Dr. Esther Clayton and her staff were absolutely wonderful! Would highly recommend her for your gynecological needs. She is so very kind and professional putting you at ease before during and after your procedure.

If I could have give this a negative star,I would have.DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR. I moved to Melbourne in 2021 & needed a gynecologist. The ONLY reason I went to Dr.Clayton’s office was because it was near to my primary doctors office and I wanted to do both of the doctor’s office in 1day. That was my mistake. Her office only cares about if you keep making appointments, so that she can bill the insurance exorbitant amounts, part of which you’ll have to pay ofcourse. The doctor herself only chats with you and it feels like she does not even listen to my issues. She wants to be in and out of a room in 2minutes so that she can see as many patients as she can in one day. I needed an OPTUM Rx authorization for my birth control which I needed to regulate my period and was very important to me and her office did not do that for 3 MONTHS. I’m struggling so much currently because of this. In these 3 months I’ve called her office pretty much EVERY DAY. They picked up my call twice and said they would authorize this medicine (without it Walgreens will not give it to me) & they have not. I’ve almost begged them to and then decided to find a new doctor. If you want your doctor to be on your side and not having to beg for appointments or prescription refills, DO NOT go here. My primary care doctor even messaged her personally as they know each other, that also did NOTHING. I’m shocked and so angry at her office and her practise. She should not even be allowed to practice according to me. I don’t want anyone else to end up in my position so take this as a warning

Welcoming and professional. The entire staff was pleasant and attentive. Dr Esther Clayton gave me all the time I needed to talk about my concerns and ask questions about them.

I am writing to express my appreciation for the excellent care I received from Dr Clayton. In all my years of needing medical care, I have never encountered such an excellent Doctor who was as high spirited, enthusiastic, and incredible at her job. I was throughly impressed with Dr Clayton. She was also one of the friendliest, most qualified Doctors I have ever encountered. She knew what needed to be done, and did it with a smile and compassion. She exemplified the kind of qualities that people recognize as being an outstanding role model. During her my appt., she consistently met the criteria of being dedicated to exceptional care to her patient, she was a skillful communicator, provided an extraordinary service, demonstrated as a team leader and dynamic collaborator. Dr Clayton went above and beyond and I truly believe that Dr Clayton is an asset to Melbourne Gynecology. Please keep up the good work, the positive attitude, and the superior patient care.

Dr. Clayton takes time with me and answers any questions I have. She is informed and keeps me abreast of new medical information.

The doctor is nice caring and probably does a good job as a gynecologist. I have a problem with how risk adverse she is and I'm no longer comfortable as a patient. When confirming my pregnancy she suggested I avoid the outsides so I could avoid zika virus even though there hadn't been a case in Florida in over a year. She was wearing a double mask and a shield over a year and a half into the covid craziness. And while this will bring comfort to a lot of people it makes me realize how much she lives in fear and how much fear colors her decisions versus benefits like the benefits of going on nature walks while pregnant. I don't feel comfortable letting people driven by fear to an illogical degree make decisions about my health. She's been my doctor for almost 8 years but I am switching away now. I have been trying for 6 months to get my medical records sent to my new doctor. For four months they were going to send them to me for the last two they needed to send them to a doctor here. I have emailed twice with zero response and no phone call back. Keep getting voicemail. I liked dr Clayton when I lived in Melbourne but the office staff is severely lacking on follow through or answering their phone I have been trying for 6 months to get my medical records sent to my new doctor. This was my first visit with the practice and she is by far the nicest most caring Doctor I have dealt with in a very long time. She has a heart and cares about her patients and staff.

My first appointment was great. I felt like she Dr. Clayton explained herself very well and understood my complaints and ran some tests and confirmed a hormone disorder. During our 2nd appointment because of high blood pressure, cholesterol, and the hormone issue she wanted to switch my birth control so she gave me a couple month supply of samples. She didn't ask any questions about my lifestyle and suggested I stay away from chips and dips (which if she asked about my diet at all she would know I dont even buy that stuff) and go for more walks. I called a total of 10 times after the samples were running out and then totally ran out because she needs to call in the new prescription for the birth control.... she NEVER called it in. They said she was going to have it send in.. when I call the pharmacy they dont have it and when I called Dr. Clayton's office and spoke to the receptionist she told me they spoke to the pharmacy and I already picked it up. This has been a nightmare of a run around. I have been off my birthcontrol for over a month now because of this. I'm a newlywed and not trying to have a little one our first few years of marriage so this is very important for our family plan and the hormone regulation. I make all my appts for the 1st in the morning so I can get to work. I wait around an hour each time because she runs late. I feel the office should call me if she isn't coming in at her scheduled time. I can see if this happened once but its every time for 8 years that I have been going there. This is not my concern because I understand she is busy. I have a real problem with this...I have called pretty much every day for a month since the end of January, but only 4 times I left messages trying to get a script for my yearly mamo which is for February and no one picks up or returns calls. I will now need to find another place.

