Dr Bonaroti sent in a different doctor for my appointment with HIM. The doctor, whose name I don’t even know, was rude and dismissive. Dr Bonaroti does not answer msgs left on his patient portal. He also did not call me when I did talk to his staff about having questions regarding my medical treatment. It is not acceptable to treatment. If I could give him ZERO stars I would in honor of the ZERO patient care I received from him.

Dr Bonaroti did my neck back in 2017 and its all still great.

Made three trips there and this surgeon did absolutely nothing to help my pain. Orderd several thousand dollars worth of tests and then told me to go to a Pain Clinic. A Pain Clinic will not operate on all these bulging discs. He did not as much even feel this bump that is next to my spine. I have had right shoulder excruciating pain that radiates in my arm. My lower back is killing me. He did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! I WILL NEVER GO BACK! Not sure who is giving him all these nice eye catching reviews. Maybe he has his staff giving good reviews. Very displeased so far . Been sitting in waiting room for 2 hours and haven’t seen the doctor. Rediculous!

Dr Wells & Dr Bonaroti exemplify what every neurosurgeon should be. They go above and beyond their call of duty. Their response times/ callbacks were vast. I would recommend this surgical group to friends and family.

Explains everything so I understand and has time for my questions and likes to figure out what is wrong before just surgery

Have used Dr Bonaroti for couple years now and he's the reason my son is walking today after an industrial accident ...Really like him

Everyone was great there. They are great. I was happy with them. When I am in need of The Surgical Spine Associates again/ I will be there with Bells on. They are great.

Excellent bedside manners! Very informational visit. Made me feel comfortable about my condition and possible procedures to help with pain. Would highly recommend over AHN doctors. I didn’t feel like a number there.

Doctor Boniroti went above and beyond what I expected. Not only providing me the information in which was needed to make an informed decision on my medical care but took the time to explain everything. This clearly shows that he cares and treats them as individuals, not just another patient. I would highly recommend him to anyone. I'm a return patient. When I started experiencing lower back pain I trusted the expertise of Dr. B. I am pleased with their concern for a treatment plan that was set up for me. Both Doctors explained thoroughly the problem and solution process. Bob Bafuma

Dr Bonaroti was very accommodating and did everything he could to assist in my care. I've never had a neurosurgeon personally call me on more than one occasion to check in on me and answer my many questions. It's clear he cares very much about his patients!

When my long and complicated medical history was presented to Dr. Bonarodi, I had suddenly lost the ability to stand and to walk because one of my lumbar discs had crushed a portion of my spinal cord. He addressed my concerns, surgically removed the offending part of my spinal column, and managed my follow-up care so well that even he was surprised on the day that I was able to walk into his office without a cane. I am in debt to him for restoring my quality of life. I highly recommend him! He’s amazing! Dr. Bonaroti is probably one of the finest doctors I've ever met. Professional and caring. He did my surgery and set up therapy. Anyone needing his type medical care would not be disappointed. Unfortunately can only give 5 stars.

Dr. Bonaroti and his staff go above and beyond to provide first rate care to their patients. Dr. B truly cares about his patient's well-being. I caught on to it with my first visit. My surgery was on a Thursday and the doctor called me on Saturday to see how I was feeling. I have never had a doctor call me, let alone on a Saturday, it has always been a nurse or receptionist. That was the biggest surprise, but also a huge indication that he really cares. I give kudos to all of the office staff as well as his surgery team at the Gamma center. Words can not express how grateful for Dr. Bonaroti and the entire staff at Surgical Spine Associates that I am. I have had nothing short of excellent care. They work as a team to get you taken care of as efficiently and effectively as possible while adding a personal touch. Dr. Bonaroti has a very easy going personality and takes time to listen. I came to Dr. Bonaroti after having a previous bad experience with another spine surgeon. Not only did he willingly take on my case, but he also fixed me up so that I now feel “good as new”. Both he and Mark called me after my surgery. I have never had an experience before where my doctor and his staff checked in on me personally. In my opinion, Dr. Bonaroti is the best back surgeon and since I have had multiple problems due to osteoporosis and osteoarthritis, he has always been able to help me and does everything possible to avoid surgery whenever he can. The surgeries I have had, have helped tremendously. I wouldn't go to anyone else. He's the BEST!! I've referred friends to him and they've been satisfied also. Doc "B" is like dealing with a member of the family. He listens intently, he respects his patients and his surgical skills are unsurpassed. All in all, he's the only doctor worth his salt!

