To be clear, this 1-star rating may not accurately reflect Dr Kawano's actual skills or effectiveness--because it was only after 1.5 months & 5 calls to her office that I finally received a voice message from her stating that she is "full" & not accepting pts. I was referred to her by a PsyD, a psych APRN-Rx, & my OB-GYN. Unfortunately, I've found that these high recommendations are unwarranted. Any dr/dr's office who cannot truthfully answer questions re: availability cannot possibly be trusted

Best Psychiatrist in Hawaii!!! Plain and Simple.

Dr. Kawano is positive and she has up lifting spirit. I have been under her care for long time and I have never doubt her care and judgement. She has active listening skills. I also had a Psychologist, she communicated well with the Psychologist, so that I felt comfortable. She is a great physician.