I have been seeing Dr. Clayton for my women's health care for about eight years now. I have the upmost respect and trust for her and her team. I am always treated with kindness, and receive outstanding care. I never have to second-guess anything, and feel confident when I leave. Thank you for being the best OB/GYN in Brevard.

I am finally leaving a review after being a parent here for a couple years giving benefit of the doubt every time. Fed up. Very unprofessional. My loss should be your gain. You have been warned.

My wife went there. She didn't have a light so she used her cell phone light. Totally unprofessional. After paying for the embarrassing work she changed doctor's.

The doctor would schedule different appointments to collect several co-payments. For instance, the doctor scheduled a mammogram at an outside facility which I receive the results via postal mail. After I received my results, I was informed to schedule another appointment. Whereby I would be required to pay yet another co-payment. In my humble opinion, this doctor gives me the impression they are ripping patients off which is pure corruption. Repeatedly requiring patients to return for several appointments; moreover, it involves patients to pay multiple co-payments. To conclude, after leaving several messages, I realized Gail (office staff member) was not going to return any of my calls knowing I had an upcoming surgery appointment scheduled. I promptly researched for another doctor for a surgical consult, was given a different diagnosis and my health issues were swiftly rectified. I will never return to Dr. Clayton’s office again. Because of Dr Clayton’s neglect, I lost an ovary and tube in my 20s. It could have been avoided and saved. I had gone in for months complaining of constant pelvic/back pain and trouble with urination. I had cried from the pain during her pelvic examination and begged her to do more than a uti check (because this had been going on for months where otc pain meds didn’t dull the pain). She instead ate her lunch (because she “missed her lunch due to over scheduling” ) and talked about her son and insisted I was just having a urinary track infection for the fourth time. They never sent the ultrasound orders after I pleaded with her to; I had called her office three times asking them to send them over months and the ultrasound place even called them to ask for the orders. I ended up in the emergency room because I couldn’t bend my abdomen to stand without throwing up. Turns out I had a 12cm mass on my ovary that could have been stopped if she had put me on birth control when I first visited her for the pain when it was much smaller. My lower abdomen was protruding dramatically from it and you could feel the mass from the inside. Now, I will hit menopause early and may possibly lose my chance to have a child because of her; and am in debt having to pay for emergency surgery and my abdomen has multiple scars forever. I went to Dr.Clayton in February of 2020.. I had a procedure done with her, new procedure to her..but I was open to it and it was not cheap. It did not work, at all. There was no follow up from her office, I mean zero..when I called it was always voicemail, rarely..rarely would there be a return phone call. Then, I receive a bill from a lab to the tune of over $1000! I immediately addressed it with the office and was reassured it would be taken care of. Apparently, she sent off a sample I never authorized. They did not take care of it. I continued to receive bills..I would call the office and leave messages, I went in person..I called the lab and they could not do anything without DrClayton stating I was not responsible for it. Now, it is in collections!! Affecting my credit! They still have not returned my calls. Yesterday I get an email from them with..those lab results!! What?! I do not recommend visiting this doctor. I was billed for procedures I never got done. The receptionist, at the time, was extremely unprofessional and never returned calls. I tried to resolve issues with medical codes that were incorrect and the medical staff would tell me to contact my insurance. This practice seems shady and something odd is going on for sure. After years of going here I will not be returning. Dr. Clayton is wonderful but that's about the end of it. I received a phone call a few months ago in regards to my heavy bleeding and 10 day menstrual cycle... Except that isn't a problem I'm having. When I explained this to the receptionist she proceeded to argue with me and interrupt me repeatedly as if I don't know what's going on with my own body. Getting refills of my prescription has been a headache and a half. The pharmacy faxed my request Wednesday and I never had anyone respond. I ended up making a different appointment with Planned Parenthood just so my prescription wouldn't lapse. In the end I had a voicemail from this office this morning blaming the pharmacy. Love the doctor and staff but I’ve waited well over an hour every time before being able to see the doctor.

The appointment was quick and Dr. Clayton was wonderful. She was warm and caring and answered any and all questions I had.

