Dr. Eric U Luy

Dr. Luy was able to remove joint fluid from my hand as I was getting an infection from my rheumatoid arthritis. The nurse was visibly grossed out and he wasn’t afraid to get his hands dirty and also prescribed antibiotics to make sure I didn’t get an infection. The pain was relieved and my hand healed. I’m really lucky to have him as my PCP.

Dr. Luy deserves zero stars. Please do not see Dr. Luy. My husband went to Dr. Luy several times for foot pain. Dr. Luy dismissed his foot pain as psoriasis despite the fact that he had necrotic tissue on his big toe. One month later my husband had a double bypass on his leg due to a clot in his upper leg. Dr. Luy is an internal medicine doctor and he should have caught a vascular issue! My husband almost lost his leg because Dr. Luy wanted to blame his psoriasis and refused to look past that. We will never step foot in his office again.

Dr. Luy is a wonderful, caring doctor. He ensures you get all the information needed and takes every step to get to a diagnosis.

When I see Dr. Luy it is a pleasure. He does not get angry at questions. He likes to work WITH you and is not adverse to questioning, He does blood work to make sure no pills are causing adverse affects on organs and blood. After seven months of fainting Dr. Luy was the only doctor to do enough checking, it happened that I had three PE's! I could be dead now if not for Dr. Luy. When I see Dr. Luy it is a pleasure. Dr. Luy is a wonderful doctor. He knows and understands his craft. He leads several clinics and relates well to young adults to geriatric patients. It's obvious he cares from his excellent bedside manner and sense of humor. Tests are not ordered every visit and referrals I have had are to the best doctors at Froedtert.

Dr. Luy took excellent care of my mother-in-law who had diabetes. She saw a recommended specialist, Dr. Knutson, and had excellent A1C levels that were monitored by a Endocrinology doctor. The negative post needs to be taken with a grain of salt because genetics, whether a patient listens and attends all appointments, checks their A1C levels and follows doctor's orders all attribute to good management of diabetis and most patients' problems are caused by patients management of glucose levels.

I've voiced my concerns with my diabetes condition with Dr. Luy many times. However, he seemed to busy with other patients. He never addressed my concerns on how to manage my diabetes. In my experience with Dr. Luy, he is not attentive at all. He only wants to see me once a year eventhough my diabetes numbers continues to fluctuate and I was recently hospitalized for internal bleeding. I have switched doctors now and am quite pleased with my Aurora doctor now.
