Dr. Eric B Masternick

Dr.Masternick is a good doctor. But the office staff is pretty rude and they don’t follow through the insurance. They will ask you to sign forms to pay everything in full without correctly billing with insurance. They don’t answer phone calls from insurance . They will not cooperate with them to resolve the issues. They will ask you to pay everything in full . I would not recommend dealing with this office .

Dr. Masternick has a great bedside manner. He listens and gives options. I felt he was concerned about what was best for me and my feet. He is an asset to the Foot and Ankle Specialists of the Mid-Atlantic practice.

My new patient experience was Horrible. Once in the exam room I was advised the Dr. would be in shortly, I waited an extended amount of time and finally with concern I left the exam room and headed to the Front Desk prior to leaving the exam area I expressed my wait time concern and the person did not offer to check the status of the Dr. being able to see me. He seemed very accepting of me leaving. I also explained everything to the young lady at the front desk who had checked me in on arrival she too did not seem to care or offer to help by checking to see the status of the Dr. I am disappointed and feel there may have been other factors at play as it pertained to me as a patient….. They also made no effort to address my experience/concern…no subsequent outreach…. I plan to pursue my experience further with other health care entities. I would NOT recommend this practice to anyone that I know. Customer service should be paramount especially as pertains to health care providers.

Dr. Masternick is the best! He treated my husband's foot so well that I was encouraged to trust him with mine. Dr Masternick listened to my foot problems very patiently and explained my problems to me gave me the right medication and shoe insert .I can walk without pain now. Thanks Dr Masternick.

I could not be more pleased with the thorough care I received from Dr. Masternick and the entire staff through my foot surgery. I’m so happy with the results and Dr. Masternick’s laid back approach was a plus for me.

I cannot say enough how much I appreciate the care I've received from Dr. Masternick. I had a great explanation, with photo, of procedure that was going to be performed on my foot. The care I received prior to, during and after surgery was exceptional. The office staff keep things running very efficiently.

Bed side manners of a dead horse and intelligence level of one as well. He was the senior Dr during my wifes ankle surgery and didn't catch the fact that the anchor was placed in the wrong spot..my guess is he was sleeping...Careless, horrible to talk to, worst bed side manners and I don't trust his knowledge...good luck seeing this guy. We ended up paying a Real Doctor - to perform a second surgery...Unfortunately the damage to her ankle b/c of their carelessness can never be fully undone as they drilled large holes in the wrong part of her ankle. I had an appointment on Friday afternoon around 3. After Dr. Masternick examined my feet, he said that an outpatient procedure would help the pain in my foot. I asked him if he had time to do that same afternoon. He said they were a little short of nurses that afternoon but he thought they could do the procedure. He even went out and told my husband in the waiting room that I might be a little longer than expected and also explained the procedure to him. The procedure was done and I did not

I have used him for 2 issues now, and each time, I was very pleased with the approach and the outcome.

My 6-year old needed to have surgery on her left foot and was overcome with anxiety about the procedure. Dr. Masternick's bedside manner and personal experience had a calming impact on my daughter. Dr. Masternick and his support team were very professional and down to earth with my family and me. Should we ever required podiatric surgery in the future, we would go to Dr. Masternick's office.

Dr. Masternick helped me become well informed about my options, explained things in a clear manner that was devoid of jargon or technical terms. He never seemed rushed and was upfront and honest about costs when it came to orthotics. He actually seemed like he cared about the patient and the outcome during my initial visit or minor surgery. I recommend him highly.

Loved this doctor and his "chilled-out" manner. Felt as though he would spend however much time we needed. Treatment was quick, and follow-up information was realistic and thorough.

When I called Foot and Ankle Specialists, I thought I'd be making an appointment for weeks into the future. They offered me an appointment the next day. I went in, completed the usual paperwork and didn't wait more then 10 minutes for someone to call me back to see Dr. Masternick. He explained why I had the problem, what he was going to do to fix it, and then he fixed it. Great guy and a great doctor. Fast, efficient, friendly - one of the best medical experiences I've had.

I'm so glad I went to see Dr. Masternick. After 2 other doctors told me I needed surgery on my tendon, Dr. Masternick's opinion was that we first try physical therapy before deciding on surgery. Et voila! I am no longer in pain and can walk normally again.

