Physical medicine and rehabilitation, also referred to as rehabilitation medicine, is the medical specialty concerned with diagnosing, evaluating, and treating patients with physical disabilities. Knowledgeable, super friendly, and most of all, extremely patient with his patients. My fiancé suffered a TBI and saw Dr. Manalo for rehabilitation oversight. Dr. Manalo was beyond patient with him as he went off track a lot in the conversation, many times, and definitely extended the length of the appointment doing so. Dr Manalo was SO very patient and kind. At first he listened and nodded along but after a while he would gently redirect the conversation, not even in a way that was noticeable. We walked away from the appointment with all the answers we hope to get, and my fiancé had a nice pep in his step as he felt heard and respected by Dr. Manalo and his staff. (Unfortunately he hasn’t had the same experience with all of the physicians he’s seen during his recovery.) Dr. Manalo is a gift to his patients and their families.

Seen him for two years now. Compassionate, a great listener, and takes time to address my concerns and offers options to help address my spasticity issues - but still empowering me to make the final decisions as to the course of action. Just a tremendous doctor.

Dr. Manalo is a very good doctor. Dr. Manalo really understands and listens to his patients. Since Dr, Manalo left Vidant Outpatient Rehab in Greenville, NC i haven't been able to find another doctor like him. I miss him very much!!!
