls over 48 hours.

I was referred to Dr. Kirch my my regular doctor for colonoscopy. He was very knowledgeable and explained everything and answered every question. He was pleasant and I would see him again.

I wish that I could give him no stars. He did not listen to me at all and told me my issues were weight and diet related. I felt like all he was doing was shaming me and was not helpful.

Dr. Kirch ordered blood work and an x ray and when I didn't hear back in a week I called for the results. I was told they had been put in another patient's file and they just found them. They told me the doctor would call me later. The next day his nurse called me instead with the results and told me to just stay on the plan the doctor prescribed. No follow up visit, nothing. I had been going to Dr. Kirch since he graduated medical school, since 1977, but no more. I have suffered too long.

I saw Kirch 3x, each time he acted like a jerk (I suspect because of my insurance) and refused to validate my symptoms. He interrupted me a lot, told me I was making things up, that my problem was diet and chronic inflammation. When I showed him the results of my HIDA scan (Gallbladder Test) he told me surgery wouldn't help bc my problems weren't GB related. I started tearing up and he mocked me. I'm now a month post-op and doing FANTASTIC. Kirch is has abuser vibes and I feel bad for the staff.

He listens and he cares!

My daughter saw this Doctor, he was not helpful at all.Went to ER for pain, they did a cat scan, advised her she had proctitis, made an appt with Dr. Kirch, but was having more pain, tried to call the office to get in sooner, left messages for nurse, it took me to finally call before we received a call back 2 days later. She was able to get in sooner, but was told by the Dr, colon's do that sometimes. No colonoscopy needed, did not feel that it was serious - new Dr, she has ulcerative colitis!

Dr. Kirch is a great doctor. I went to him for digestive issues, and after changing my direct I wasn't getting any relief. He schedule a colonoscopy right away, and it was discovered that I had a large tumor in my colon. Although he was about to go on vacation, he made sure I got in with a surgeon ASAP, and took the time to call me and discuss options after I underwent other tests. He made it his priority to make sure I was taken care of, and was very friendly and compassionate.

He is a very rude Doctor; no patience at all with patients.
