Dr. Ernest Cleage Martin

They do not take patients seriously, They do not prescribed medication correctly. They act as if they are better than everyone else. I've seen 3 different people here. They do not return phone calls and they make you come in monthly for PROZAC... which my family doctor now prescribes 6 months at a time.

Their providers and staff are wonderful. Tracey helped me tremendously after having post-partum anxiety. I continue to see her ever since. This practice is great!

This place is the biggest Joke! My wife had to call this place everyday to get a refill for a medication that she has to take everyday. She called for 3 months straight , and it took them 3 months to call in her prescription. The employees here are very rude. I do not recommend this place!

absolutely disgusted with the service of this facility. there’s a clear lack of responsibility and care. leaving HIGH RISK patients without medication for weeks or MONTHS at a time, with hardly any communication or apologetic behavior. nurse line has horrid attitude and behavior over the phone, insulting and claiming that patients are unsatisfied with the care because of completely unrelated topics or issues, basically making excuses. “you’re only upset because im —*enter ANY minority* yes, the NURSE said this to the PATIENT. these are professional healthcare workers, seriously? no, patients are upset and tired of the constant HASSLE just to be able to receive the care they deserve. take your excuses somewhere else.

Have spent the last 6 months trying to get them to send in a prior authorization to the pharmacy for a med and I’ve called, left voicemails, they won’t do anything. Now I need a refill on a psych medication I literally can not go without and they won’t call me back. Everyone there has an attitude, they will answer and hang up on you. Send you back to the “nurse line” and no one will ever call you back. My therapist is amazing but she left from there because literally this place is AWFUL

I actually rated this group a one star, but I changed it to two because of the doctors there. They are professional and very thorough. However, the receptionist ladies make it not worth going there. They have messed up so many of my appointments (ones that I have set and ones that they have randomly assigned me) and then had the audacity to charge me for not canceling. I have even shown up for appointments for them to just now tell me that they had to change it. It is a complete MESS!! Dr Martin was very compassionate when I lost my mom. Tracy Campbell has been very thorough with my prescribed medicines, and my therapist Kelsey does a great job of normalizing my stressors. I would highly recommend them.

I was referred to Dr. Martin from my GP. First visit I was seen not be him, but a NP. She seemed well enough at the time, so I overlooked her not being who I was told. I would be seeing. My original Meds were changed and the new after a few weeks seemed to give me improvement. 2nd visit went nice as well, she allowed the amount of anxiety medicine prescribed to remain 4 times daily as needed, and was well aware I took it that many times (4) along with my Pristiq. It was agreed Is taper off in a few months to a lower dose. I ran out because enough was not given to cover 30 days and would leave me 7 days with nothing when taken 4 times daily, Again she knew I took them this much and when I called to request enough to fill the remaining time, a operator answered during business hours and was unsure why the office itself wasn't taking calls. But he was very kind and took down my message. I was never called back. I went a few days with nothing and my heart rate rate and blood pressure both raised dangerously high due to withdrawal after I had finally gotten it under control. I did the unthinkable, by their biased rules by taking a Xanax that I had previously been taking because I felt like I was dying. It helped and though my new anxiety med was far superior, I made it through. Next visit I was discharged after admitting this to her. I only still had Xanax because my previous had the med still because I auto fill all my scripts and my family picked it up for me each month due to the pharmacy being a ways from where I live. After the one time of taking it, I threw it out, and when it was filled again, I did the same. She demanded I go home, that very moment and bring both bottles back, but she was being dismissive and would not listen to anything I tried to say. I had trusted her greatly and now she was outright mean to me. I would have taken a urine test or anything, but was not even offered that choice. She scared me with threats of the DEA coming after me. I have been on anxiety meds 5 or so years now and have never abused them. Took as prescribed when needed, and I needed them greatly. Instead of listening to me, the fact I was not taking Xanax and had only done so under duress by error not my own, she said go home right this moment, bring them here so she could personally count them herself as well as my klonopin. I could not come back. I lived a 35 minute drive away, had to take my son to work and share my car with my sister, not to mention I didn't have the Xanax any longer. Which if I'd told her, because I honestly could not get a word in edgewise, this once nice, kind woman wouldn't have believed me or offered me chance to prove it. I called when I got home and said fine, I know I'm discharged because I can't come back that day, and asked that she please phone in 1 last pristiq scrip for me until I could find a new doctor. Something she had said she would do in the office even if I was discharged. I left this in a message, no return call, tried again later, still nothing. I am going to be without my badly needed Pristiq which has helped me so much and I've read leads to bad withdrawal until I can find another doctor, which is difficult with the insurance I have. So no that, and no anxiety medication. I wish now I hadn't thrown out the xanax. I would not recommend this practice to anyone. They don't have the decency to do what I've read is a normal practice of giving at least one refill of the none controlled substance. Heck they never even return calls. What seemed pleasant at first has become a nightmare and will only be worse in 2 days when my last refill given runs out. Make sure you see an actual psychiatrist instead of a RNP if nothing else, and don't let the fake comraderie fool you. If I end up hospitalized...well what happens then we'll see. I see LaRoysha PMHNP at this practice. She is amazing at her job and I never leave feeling confused or as if I've had no help. She is attentive, professional, and very competent. I don't second guess her decisions on addressing my mental health and what will work best for my condition. I highly recommend her. The front staff is great. They are always so nice, quick, and efficient. So far I have not had any long waits before going into my appointment. The establishment itself is always well cleaned and put together. I’ve never in my life had the experience of a doctor going to sleep on me. This actually happened while visiting Dr. Ernest Martin!

