Dr. Eric A Vasiliauskas

Dr. V has been my Gastro doctor, treating my Crohn's, for over 20 years. He has helped to save my life on two occasions ( 2, two-month hospital stays over ten years). As a research physician, he is curious about what ammunition he has to fight Crohn's, as well as contributing his own research to discover its possible causes. If you are battling Crohn's, Dr. V is the Brigadier General you want as your chief strategist. My quality of life is greatly improved, and I would not be alive without him.

Dr. V is the best of the best, as far as I'm concerned. He is very knowledgeable and compassionate in his practice. It's very clear that he has an excellent team around him and substantial resources. I drive over 100 miles for visits with him; I can't imagine going to anyone else.

Dr. V is very knowledgeable about IBD and about all the different medications, dietary options, etc. used to treat it. He has helped me make my IBD maintenance regimen as simple and comfortable as possible. It can take a while to get office appointments with him, but when I've had an urgent issue, I've been able to get pretty speedy responses and treatment adjustments by phone, which meets my needs.

Dr V , is very in tune with his patients . He listens to what you have to say , not just telling you what to do because he's the Dr. He is not willing to give up and makes you feel like he really does care about how you feel. He's very knowledgeable and truly wants you to feel better and have a productive life. I would recommend him to anyone. Wonderful bedside manner!!!

Dr.V is an excellent listener and is comprehensive in his review of the patient's medical history. He is supportive and can help the patient achieve their goals. He will explain all of your options in terms of both medication and diet. This is unique about Dr.V-many doctors will only explore medication to treat Crohns, Ulcerative Colitis and IBD. Dr.V can give you a well rounded explanation of what your treatment options are and will help you develop a plan for success! Thanks Dr V!!

If you see Dr. V, always get a second opinion on diagnosis and treatment plan. He makes significant mistakes on both.

This man knows his inflammatory bowel disease and know hoe to control flares. Great technical doc with a very personable bedside manner. Never feel rushed. Finally a Gastroenterologists that knows his stuff and cares about his patients. Thanks Doc!

He is very knowledgeable but impossible to reach. Any hour or day you call you are routed through an automated machine with no human being and end up with a hospital wide answering service not associated with his practice. None of the options include to speak to Dr or nurse or help with prescriptions. I have an email address for an assistant but have never received a response sooner than 24 -48 hours and it does not always resolve the issues. If you miss Dr. V's return call and try to call back, you will not get through and have to wait another day. Sometimes he doesn't return calls for 2-3 days. I am trying to find a new Dr. because I need someone I can more easily get in touch with when in a flare up.
