This is a great heart surgeon, in every sense of the word. I am amazed at what he did for me. I had the CABG done and I no longer feel like I might die. Man saved my definitely wouldn't be here without him so can't thank him enough when was dieing he made me feel pretty confident he knew what he was doing and that made me feel better and he's a really nice guy

Dr Sandwith along with Dr Patel and surgical team did an amazing quadruple bypass on me. I went in for a stint and Dr Powell turned me over to this team of doctors who gave me a new heart and another chance at life, what has been a blessing. I truly feel like a new man and I just want to thank you from the bottom of my heart (no pun intended :) I also want to thank George my CVICU nurse who got me up and going as soon as I got to CVICU out of surgery. Dr Sandwith is by far the best Cardio-Thoracic Surgeon in this area. My whole family will be seeing Dr Sandwith if the need arises. I've seen many of his patients recover and live their fullest lives. The negative reviews are people who are sad their loved one passed, but there are always 2 sides to the story and usually there were underlying issues the negative reviewers conveniently left out. Dr. Patel and Sandwith performed a 2x2 CABG surgery on me February 3rd, 2020. My surgery came about very suddenly and unexpected. Dr's Patel and Sandwith explained to me the details of what would happen before and after surgery when I would wake up. I never felt any worry at all. I knew then, I was in extremely competent hands. After the successful surgery a terrific team of doctors checked on me every day I was in the hospital and kept any questions I had moving forward in recovery answered. They also got me started on the right foot with an excellent home care team that works closely with their office to keep them informed on a part of my incision that was healing slowly. It was noted I have very sensitive skin and this was something I personally knew and dealt with, but he and his office stayed on top of it and also set me up with wound care visits. All has come along nicely. I would 100% recommend Dr. Patel and Dr. Sandwith to anyone needing this lifesaving surgery and I thank God I was placed in their skilled hands! My father is no longer with us because of Dr. Sandwith and Fort Walton Beach Medical Center. He and the hospital deserve no stars. I will pray for you does that sound familiar. The truth will set you free.

My husband walked into Fort Walton Beach Hospital to have elective abdominal aortic aneurysm surgery on 10/9/19, with Dr. Sandwith. After surgery my husband went into a coma and passed away on 10/12/19. My husband and I made a huge mistake by choosing Dr. Sandwith. I don't want another patient to make that same mistake. My husband and I trusted and believed him. I am devastated and my heart hurts. I will miss my husband of 58 years. I don't know much about dr. sandwith. I only saw him while I was in the hospital. The visits to his office were uneventful. They couldn't answer any of my questions. Yes, they were friendly and polite. But very evasive. Most recently, I had a visit to the ER. The doctor there did a CT scan of my chest, and told me my breast bone wasn't fusing. That would explain why I have so much chest pain. Sandwiths office was supposed to call me and tell me what dr. sandwith said about it. I ended up having to call them to find out, after 10 days. The receptionist said his assistant called and left a message. No one left a message. As for a phone call, I'm not sure if I got one or not. My phone records show I received a call on 9-5, but it shows I returned that call. The pain I'm in is so bad, I can't remember events of two days back. It's been almost six months since my surgery. Does anyone else out there still have this pain? My life has been hinged on doctors visits I can't afford, with no answers as to my chest pain. If I'm wrong tell me straight. Dr Sandwith performed lung biopsy on my wife.Highly skilled with the greatest bedside manner. We are both thankful.

Ten years ago 2-13-2010, Dr. Sandwith operated on my husband following a heart attack. In the months and years since his very successful surgery I have had doctors occasionally look at me surprised and say that they remember the case and say "Your husband was REALLY sick!" So I know the case was discussed around the hospital and my husband was not given very good odds. Dr. Sandwith fought for him and encouraged him in addition to doing very find surgical work. Dr. Sandwith was also uniformly courteous to nurses and family. This week my husband will play pickleball 2 to 3 times, have breakfast with retired colleagues and lunch with high school buddies, provide security at church, participate in American Legion and FOP meetings, delight in our grandchildren, laugh with family and friends and be blessing every day. Great Doctor took Good care of me !!!!!

I have first hand knowledge of Dr. Sandwith's skill. I went through a quintuple bypass. The most powerful memory of the event I have was the absence of fear. I literally owe my life to his efforts and my sanity throughout the procedure due to his personality. Thank you.

Dr. Sandwith was consulted on my husband's case. He needed bypass surgery. We appreciate Dr. Sandwith coming to speak with us, explaining to us just what was going on with his heart. We highly recommend Dr. Sandwith. He is humble and spiritual.
