We almost walked out. The lady that took all the information was very rude. She had a really bad attitude. She talked at us not too us. However, I am so happy we remained because Dr Mahaney was very calm and comforting . He actually looked at the MRI and was able to see how he could help me. Another pain doctor said he could not help that disc area . Dr Mahaney explained how he could help my Debilitating pain from that area. I will be doing the mild procedure with Dr. MahaneyI trust him. He has a very soothing Demeanor. I’m looking forward to know pain very soon. Waiting now for my surgery date.

Dr. Mahaney is a wonderful doctor and has helped me with my pain. The staff at the Cape Coral office is extremely rude. When you are getting frustrated with the call they immediately get snippy and rude, overtalk you and then hang up. This happened to me twice and it will not happen again. If this cannot be handled by the doctor, then I will either see him in Fort Myers or will be finding another pain management doctor. The staff are the first encounter you have when you come into the office. With their attitudes, I'm surprised they have any patients at the Cape Coral office.

Knowledgeable, kind and experienced with Medtronic pumps (rare and confidence abiding).

Dr. Mahaney always takes time to listen. He is helpful and kind. More importantly, he treats you like an individual and gives a treatment plan that is specific to your personal needs. I am truly greatful that he is my doctor.

Caring and considerate! After a major spinal infection from another prominent physician in the area which lead to a laminectomy, we found Dr. Mahaney, this was in 2007. We both see him as patients and had done a wonderful job! From epidurals to radio frequency abilation to stem cells. We can’t thank him enough. Staff is wonderful, you will not be disappointed.

I have been with Dr.Mahaney for over 4 years,I will remain with him for the rest of my days,he is a compassionate,caring, Person,a quality very hard to find,also the people that work with him,are very far &few,the BEST. I have been with this doctor about 3 years now, and I could not imagine a more caring, knowledgeable doctor. I have a semi rare kind of arthritis, especially in woman and severe advanced osteo.. I love this office, their professionalism and caring. Highly recommend. I came from NJ> and the pain management there was awful.

wonderful employees and Dr Mahaney is a great doctor!! He understands his patients, and gives superb care, and always checks to see they are doing ok. I would recommend him and his staff to everyone!!

I have an untreatable form of cancer, with Guilliane-Barre Syndrome. My P.C.P. sent me into Hospice Care, but there is only 1 in my County, who did not have the ability to help me. My pain level was off the chart (meaning a "10+"!). Dr. Mahaney is the only Dr. who would help me, providing me with a Medtronic Pain-Pump. I now have nearly a Level "1" pain level on a daily basis! Dr. Mahaney has a deep understanding of CANCER PAIN, is working only to help others. I am BEYOND BLESSED that he helped!

Dr Mahaney has been my pain mgmt Dr for quite a few years and has always treated me with respect and caring. Chronic pain is a difficult malady to live with and with all my symptoms and changing problems I give Dr Mahaney high marks for trying to ease my pain. He is a very busy MD and sometimes difficult to see as soon as needed but he and his staff do the very best they can. There are four Drs in his office that can make seeing someone on an urgent basis somewhat quicker. No Lee Health=5 Stars

Does not really care about his patients, only about his reputation. He has looked me in the eye and lied to me at least 3 times in the past 5 years. Very poor bedside manner. I will no longer see this doctor. His office staff are very caring and responsive to your needs and questions, I give them an A+. The nursing staff is pretty good except for a few bad apples.

excellent doctor, staff and administrative services, not so much. Long wait times, over booking, authorization process is very slow, phone calls (except for making appointments because they try to jam as many people in there as possible) require you to leave message which will be returned in 48 hours. Sometimes you can't wait 48 hours. Urgent appointment still took a week to get in.

He understands when you are in significant pain and the medical reasons behind it, and does his very best to help alleviate that pain using non-surgical techniques, and then when necessary, advising you to seek surgical procedures. He is extremely knowledgeable, unbiased and recommends the very best short-term and long-term solutions to address your pain.

I recently had a bad experience with my prior PM doctor and scheduled as a new pt with Dr. Mahaney. I showed up on the wrong day and the staff asked Dr. Mahaney if he could fit me he said yes (that is why the wait time, but it was ok I was not scheduled that day). I am very pleased with the staff and doctor. I will be sending patients his way!!

Kind and considerate. Showed me my MRI, explained my condition and gave me options. I took the pain medication injection, I couldn't believe how painless the injection was and the instant relief.