After three years my IUD began causing me severe pain. I called the office to schedule a removal and they were so helpful in finding a time that worked for me. They communicated with me any cancelations they had in order to get me in sooner, something I truly appreciate. They were even able to get me in last minute/see me between other patients. I had to wait a while but I was more than happy to wait considering they managed to squeeze me in. Everyone in the office was so KIND and understanding, even though I was quite hysterical about everything. The calm atmosphere and caring staff made me relax and feel comfortable during the removal. I wanted to thank the staff for their kindness, support, and also thank them for believing in my pain. It’s very difficult, especially as a woman, to find a doctor that not only cares for your wellbeing but also truly listens when you say “THIS HURTS”. Thank you also for respecting my bodily autonomy and asking me what I wanted to do regarding my situation instead of just choosing for me. I went in due to fibroid pains and to go over my ultrasound. I read some people complaining about time. I realize that when she came in with me she took her time instead of rushing in and out. She definitely make sure that she go over all of your problems. I will wait for a dr who take their time to make sure that I am examed thoroughly and make me feel like they actually care.

Im very satisfied with Dr Clayton. She takes her time with you which means allot. If there’sa wait time it don’t bother me. While having several procedures I got a bit nervous and she took her time I really appreciate that. I would recommend her to anyone.

I was a patient of Dr Clayton for a few years about 10 years ago. I left her as she was always running really late and I had the first appointment of the day. I understand doctors have emergencies, but I used to have a GYN/Obsterician in Tampa that was extremely busy. First, he was rarely late by an hour, and if he was, the staff let me know so I could decide. I did not feel the staff "cared" nor did the doctor. She took care of me as a patient decently, but I don't want to pay for someone that is irresponsible, inconsiderate and unreliable. I worked in Orlando, her first appt of the day was 9:30, and it would be 10:30 before she would arrive. I would miss a half day of work. I will never go back as it was very frustrating every single time. I have since gone to the First Health docs in Viera and LOVE THEM. Highly recommend. She may be great now-a-days but that habit doesn't change easily.

Dr. Clayton is wonderful and spends time answering all of your questions. Her staff is kind and very helpful. The only issue I have is that the appointments take so long. I have not been to any appt. where I did not have to wait for an hour or more. Highly recommended, but be prepared to wait.

It is a mess. Dr has put down the wrong code for my visit TWICE and refuses to fix it, surely to get more money out of my insurance and co-pay. Im in the process of reporting this suspicious practice to my lawyer and insurance. Additionally the office is a furnace inferno where they never fix the AC and the drs visit for a health concern was a joke. STAY AWAY.... It is a mess. The doctor's are nice but the ethics are TERRIBLE! I was called today to be informed that I had an infection. I said ok can you write me a script? NO, I have to go in and talk to them about it in person first. I said ok, can I come in tomorrow? NOPE. EARLIEST APPOINTMENT IS A WEEK OUT. So you're telling me that I have to suffer from this infection for an additional week before you will write me a script for it just so you can see me in person?! WHAT?! So I ask if I can have my results and take them to a doctor that can see me tomorrow. They refused!!! So unethical and cruel to force your patient to suffer like this!. I waited two hours to see Dr. Clayton. The one toilet was clogged in a small waiting room with 14 women in it. The receptionist had two phones to her ears at one time. There were at least 50 dirty speculums (those clamps they use to yank you open) directly outside my room in a red bucket in the sink. If I had seen it before I went in, I would have walked out immediately. I went here because I wanted a female doctor and walked out absolutely horrified!!! I waited two hours to see Dr. Clayton. I had a great experience with Dr. Clayton and her staff today! The doctor was super nice and made me feel comfortable during my examination. She is personable and you can tell she really cares about her patients. I would certainly go back.

Dr. Clayton takes time to listen and understand all of my concerns and reasons for each visit, making the visit feel interpersonal rather than a rushed visit like most doctors. I always feel very comfortable when I go, which is important for these types of visits because I’m able to address any concerns and questions openly and I always leave feeling good about the visit. She’s very informative and comfortable. She is great with kids as well..I have had to bring my son along who is a toddler and she talks to him and always asks about him. The front desk staff is awesome as well, always friendly and welcoming. I love this office & would recommend to anyone looking for a professional doctor with nice staff. Just terrible. Avoid if you can. Does not respect my time. Several appointments I had to wait 1-2 hours in the waiting room and NEVER an apology. The examination rooms are filthy. AWFUL!

Down go earth friendly staff but unprofessional. They seated in a room than moved me to a different room cause they misplaced me. Than I waited 2 hours for the Dr to even come for a 5 minute chat.