First off all staff was talking about current clients while I was in the waiting room. (Hippa) I have more comments but I hope they help some one out. Oh the lady helping me had her door wide open. ????

I have been a patient of Dr. Martin's for more than 6ish yrs...all I can say is this...office staff that has been there for the length of me ARE AMAZING...Yes I have to wait but I wait out of respect bc I know that Dr. S Martin is going to take care of me...she is a phenomenal person...she has helped me so much with all of my challenges in life...I'm so thankful that I have her as my psychiatrist...so for me the wait is well worth it, if she treats her other patients like me... then I know what I'm waiting for...there is always something or someone u may not like or disagree with some of office workers, but Honestly, that is life...so go somewhere else,...that is all u have 2 do...In all honesty I think dr.( both) Martin's for everything and more... Long waits

I was to be a prospective self par patient there. Because i questioned why i should be in need of a referral someone in the office called me back and said I was not a good fit for their practice. I am a CPTSD patient needing help and i was denied by help by office staff.

My mother has gone to this practice. She has been prescribedd psychiatric medications by Dr. Susan Martin. The only information that I can find, states that she is a pathologist. A doctor of pathology is not a specialist in psychiatry. Representing otherwise is fraud. Shame on this practice for taking advantage of vunerable adults.

If I could give them negative stars I would. They are refusing medication to a bipolar person because he is out of state looking for a job... Its nothing to call in medication to a pharmacy here but they are refusing my brother medicine.. when i called to voice my concern the office manager was very rude.. you could hear the distain in her voice. Its not smart to take a bipolar person off their medication cold turkey especially lithium. Im not a doctor and I know that.. They obviously dont care about their patients. Great practice, friendly people who genuinely care

Both Dr. Martin and Dr. Cooke have been a great help to me. I truly appreciate everything they do!

Never got to see him... saw some Nurse practioner a few times who admitted she has not done primary care for a while. No notes from one of visits in her computor. Returns calls super late when scheduled. Not impressed at all. She then sets me up with Dr Martin cause she claims he could answer my questions better. I go to the appt and its his wife a Pathologist ! Claims he was delayed at hosp. She is not licensed in mental health and did a through eval.. medical advice on meds etc. She could not refill my script again a Pathologist. I got charge 250 for someone else to call it in. I also paid a co pay of 500 they never credited to my acct. I am being billed by his office for his wife not licensed for mental health. Her visit and my insurance company thought I was seeing Dr Martin who I have never seen. Unethical practice to say the least and I would never return. aweful experience

Very selfish&don`t listen to people he sees. I wouldn`t let my cat go see him.

Answered a personal phone call during our session, and rescheduled the second session as a phone call, 20 mins before out appointment. I was waiting by the phone for an hour, finally called the office at 4:30, and they were already closed. He seemed less than interested, and texted on his phone during our session. I do not recommend him at all. His nurse however, that interviews you before you see him, was thorough and personable.