I was responding to one of his patients, who thought he was no longer in practice. His last visit was in Monroeville. I read that someone saw him in Pitts. on Asetique Way.

Dr Bonaroti preformed a dicectomy and continued a previous L2-L4 fusion through S1 due to complications from the 21 year old precedure. I had severe pain, was experiencing a severe foot drop, and was admitted to the hospital where i recieved surgury 2 days later. I was out of bed walking 2 days later! Only 3 weeks out, and im feeling better than I have since before I broke my back in 1998! My gait has drastically improved, and I am experiencing no pain. Albuquerque ia suffering a shortage of neurosurgeons; i feel blessed that he has been helping out, and I happened to need the surgery during his rotation. Awesome bedside manner, thouroughly explained my condition with imaging, and described the procedure. I would trust my spine with no other surgeon. Thank you so very much!!!!

Dr. Bonaroti is very caring. He has a great bedside manner and truly wishes the best for his patients. I feel very fortunate to be under his care. He has brought me into a fully functional life and I appreciate all his efforts.

I am a retired Union Carpenter who has suffered from over 40 years of abuse to my body, particularly my spine. I went to see Dr. Bonaroti at his new private practice at One Asetique Way. The facility was amazing in architectural design and beauty. It was located on a property that was breath taking and upon going inside the decor lived up to the beauty of the outside of the facility. The waiting room was so luxurious I had to take pictures of it. The receptionist was extremely friendly and helpful and I was even offered coffee. Although I came here because Dr. Bonaroti is a top level neurosurgeon I was pleasantly surprised the facility he has his office in now is extraordinary. My wait was comfortable and in no time I was ushered into an exam room that continued the relaxing but professional atmosphere. It did not take long for Dr. Bonaroti to come in greet me. Even though my situation is extremely complex and will most likely result in numerous surgeries he took the time to thoroughly

I last saw Dr Bonaroti in his then Monroeville office I believe in late May, we had made a plan for me to come back in 6 months and we would go ahead with the Fusion on my lower back. I have always had the utmost faith in his ability to fix me. He did 3 neck surgeries and 1 back surgery on me in the last 8-10 years. About a week after he saw me I received a letter that he had left the practice. To say I was devastated is putting it mildly. To start over with a new Neurosurgeon after all this time is gonna be a Nightmare, and to find one that I feel comfortable with is gonna be a slow road. I honestly feel like he left me and other patients hanging. He is an excellent Neurosurgeon and I would have never gone to anyone else ever. But now I have to.

He is fantastic. Great surgeon

I absolutely would recommend him to anyone. I had a big mess and he was able to help me and restored my quality of life. I’ve seen a few comment about where did he go. I can respond individually but hope who needs to know sees this. He went to Greensburg Pa. info came up in the internet in the last few days. He can run but he can’t hide. LOL

Poor communication, lessening trust, misdirected, maybe preoccupied. Unfocused.

Very disappointed. Expected better. Should have listened to what I found out!

An excellent surgeon who is conservative in his approach.

Had an appointment for about a month and a half to access whether revision surgery with Bonaroti in Pittsburgh (vs traveling to Detroit again) would be an option. They called the morning of (after I had taken off school & work and my mother did too) and told me that the appointment is cancelled because he longer does those surgeries. Would have been useful to know beforehand!

Dr Bonarati is the best of the best. You may have to wait to see him but when you get in the exam room you know he will not rush you and truly cares. His staff is terrific too.

He is a superb Dr and gives you the reassurance of he knows what he is doing and his P.A. is the same way way. She is on top of everything he does, so don't ever under estimate a PA,s knowledge on what they know. They work as a team and they are very good at what they do. God Bless them both.

Dr. Bonaroti is a very caring doctor. He takes his time with you and he listens. Never in a big hurry to get to the other patients. Number 1 in my book!

My husband broke his neck and Dr Bonaroti an Megan were so good to us. They were professional and explained things to us in a way that we could understand. His staff in the office are fantastic! Friendly and helpful. Make you feel like they have known you forever. My husband's injur could have been life changing but thanks Dr Bonaroti., he is making a full recovery