I had my 1st appt today and was scared when I read these reviews. So glad I didn't go by the reviews. I love Dr Clayton. She took the time and listened and made it so comfortable. The staff was so nice and I didn't wait for long at all!! Overall Great Experience!!

I came to Dr. Clayton after a horrible life changing experience with another gynecologist. From the first phone call to schedule my appointment I knew her office was the place for me. The receptionist was so caring and compassionate when I told her my story. When I met Dr. Clayton she made me feel like everything was going to be okay and she wanted me to feel like I would be a “normal” woman no matter what my circumstances. She scheduled an in house surgical procedure and was extremely professional and caring through the whole process. I am thankful to have found her and her office staff. Many reviews say there is a long wait time, but I would definitely say she is well worth the wait. I will choose to wait an hour for her because she took so many of my worries away just by her personality. Her office staff was helpful with medical record transfers and lab results. Dr. Clayton and her office staff are angels in my eyes after my experience with them especially after being horribly mistreated by another doctor. I would never go to anyone else. She never rushes me, always makes me feel as if I am her most important patient and pleasantly answers all questions. Dr. Clayton fully explains all procedures and what to expect. She is genuinely concerned about all her patients and is the best gynecologist I have ever been to. Also, her staff is great! Sometimes it is hard to get a hold of the office however, my messages have always been answered promptly.

The nurses, doctors r kind and polish to BUT THE PEOPLE WHO DO BILLING R TERRIBLE. They r continually making billing errors and take forever to fix. This past bill I didn’t even know I had until the lab that was used, notified me by mail. Now I’m going to have to pay at my expense. EVERY YEAR for 40 yrs, I’ve been able to get my yearly pap and mani along with colonoscopy, all paid for by whatever insurance I had, EXCEPT THIS YEAR.!!! I cannot believe the amount of problems this has caused!

omg so horrible just got a letter saying she was terminating our patient Doctor relationship and didnt even say why.. It wasnt even certified IM also in the middle of some procedures i need to do so awfull also when they seat you in the rooms you can hear everything going on with the patient next to you no privacy :( shes awfull and so is this place run the other direction !

There was an issue with everything. I would wait 1.5 hours to see her after my appointment, she'd take a bad sample, the prescription would be sent to the wrong pharmacy; literally everything was a train wreck. Would not recommend wasting your time.

I went to this office to have a routine PAP done, and followed up for another appointment the following week to have an IUD inserted. I waited about an hour before my appointment each time, and both times the nurse was having trouble with inputting my information into the system, which took even longer to sort out. Why they would need to do this twice in two weeks is confusing, but not the end of the world. Finally, I had the IUD put in... which was excruciating. I warned both the doctor and the nurse that I have a history of fainting spells, and they brushed it off... rushing me out of the office. I was able to walk to the front desk, but had to sit on the floor and told the nurse again that I was fading. She said, "we don't like fainters" and continued to try and hand me my paperwork to get me out of the office. I was able to make it to the door before stumbling and falling on the ground outside. Luckily there was a woman there who sweetly offered me some help... but I had to have my husband come and pick me up. I was horrified by their lack of patient care. I will be scheduling my follow-up appointment with another office. It's very hard to talk to their staff to be specific the people who sets your apt. They called me endlessly since Dec 30th about my appointment. Then called me again Jan 2 about information the lady called 4 times and its very annoying. The next day another person called and ask the same info, that is when I had enough I called my insurance to cancel the referral and called Dr. Clayton's office to cancel my appointment, I canceled it on the website as well , come today I received a notice on my cellphone that I have an appointment with her on Jan 9 at 3pm. I called again to make sure its canceled. This prompt me to write this review because if they tell me on Jan 9th that I have an appointment at 3pm and decides to charge me because I didn't go this is the only proof I have and the phone logs that I have. Dr. Clayton is very nice and she does seem educated, but she rushes you out the minute you step in. The medical assistants are very nice but the office receptionists are seriously lacking politeness! Grow up! Also, I was in contact with their billing office about incorrect lab codes. Apparently this is the norm for that office, so beware, and watch your bills or you'll be charged for procedures and care you did not receive... very shady. Dr. Clayton is a great doctor. Very attentive and thorough. Easy to talk to. New staff is amazing.