Worst office scam I’ve seen yet. You MUST come see the dr assistants to get meds no matter that you’ve been on them for years. This is to get money from the insurance companies and is terrible practice. The scam stops today for me. My appt was at 1 and my dr assistant isn’t even here, she had to run errands said the front desk. Oh so convenient as they knew I had a borrowed car. I honestly have mixed reviews about the practice. As for the people who work there, they seem to be genuinely good people. However, that is all the praise i can muster. I have been waiting for well over 5 months to have my medication preauthorized so i can purchase my meds and not have to worry about the charity of getting samples from the Drs. Why would you put me on medication but have no intention of prescribing it to me? I have reached out to the Dr office on many occasions. However, i have never gotten thru to anyone. I have continuously left voice mail after voice mail and never get a call back. My pharmacy has tried on many occasions to get my medication preauthorized and they have been met wtih the same indifference and lack of response. As of late, i have resorted to calling my insurance company to see if there is anything that i could do to help facilitate my medication getting preauthorized. They were more than willing to help. But guess what? After 3 days of zero call backs by the Dr office and not being able to get anywhere with the situation, they too have given up. i beleive this practice is more about getting insurance money and people thru the door than they are actually about completing anything they have started. Outrageous! I call for an appointment and the Asian woman answering the phone would not give me the information I requested and then hung up on me when I asked to speak to a manager. How dare you go off on people who are calling for help.

Long wait time. Care is less than compassionate. Atmosphere uncomfortable. Havent been here in a long time and Ive finally got the courage to seek help again elsewhere and get past my experience here.

When your doctor is yelling about you to her husband, knowing you can hear it, calling you a liar and insisting "SHE DIDN'T APPRECIATE WHAT I DID FOR HER, I DON'T WANT TO DEAL WITH HER ANYMORE" - it's time to find a new doctor. I would highly encourage you to find a different doctor.

Could never get in touch with staff unless the answering machine was considered part of payroll. Most messages left unanswered aside from the occasional voicemail. Impossible to get refills on prescriptions without a visit even if you saw someone within the last week. The staff, aside from the front desk clerks who were generally pleasant and polite seem unhelpful and the answering service, who you are most often referred to after 4 PM on Mondays through Thursdays (their only "servicable" days) are also rude and prone to hang up. This man literally saved my life. I was intent on ending it. Depression is the devil but he didn’t over medicate me or try to keep me in the hospital constantly. Instead he listened to me and he absorbed my feelings. He talked to me like a friend would and he advised me. He cared he really cared. He gave me his cell number just in case. And I used it a couple of times when I bottomed out. He has never made me uncomfortable or uneasy. He’s been there for me when my son died my dad died and my mother died. They are compassionate and caring and are able to “ paint a picture “ of my personal needs in a way that I understand, the same as I do for my patients (I am an RN), thus there is a higher chance of compliance......I am an advocate for Mental, Spiritual, Emotional and Physical Health. I can now recognize in others similar issues that I deal with..... I share my story and my experiences hoping to break the barriers / stigma that goes along with Mental Health......Sometimes you cant tell by looking at someone what they are dealing with....,This group is amazing in their abilities to get to the root of things and offer help.... he seems very good. listens. tends to run over appointment times. my last visit I waited over an hour, for which he did apologize. front desk told me my insurance was accepted. It ISN'T. Thus, I have paid out of pocket more than anticipated. They are closed on Fridays, so if you can, do not have a Monday appointment. Their answering service cannot seem to get messages to them. And, the charged me for a visit I cancelled via answering service. ?!***

I saw him when I signed into the Psych ward, He seemed to listen to the other patients but prabably they did not like his discision to not release them. I believe he was right. He released me and was helpful after my release in finding resouces that would help my psychological needs.

I've been withthis doctor nearly a year and hes seemed to care less and less. I just go in to get refills now basically. His PA is the worst, she doesn't know anything about the patients or their illnesses. I do not want to see the PA, but it seems like most of the time I do. This is new too as to begin with he was great, but now hes just gotten apathetic. He wont even make time to sign my damn Prior auth for my insurance. It's been almost a month now since he wrote that prescription too.

I was told by Dr. Susan Martin that I was "not a good fit" for their practice. She gave me an official letter when leaving stating in writing that I could no longer make an appointment with them. I did nothing wrong. Then, one week later, they sent the same letter through U.S. Mail which I had to sign for. Dr. Susan was very judgemental as well. I do not recommend. First of all, I adore Dr. E Martin and S Martin. They are both excellent doctors. They care genuinely about their patients. The problem is that they zero about when to arrange an appointment to where you can get seen without waiting sometimes up to two hours. I've had appointments where I've waited for hours o my to be told that Dr. E Martin had been called away to court and I could either come back later or make another appointment. If you are going to complain then take yourself and your Medicaid card to a free clinic. He doesn't have to see you stated supported freeloaders, but he does. Both Martins always more than kind and take their time at my appointments. Plus I see an awesome therapist.

