Dr. Koon is very detailed and direct. He and his staff have excellent follow up.

I was his patient at T. Boone Pickens Cancer Hospital. He explained everything to me. I trusted him. He worked with a colorectal surgeon so that my hysterectomy and colon resection could be done in the same surgery. I highly recommend Dr. Koon!

As a nurse I've interacted with many physicians but what I found most valuable was Dr. Koon takes the time answering all your questions, and lays out your plan of care so you know and understand what to expect. You never feel rushed. I was so impressed with the speed that Dr. Koon and his team coordnated and consulted with all the necessary specialist for my care. My recovery was fast and uneventfull. He has been so kind to our Mother and she never once doubted anything he told her. After 4 rounds of chemo she had major surgery and then 3 more rounds of chemo. I live in Austin and after my diagnosis I was anxious to start my treatment. The Austin office didn't give me much hope of seeing me very soon so I requested an appointment at the Dallas Texas Oncology. My records were sent over on Wednesday and by Wednesday evening I received a phone call from Dr. Koon. He was concerned that my file might have been misdirected since I lived in Austin. I explained everything to him. He offered to talk with Dr. Teneriello in Austin and see what could be work

Dr. Koon did robotic surgery on me to remove pre-cancer and ran into a problem with an old hernia surgery scare. But he didn't abort the 10 hour surgery, he completed it and I was up walking the following day, doing great. I highly recommend him to everyone.