Dr. Clayton has been my gynecologist for over 2 years now and I wouldn't change anything. Her office staff is always so caring and always treat me like family. Dr. Clayton and her entire office staff make an otherwise uncomfortable and un-enjoyable experience not only tolerable but, dare I say, as close to "enjoyable" as you can get going to the gyno. I am so very Confused by some of the reviews! The office staff front administration, RN, ultrasound tech, and Dr Clayton was and is amazing, nice, polite. And has treated me like I was their number 1 patient. When I had my ultrasound to check to make sure I didn't have any cyst. I had to wait to see Dr Clayton. I was very scared waiting to speak to her. That is the only bad thing I can say. Is I waited an hour and a half. But I can say I understand because I wasn't suppose to see her that day at all! But to be told I was pregnant. I would have waited and waited for that news. I thought my baby days were over! I always hoped and prayed for atleast one more child! I've been going for 4 years now but I'm done. First year was awesome. Dr is really really nice and staff she had was a great team. Something happened and almost every time I go, she has new people. Get worse and worse. Waiting time is ridiculous. Oh and the ultrasound technician they have has no idea what she's doing. She said "this machine is new to me so I don't really know what I'm doing haha" really? So I'm done. Love the dr but can't trust her staff

Dr. Clayton is excellent but if you make an appointment here make sure you have your entire day cleared. Appointment times mean nothing and they will always call you in an hour or more later than your original appointment time. Apparently they have no concept of other people's time.

I have never written a negative review in my life, but I feel I am completely out if options in this situation. I went in for my yearly exam and was slapped with a nearly $400 bill in diagnostic labs. During my visit, after waiting over an hour past my appointment time to be seen, I was never advised that she was doing anything that wasn't routine. After months of calling to clear this up on a weekly basis and radio silence, I finally gave up. Will never be returning here.

The waiting area is dark, dingy and smells of urine. The front workers do not even look up at you when you walk in. I waited for over an hour to be called back. The assistant took my info and also performed the PAP. The doc walked in to say hello when I was leaving. The test was sent to wrong lab. Not sure if my PAP smear was even tested. My mammo results were never called to me and were abnormal. Very upset I was never contacted with them knowing malignancy. Negative 100 point review.

Beware! At well woman exam (covered 100%) Dr. Clayton asked ME a few questions regarding menopause. She then bills me $300 for separate office visit which is NOT covered. Unethical- she knew that by asking me those questions she could bill me for separate office visit (which is ridiculous since this was a "well woman" visit). Caroline in billing dept. is wretched- she said "you shouldn't have answered her questions" (REALLY?) and "welcome to life". To top it off, appt. took 2 hours 45 mins.

Dr. Clayton is very thorough with her patients and does not make you feel rushed. She is also very intelligent and wants to be available for her patients at all times to help them. When you see her, your not just a number.

The billing department was very rude. And the front desk had all the wrong information and was unwilling to do anything about it.

I saw dr. Clayton with an important issue i had. She took care of it with a hysterectomy wich was long due. 2 weeks after surgery i had a infection wich she passed me off to a urogelist. After goin through pure hell for almost 2 years i found the best gynecologist and within 5 min of speaking to her she set me up for surgeory. And here i am living my life again. Dont get me wrong dr. Clayton did rite by me as far as the hysterectomy but pushed me away. I saw dr. Clayton with an important issue i had. The office people are rude and kept missing up my info, a lot of times I would not get calls back, my prescriptions were not called in, they keep messing up my Ins,, even though I have been going there a year. Several times I thought of not going back, but it's hard for me to change Dr's but, this last time did it for me. Dr, Clayton us nice but always seems preoccupied, and tells me she is going to discuss a problem with me that I'm having or a concern, then doesn't. Or tells me will discuss it next time and doesn't remember we were and dosent have it in my chart that we were going to. It didn't seem that I and my medical issues were important to the doctor and r specially the staff. Dr. Clayton is an incredible doctor. She immediately made me feel at ease and within minutes, I felt that I had known her for years. We need more doctors like her. Last but not least, her office staff is great!

Dr. Esther Clayton she is very nice..... Nice does the trick for some, however doesn't know what she is doing! I was a new patient with her. From the beginning when she came in the room started talking about everything from how many kids I have to if i was going to school. Mind you she asked me like 3 times how old my girls were. Terrible dirty office. This office has people quitting and walking out. Staff can not answer simple questions from patient. Staff is untrained. The rooms are filthy. On my appointment for a biopsy,there was a tray set up in the room where they put me in. The stuff on the tray was new and clean but under the paper napkin there was old blood and debris. Disgusting! Then Dr Clayton came in to do my procedure with blood on her scrub top. So unsanitary! Don't they know they can transfer diseases!

she is an excellent Dr, Trust the process, It all depends on your attitude and patience. I am glad i found her.