Dr. Eric Masternick has been my feet's best friend since I started going to see him many years ago. He is very attentive and gives patients time to explain what is bothering them; he is thorough in his evaluations. He always explains what recommendations are best for your problem. They also have new 3D scanning for the most accurate measurements for your orthotics!!! His staff and nurses are just as friendly as he is!

Dr. Masternick is an excellent Podiatrist providing expert care with a wonderful bedside manner. Highly recommend

Quickly saw me and resolved the pain in my foot. Fantastic.

Our pediatrician recommended Dr. Masternick to evaluate a persistent infection in my daughters great toenail after she had a pedicure at a local nail salon. He provided wonderful, compassionate care to my nine year old daughter and his wonderful bedside manner inspired confidence from the very beginning. Even more importantly, she was pain free immediately after her procedure and continued to rapidly heal from there. Thanks Dr. Masternick!

Dr. Masternick is solid. He explains procedures in detail, answers questions genuinely, and combines professionalism with warmth and consideration. My surgery decisions, examinations and tests,and the resulting surgery came off like clockwork. I am grateful for a foot that now works perfectly. Quite a good experience from accidental injury to surgery to complete healing, thanks to Dr. Masternick's skill.

Dr. Masternick is incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and patient. I don't normally write reviews, but my experience with this office has been stellar. Staff are quite nice too and they make the experience easy.

Strongly recommend Dr Masternick, he has most recently treated my daughter but i'm also a patient. Both Dr Masternick and his staff made my daughter feel extremely comfortable and were very engaging. Very strong attention to detail. Strongly recommend.

Dr. Masternick is great. I am a runner and went to him initially for Plantar Fasciitis. He didn't just tell me to stay off it for 6 months, but instead healed and rehabbed me at the same time, which allowed me to get back into running quickly. Have had no issues with PF ever since (7 years). I have also seen him for a custom orthotic, a toenail issue, and most recently for fractured toe with good experiences on all. Highly recommend!

Dr. Masternick was wonderful. He made me feel immediately comfortable, even though I was very uncomfortable with the condition of my foot. I had some unique and specific concerns and he addressed all of them - thoroughly and empathetically. He didn't rush or seem too busy for questions, which I've found to be the case with other doctors I've visited. I highly, highly recommend him!!

Worst office experience Ever! Go any where else but here. Completely incompetent office manager. Onerous financial contract. Rude treatment. No wonder I could get a same day appointment and the waiting room was empty. Intelligent people choose other podiatrists. I will too.

Dr. Masternick and his staff were kind, accommodating and knowledgeable.

Dr. Masternick and his staff were very helpful. He listened to me and explained as he went along. After completing his exam, he sat down and told me what the options were. This was a very good experience to have a doctor spend the time needed to make me feel comfortable.

My experience with Dr. Masternick was extremely positive. He was personable, knowledgeable, and addressed my condition immediately. The rest of the staff at the Reston office of Foot and Ankle Specialists of the Mid-Atlantic were all wonderful as well. I was able to get a new patient appointment the same day. I would highly recommend Dr. Masternick to others.

I was seen by Dr. Masternick for two fractured toes on my right foot. Aside from the phenominal surgery that Dr. Masternick performed, that greatly attributed to my total healing, his professionalism, courtesy and thoroughness played a huge part in the success of my pre and post surgery. He was always very thorough with explanations when I asked questions. The professionalism and patient care from he and his staff were above N beyond. So far, I have visited Dr. Masternick?s office twice due to my right ankle fracture. He explained many of my questions in a kind, patient, professional manner; and treated my fracture with utmost care and knowledge. Keep up the great work, sir!

Dr. Masternick is an excellent, patient, professional and caring doctor. I have just completed follow up/post-op treatment after my foot reconstruction surgery. He is very attentive to my needs, always listens and answers my questions fully. His caring nature has kept me as a patient for many years, including, 2 surgeries and several in-office procedures with excellent outcomes. I would gladly recommended Dr. Masternick to anyone looking for a fine, intelligent, helpful foot and ankle doctor.

These guys are great! They really care about feet whether you're an athlete or not. I broke my ankle running and Dr. Masternick really took the time to under the physiology of my feet and recommended shoe inserts to help stabilize me.