A poor practice at best, where staff shows little to no apathy for patient needs. The practice is run like a factory. It shows little regard in truly wanting to help patients. If you are a robot, and just come in for medication, never disagree, or ask questions, then you might be fine. If this was a dentist, I could understand, but, look at the heading under the Doctor's name.

Dr. Ernest Martin has been very understanding to my mental issues and has worked with me to make sure that I am given the correct medicine. Dr. Martin has also placed me with a great therapist to help me to make the adjustments that I need to get my life on track with the issues that created drama within my life. My appt. was on 7/18/17 at 3:45 & 4:00. Have panic attacks, depression, anxiety. Office called that morning & cancelled. Was told "I did not fit the practice". DEVASTATING! NO HOPE NOW! If I called & cancelled the day of appt., I would have to pay a fee. He refused to tell why he would not see me. Unprofessional, Unethical. With my issues what psych. WILL FIT? I go to this doctor and he helps me with my medical issues, gives me the best medicine for my problems. I like this doctor and his knowledge for my problems. He is very helpful.

This by far is the best place I have gone to get help with my mental health. They have changed up my medicines a lot, but they were for the best and I feel so much better with what they are prescribing me. TL;DR I had to wait 1.5 hours to be seen on both of my visits. The care was very impersonal. After being very polite I was told by Dr. Martin “I will see you today, but if you cause another disturbance in my lobby you can get out and find yourself another psychiatrist”.

The wait time is HORRIBLE!! Patients are scheduled as early as 9:45 and he rarely gets to the office by 11. He once was a caring and dedicated doctor, now he sees more $ dollar signs.. I had very high respect for him at one time, now.. NO WAY!! Very unprofessional to keep his patients waiting for more than 2 hours before he comes to the office. If you are late, they cancel your appointment and charge you $50.. But he and his office staff thinks it is okay for you to wait on him!

Absolutely no respect for patient's time he even doesn't even show up! I came complaining about certain conditions, and he's trying to treat something completely different. I kept asking him for treatment to what I was complaining about, and he kept asking me how am I doing regarding what he thinks I am complaining about. We did tests, both written & blood, and he didn't score the written one. I had to press them to score the written one. They only looked at blood result after 2 months!

this doctor is an incompetent sorry excuse for a physician he has no regard for patients and little regard for appointment times. ALWAYS late for appointments. he prescribes a cluster of medications that have ill reactions with one another. He has his wife see patients and forge his signature on prescriptions. granted she is an internal medicine doctor. she has poor knowledge of medications for someone with a degree in internal medicine. I loathe them with a burning passion. Don't come here!

Calling all day for DAYS about a refill and it still hasn't happened even though he's done it before. My anxiety is really awful because of this. Thanks!!!!!

I like Dr. Martin and his wife Mr's. Martin they know what they are talking about. The only negative thing I have to say is waiting for hours at a time are unreal and unbelievable. But I would suggest to others because if you need an understanding of your mental disorder they are very good at explaining things in lamest terms. I just don't like how you have to wait for hours to see Mr. Martin but his wife tho she get you in and seen in very decent amount of time. They accept Medicaid but you miss your appointment and that's 25 everytime. I really don't like one of his secretary whatever she is she has a smart mouth. Worst experience I've ever had with any physician! Staff was also ride and asked what I was going there? I said I have an appintment. He was unconcerned that I had recent heart surgery that may have caused my depression. He seemed intoxicated when I was in his office after a 2 hour wait to see him. The waiting ares was full of people but several left upset about the long wait. I have great insurance and capability to pay but he didn't seem to know anything to do about depression?

I would never suggest this Dr to anyone! I was a patient there, I was needing help financial so they told me to go somewhere else that it they would fill my prescriptions. I called and called and they never helped me. I spoke to him at his office and explained my situation and he was very nasty. I never expected that from him. The wait time in his office is several hours. Its as if your time is not valuable. I don't understand how he stays in business. He literally did not care about my situatio
